It's a Plane...It's a Bird...It's Pamela Wallin!!!
Well I knew it wouldn't be long before she was back in the news, and sure enough Pamela Wallin is back.
And not in a good way.
New court documents filed by the RCMP allege suspended senator Pamela Wallin fraudulently billed the Senate for more than $25,000 in expenses she incurred on trips to Toronto and Guelph “to pursue her personal and business interests.”
And of course the timing couldn't be worse.

Stephen Harper's Monstrous and Obscene Day of War
It couldn't have been a more deeply disturbing sight. A pumped up Stephen Harper soaking up the applause of his wildly clapping and cheering Cons.
With a weird smile on his face.
Even as he prepared to vote to send our troops into a bigger and more dangerous war.

Why are the Generals Covering Up For Jason Kenney?
The only thing more disturbing than having an incompetent Cold War chickenhawk like Jason Kenney posing as a Defence Minister, and lying like a thief. Over and over again.
Is having Canada's top general, running behind him with a shovel.
To scoop up his manure, or as David Pugliese writes, dig him out of a bomb crater of his own making.

Stephen Harper's Possibly Fatal Syrian Mistake
On CTV's Question Period yesterday Craig Oliver reminded viewers of Theodore Roosevelt's famous quote: "Speak softly and carry a big stick."
And he said Stephen Harper's views on military power, and his new war in Syria, are exactly the opposite: "Speak loudly and carry a twig."
But goodness knows Harper is desperate, and he can't wait to wave it.

Bill C-51 and Stephen Harper's Latest Scam
Well surprise, surprise, it was a false flag after all.
The other day it looked like Stephen Harper had surrendered to reason, by finally agreeing to change his police state bill C-51.
Even though him and his Cons had claimed, or squawked for weeks, that it was perfect and if you didn't like it you must be a terrorist.
But now the experts have taken a closer look at those proposed changes, and sure enough they are just an illusion.

The Ghastly Record and Imaginary Trial of Stephen Harper
I was thinking today about Mike Duffy's trial, which is now only nine days away, and how it may last at least two months, because of all the evidence the Crown has collected.
And all the PMO witnesses they are going to have to grill.
And it gave me a really warm feeling. Until I had a horrible thought.
With all the evidence and the witnesses the Crimes Against Canada Tribunal could call upon at Stephen Harper's trial, it could go on for YEARS.
And we might have to wait forever for the Day of Justice.
Why Young Canadians Can Help Build a Better Canada
As you probably know, I believe that one of the most important things progressives must do is reach out to young Canadians and encourage them to vote.
Not just because if they did vote in greater numbers we could crush the ghastly Cons who are destroying our country and torching their future.
But also because they could help build a better Canada.

Stephen Harper and the Day the Fear Factor Ran Out
I can only imagine the state Stephen Harper must be in this weekend. Because it can't be pretty.
Not after being he was forced to promise changes to his anti-terrorist bill. The one he claimed, so long and so loudly, didn't need to be changed.
And not after the evidence keeps growing that his war and fear campaign just isn't working.

Bill C-51: The Cons Surrender and Will Make Changes
For weeks Stephen Harper and his Cons have been insisting that their dangerous anti-terrorism bill C-51 is perfect and doesn't need any changes.
And ridiculing anyone who suggested otherwise.
But now it seems they are feeling the heat, and are prepared to make some changes.

Why Are the Harper Cons Preparing to Support Al Qaeda?
The brutish Con message has been there from the very beginning, but it just got even more disturbing.
Because there is nothing Stephen Harper will not do or say to try to win another majority.
So if you don't support Bill C-51, his plan to turn us into a police state, you must be with the terrorists.
And if you don't support our Glorious War in Iraq AND Syria, and counting.
You're not a Canadian !!!

Why Does the Chicken Hawk Jason Kenney Lie So Much?
Well let nobody say that I didn't warn them. I predicted that Jason Kenney would be the worst Defence Minister this country has ever known.
A Cold War warrior, a chubby chicken hawk, who would lead us to disaster.
Or judging by the crazy stuff he tweets...
Help trigger the Third World War.
I knew he didn't know what he was doing. But who knew he would lie all the time?

Vic Toews and the Never-Ending Scandals of the Con Regime
He emerged from a Mennonite colony in the Paraguayan jungle to terrorize Canada. He was one of the worst cabinet ministers this country has ever known.
A brutish religious fanatic, a vicious anti-gay bigot, and a ghastly hypocrite.
He called those who didn't agree with him perverts.
He was dogged by one scandal after the other.
And now Vic Toews is in trouble. Again.

The Day Stephen Harper Was Called an Idiot by Tom Mulcair
Ever since he came to power Stephen Harper has made a mockery out of our parliament.
He has used it as a bully pulpit, he has cut off debates, he never answers questions, he lies all the time. He has turned it into a bad joke, or a fascist circus.
But yesterday when he was asked about the legality of his new war in Syria, and he turned his answer into a joke.
He got put in his place by Tom Mulcair...

Jason Kenney's Monstrous Day of Delusion
What a happy coincidence. The day after I pointed out that the Con's religious base has been pressuring them to expand the war into Syria.
So they can help the Syrian Christians who support that country's bloody dictator, and have been targeted by the ISIS crazies.
The uncrowned Pope of that religious base, Jason Kenney did come
To declare that it was the Americans who pressured or nudged us into Syria.

The Con Regime's Never-ending War on Vulnerable Canadians
While Stephen Harper declares war on the Great Terrorist Menace, claiming only he can save our lives from those who would behead us in our beds.
His foul Con regime continues to wage war on some of Canada's most vulnerable Canadians.
Even if it could cost thousands of them their lives.
For while this is good news.

The Other Big Reason Stephen Harper Wants to Bomb Syria
One of the things that horrifies me the most about the living nightmare that is Stephen Harper's Canada, is that so many have lived for so long in his depraved shadow.
But yet so few in the MSM seem to understand him or his motives.
And today was another good example of that curious blindness which is killing this country.
When Harper mounted his shiny steed, sticky with excitement, and announced that we will now be bombing targets in Iraq AND Syria.

The Con Porkers and the Disgraceful Muzzling of Elizabeth May
Over the years Stephen Harper's Cons have turned our parliament into a heaving grunting monstrosity, a fascist circus, a political pig sty.
They cut off debate, they answer any question about anything with the same talking points. They yell, they holler, they shout down their opponents like good ol' rednecks high on hooch. They lie like thieves, over and over again.
And when all fails they shut it down.
But even by their low standards, I found this particularly hoggish.

Bill C-51: The Cons Use Emotion to Try to Conquer Reason
It was a moving moment. The sister of the murdered soldier Patrice Vincent testifying before committee studying Bill C-51.
But it also symbolized the ghastly way the Cons are running the hearing. For they will not hear from the Canadian Bar Association or the Privacy Commissioner.
But they will turn it into a star chamber, and demand to know whether those testifying are with them or the terrorists.
And they will appeal to emotion rather than reason.

Robert Fisk: If Harper is Serious About Cultural Barbarism He Should Arrest Himself
I grabbed this shot with my mobile this afternoon of a debate that was going on in the House of Commons.
Because the title jumped out at me, and made me wonder again what country I am living in.
And then I remembered that the Con in the picture is Wladyslaw Lizon, one of the founding members of the group that wants to build that foul monument to Harperism.
And I was reminded of what Robert Fisk wrote the other day.
If Stephen Harper is serious about criminalizing "barbaric cultural practices" then he should arrest himself.

Stephen Harper's Desperate Rush to War
He's spent the last few days licking his wounds after he was caught deliberately fanning the flames of racism, and was hit by a wave of revulsion.
And no doubt he's been knocking back a few to try to forget what's happening to the economy.
Because that makes HIM feel sick, or makes all the voices in his head start screaming at the same time.
But now he's back on his feet, he's inflamed with energy of the desperate, and he's rushing off or lurching off to WAR.

The Harper Regime and the Summer of Protest
As you know I was so happy to see thousands of Canadians taking to the streets to let Stephen Harper and his foul Cons exactly what we think of them.
Because I will never understand why we have remained so passive and so quiet for so many years, while Harper and his Cons raped our Canada and its values.
Instead of protesting like they do in other countries.
Not when his behaviour has been so brutish, not when he's now trying to use fear to scare people into voting for him, not when he's trying to turn us into a police state.
And not when he's threatening to torch the country by fanning the flames of intolerance.

Three More Reasons Why Bill C-51 Should be Scrapped
There are so many good reasons why Bill C-51 should be gutted or scrapped.
Starting with the main one: it would turn us into a police state.
But here are three other reasons I came across today:
(1) The police didn't need any new powers to arrest and convict these pathetic wannabe terrorists.
Raed Jaser and Chiheb Esseghaier, two men accused of plotting to derail a Via passenger train travelling between Canada and the U.S., have been found guilty of a series of terror-related charges.
They had all the tools they needed, and some they didn't use. And as in other cases, enough video to make a movie.
(2) Michael Geist, who knows what he's talking about, says the bill is dangerous.
As witnesses line up to warn about the dangers associated with Bill C-51, Canada’s anti-terrorism bill, it’s increasingly clear that the proposed legislation is an unprecedented undermining of Canadian privacy protection.
The bill permits information-sharing across government for an incredibly wide range of purposes, most of which have nothing to do with terrorism. The government has tried to justify the provisions on the grounds that Canadians would support sharing information for national security purposes — but the bill allows sharing for reasons that would surprise and disturb most Canadians.
But even though it would gut the Privacy Act, the Con controlled Public Security committee hasn't seen fit to invite the Privacy Commissioner.
Because that's the kind of kangaroo hearings Roxanne James and the other Cons are running...
Which in itself tells us all we need to know about the bill, and why it should be scrapped.
(3) The Canadian Bar Association also thinks the Bill threatens our freedoms.
The Conservative government's anti-terrorism bill contains "ill-considered" measures that will deprive Canadians of liberties without increasing their safety, the Canadian Bar Association says.
And the Charter of Rights.
It potentially brings "the entire Charter into jeopardy, undermines the rule of law, and goes against the fundamental role of judges as the protectors of Canada's constitutional rights."
But despite the CBA's expertise, or because of it, the Con committee hasn't invited it to testify either.
Now take all of the above, boil it down, and sum it up this way for anyone who STILL doesn't get it.
Bill C-51 should be scrapped, because it has nothing to do with terrorism, and everything to do with YOU...
And our deranged Big Brother, and his depraved need for total control...
And since we can't scrap the bill, unless we defeat him, we know what to do.
Help spread the message about why it's so dangerous. Because polls show the more people know what's in the bill, the more they dislike it.
And of course, for the sake of internet freedom, and the rule of law.
Work to drive Stephen Harper and his foul Cons from power.
Before they turn this country into a police state...

Benjamin Netanyahu and the Apartheid State
Benjamin Netanyahu may have won the Israeli election, by using fear and racism to get people to vote for him.

As you probably remember, when I saw that Stephen Harper had poured gasoline on the flames of bigotry in Quebec, and I saw how his words had galvanized the Bloc Québécois.

And I knew that it wouldn't be long before other zombies would stagger out to take advantage of the situation.
And sure enough out of his PQ crypt came Pierre Karl Péladeau.

Is the Canada Revenue Agency Helping Build the Monument to Harperism?
Last night I told you how more and more decent Canadians are joining together to denounce the monstrous Memorial to the Victims of Communism.
The ghastly monument Stephen Harper is building to himself.
Just to pander to the ethnic vote, and stick another knife into the Supreme Court.
Well today it seems that the builders of that monstrosity may be getting some help from the Canada Revenue Agency.

I've written a few posts about the plans for a monstrous Memorial to the Victims of Communism
And how it's really a monument to Stephen Harper and his ghastly regime. A Harper/Kenney/Baird production designed to pleasure their base and glorify themselves.
And since the land had been reserved for a new federal court, is just another slap in the face of our justice system.
I have also pointed out how many distinguished architects have criticized it for being too big and too ugly.
While others have attacked it for its monumental cynicism.

Why the Struggle Against Bill C-51 Must Continue
It's taken me two days to come down from last Saturday's big demonstration against the Harper regime's foul Bill C-51.
Because I do wear my heart on my sleeve, and it was so great to see so many Canadians in the street at last.

Stephen Harper, Mike Duffy, and the PMO Nightmare
Stephen Harper's PMO is one of the most sinister organizations in Canada, and one of the most secretive.
No decent Canadian has ever been able to penetrate its murky darkness, or know exactly how it works. Or how its monstrous master controls his faithful fanatics.

Is Stephen Harper Fighting Terrorism or Promoting It?
As we know Stephen Harper would have us believe that the "international jihadist movement" has declared war on Canada.
That there is no greater threat to our lives and our values. And of course, that only he can save us from being beheaded in our beds.
But unfortunately for him, the facts don't back up that argument. And this burning question must be asked:
Is he fighting the international jihadist conspiracy, or helping to promote it?

Stephen Harper and his Monstrous McCarthyite Cons
When we last left Stephen Harper yesterday afternoon, he was in his Terror Command Bunker, also known as the Fear Centre, trying to block out the sights and the sounds of yesterday's massive Day of Action.
And no doubt shocked by the sight of all those demonstrators, all those Stop Harper signs.
And of course, his failure to scare them into submission, or muzzle them, like he has so many other decent Canadians.
Still, you might think he would tell his grotesque Con committee members, who are "studying" the bill, to back off a bit. And listen to the experts instead of treating them like terrorists.
