Now We Know Why the Liberals Don't Want to Scrap the Saudi Deal

Well it's taken a while, but now we know why the Liberal government is so reluctant to scrap the deal to sell armoured vehicles to Saudi Arabia.

Not just because it would cost thousands of jobs, in an area of Canada which has been ravaged by the collapse of our manufacturing industry.

But also because there would be a huge cancellation penalty.

The Brussels Attack and the Wretched Con Warmongers

Every time terrorists attack a target in Europe, like they did in Brussels this week, it brings the warmongers crawling out of the woodwork in Canada.

And has the absurd Con chicken hawks blaming Justin Trudeau.

And sure enough the aftermath of that cowardly attack was no exception.

Justin Trudeau and Those Who Would Destroy the Dream

He's at the G20 summit in Turkey, doing a great job of repairing this country's soiled reputation, and getting mobbed by his many admirers.

And making us look cool again in the eyes of the world, instead of the slack jawed residents of the insane asylum Harperland, or the Army of the Walking Dead.

But back home his enemies are already using the bloody tragedy in Paris as a weapon to try to destroy him.

Led of course, by the chunky chicken hawk and religious fanatic Jason Kenney.

Stephen Harper and the Great Desperate War on Terror. Again

Nothing could tell us more about the dilapidated state of the Con regime, than Stephen Harper's absurd attempt yesterday to crank up the Great Terrorist Menace.

For there he was at yet another staged photo-op, with his travelling "Protecting Canadians" sign, trying to make Canadians believe that our country is besieged by hordes of dangerous terrorists or tourists.

In yet another other desperate attempt to scare Canadians into voting for him, so he can turn this country into a police state.

When in fact, if you take a close look at his face, it's pretty clear that the most desperate and frightened person in Canada is Harper himself.

Jason Kenney, Stephen Harper, and the Absurd Chicken Hawk Cons

In retrospect it could only be called a triumph of bad timing. For there was Jason Kenney at the Canadian Club in Toronto, puffing out his chest like a chicken hawk, and claiming that the Great War in Iraq was going according to plan.

Despite the setback in Ramadi.

The seizure of Ramadi by ISIS is a regrettable setback, Defence Minister Jason Kenney says, but no indication that coalition forces are losing the battle in Iraq against the militant organization.

"Just imagine if we weren't there, how much more territory they would have claimed," Kenney told reporters following a speech to the Canadian Club of Toronto

Even as the Syrian city of Palmyra was falling to the ISIS crazies.

Stephen Harper: Supporting the Troops AND Endangering Them

He likes to turn everything into just another big photo-op. He likes to pose as a Great Warrior Leader.

He likes to run pictures of himself and our soldiers, to prove he supports our troops.

Even if he endangers them.

Stephen Harper and Jason Kenney's Con Clown Tour of Iraq

It looked like a scene out of one of those On the Road movies with Bing Crosby and Bob Hope.

Except that this movie is not a comedy it's a horror show.

It's Stephen Harper and Jason Kenney on the road in Iraq,

Giving themselves another big, fat, juicy photo-op with OUR money.

Stephen Harper and the Great War on Russia

As we all know Stephen Harper is no Great Warrior Leader, no matter what his faithful flunkies, and the voices in his head tell him.

And we'd be crazy to trust him with our safety, when he's the greatest threat we face.

But it seems tomorrow's long delayed budget, won't just be a crass attempt to buy votes, it will also be a Great War and Security Budget.

Jason Kenney's Monstrous Day of Delusion

What a happy coincidence. The day after I pointed out that the Con's religious base has been pressuring them to expand the war into Syria.

So they can help the Syrian Christians who support that country's bloody dictator, and have been targeted by the ISIS crazies.

The uncrowned Pope of that religious base, Jason Kenney did come galloping stumbling out.

To declare that it was the Americans who pressured or nudged us into Syria.

Stephen Harper's Desperate Rush to War

He's spent the last few days licking his wounds after he was caught deliberately fanning the flames of racism, and was hit by a wave of revulsion.

And no doubt he's been knocking back a few to try to forget what's happening to the economy.

Because that makes HIM feel sick, or makes all the voices in his head start screaming at the same time.

But now he's back on his feet, he's inflamed with energy of the desperate, and he's rushing off or lurching off to WAR.

Three More Reasons Why Bill C-51 Should be Scrapped

There are so many good reasons why Bill C-51 should be gutted or scrapped.

Starting with the main one: it would turn us into a police state.

But here are three other reasons I came across today:

(1) The police didn't need any new powers to arrest and convict these pathetic wannabe terrorists.

Raed Jaser and Chiheb Esseghaier, two men accused of plotting to derail a Via passenger train travelling between Canada and the U.S., have been found guilty of a series of terror-related charges.

They had all the tools they needed, and some they didn't use. And as in other cases, enough video to make a movie.

(2) Michael Geist, who knows what he's talking about, says the bill is dangerous.

As witnesses line up to warn about the dangers associated with Bill C-51, Canada’s anti-terrorism bill, it’s increasingly clear that the proposed legislation is an unprecedented undermining of Canadian privacy protection.

The bill permits information-sharing across government for an incredibly wide range of purposes, most of which have nothing to do with terrorism. The government has tried to justify the provisions on the grounds that Canadians would support sharing information for national security purposes — but the bill allows sharing for reasons that would surprise and disturb most Canadians.

But even though it would gut the Privacy Act, the Con controlled Public Security committee hasn't seen fit to invite the Privacy Commissioner.

Because that's the kind of kangaroo hearings Roxanne James and the other Cons are running...

Which in itself tells us all we need to know about the bill, and why it should be scrapped.

(3) The Canadian Bar Association also thinks the Bill threatens our freedoms.

The Conservative government's anti-terrorism bill contains "ill-considered" measures that will deprive Canadians of liberties without increasing their safety, the Canadian Bar Association says.

And the Charter of Rights.

It potentially brings "the entire Charter into jeopardy, undermines the rule of law, and goes against the fundamental role of judges as the protectors of Canada's constitutional rights."

But despite the CBA's expertise, or because of it, the Con committee hasn't invited it to testify either.

Now take all of the above, boil it down, and sum it up this way for anyone who STILL doesn't get it.

Bill C-51 should be scrapped, because it has nothing to do with terrorism, and everything to do with YOU...

And our deranged Big Brother, and his depraved need for total control...

And since we can't scrap the bill, unless we defeat him, we know what to do.

Help spread the message about why it's so dangerous. Because polls show the more people know what's in the bill, the more they dislike it.

And of course, for the sake of internet freedom, and the rule of law.

Work to drive Stephen Harper and his foul Cons from power.

Before they turn this country into a police state...

Stephen Harper and the Vigilantes

Oh boy. It's so hard to keep up with Stephen Harper and all the voices in his head.

One moment he's urging people in rural areas to get a gun to protect themselves if they don't live near a police station.

The next moment he's claiming he's NOT supporting vigilantism.

Stephen Harper: Great Strong Leader or Terrorist Collaborator?

Well don't say I didn't warn you eh? Two years ago I wrote a post saying that I didn't think it was a good idea that Stephen Harper should appoint his chief bodyguard Bruno Saccomani to be our new ambassador to Jordan.

Not with Bruno's lack of diplomatic training, and not when so many of those who worked for him thought he was a bully.

The management review included interviews with 41 per cent of the 116-member unit, many of whom reported problems with their boss including intimidation, favouritism, discrimination and harassment.

And I also warned that I thought that CSIS was out of control, and also hiring the wrong people...

Bill C-51: The Cons Turn the Committee Hearings Into a Star Chamber

Well as could have been predicted, the committee hearings into Stephen Harper's totalitarian Bill C-51 are turning into a sinister spectacle.

With a little bit of Orwell, and a little bit of Kafka.

The Kafka part being that although the bill would give the security forces massive powers to invade our privacy, on a scale never seen before.

The Cons don't think the committee needs to hear from Canada's Privacy Commissioner,

Jason Kenney and the Great Con Clown War on Terror

As you probably know, I'm still having a REALLY hard time coming to terms with the brutal fact that Jason Kenney is Canada's Defence Minister.

The very thought that a chubby chickenhawk and religious fanatic like Kenney should be in charge of any armed force is frankly frightening.

Especially now that the Great War on Terror and/or Muslims seems to have inflamed him. He can't stop playing Patton.

And sounding like Strangelove...

The Con Clowns and the Terrorist Menace

Well it was obvious that Stephen Harper and his Con regime would try to portray the video of that deranged Ottawa gunman, as proof that they were right all along.

Michael Zehaf-Bibeau wasn't a mentally ill drug addict, a religious fanatic, a lone wolf with delusions or confusions of grandeur.

He was a real Jihadi terrorist, or a real ‘mujahadeen.’

Stephen Harper Fear Campaign Gets Slammed by Canadians

Well as you know Stephen Harper has been busy trying to crank up the Fear Factor in his Great War on Terror.

By spreading terrorist propaganda on his Facebook site, to try to scare Canadians into voting for him. While he turns Canada into a police state with his dangerously flawed Bill C-51.

But unfortunately for him and his ghastly Cons, his crass performance is a little too obvious.

And it's getting some really bad reviews.

Stephen Harper the Not So Great Economist Leader

Well now we know why Stephen Harper would rather talk about terrorism than the economy.

Why he would rather scare people into voting him, than promise them better jobs.

Because if he did talk about the economy people would be REALLY scared.

Or really ANGRY.

Stephen Harper, Bill C-51, and the Harvest of Fear

For months Stephen Harper has been working day and night to try to create a climate of fear.

He has fanned the flames of paranoia and xenophobia, appealed to the beasts that dwell within us.

He is using the armed forces to help him portray the world as a dark and threatening place, with videos like this one...

Which is designed to dovetail with his own party propaganda, is full of the hollow words he uses every day, like "values" and "freedoms." And is being played over and over again on Canadian TV.

So not surprisingly he is reaping his harvest of fear.

Why Benjamin Netanyahu Could End Up Hurting Stephen Harper

Oh. My. Gorilla. I see Benjamin Netanyahu has begun his controversial visit to the United States.

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has arrived in the US to argue against a possible nuclear deal with Iran. Mr Netanyahu says the deal would be inadequate to prevent Tehran from acquiring a nuclear bomb. He is due to give a speech in Congress on Tuesday which was not agreed in advance with the Obama administration, angering the White House.

And although he has spent the last few days trying to portray it as a "sacred mission."

And claiming to speak for the "entire Jewish people."

He not only risks making a fool out of himself, he could also end up embarrassing his faithful stooge Stephen Harper.
