Why Pierre Poilievre Will Never Be Prime Minister

It was great to be able to finally return to my peaceful neighbourhood by the lake, and find it looking as beautiful as ever.

And after a lot of travelling, and a case of the flu, I was tempted not to resume blogging until the New Year.

But I just couldn't let the grubby Pierre Poilievre get away with this latest Big Lie for ONE minute longer

The Cons and the Monstrous Con Convoy Show

I never believed that the far right trucker's occupation of Ottawa was all about vaccine mandates, or bouncy castles, or as one kooky Con called it Canada's Woodstock.

And after watching the Emergency Act inquiry I see I was right.

That bestial spectacle wasn't really a protest, it was a Con attempt to overthrow a duly elected government.

And what made it even worse was that it had all the elements of a fascist conspiracy.

Pierre Poilievre and the Nightmares He Can’t Escape

I always knew that Pierre Poilievre would never be able to make Canadians forget his shameful behaviour when the trucker convoy goons tried to bring down Justin Trudeau.

He refused to condemn the hairy Con barbarians who held the helpless people of Ottawa hostage for almost a month, intimidated, tortured them, and drove so many to the edge of despair, or worse.

Now he's desperately trying to escape the curse of the convoy, and sounding like he's losing his marbles…

Pierre Poilievre and the Convoy Horror

Pierre Poilievre has only been Con leader for a few weeks, but already he is hiding from the media.

He doesn't want to answer questions about his shabby bitcoin scam. He doesn't want to answer questions about why he tried to hide a vile woman hating tag in his YouTube videos.

And of course, he doesn't want to answer any questions about this sordid scandal.

Pierre Poilievre and the War on Women

I've always thought there was something weird about the way Pierre Poilievre goes after Justin Trudeau.

I wondered what made him so angry all the time, and I began to believe that he was trying to hide something.

And that the real reason he hates Trudeau so much was Trudeau's support for women's rights.

For I noticed that any time a woman criticized him, she also got the Trudeau treatment.

And sure enough I was right.

The Ugliness of the Con Monster Pierre Poilievre

Two weeks ago Pierre Poilievre was still celebrating his victory in the Con leadership race, so was his wife Anaida.

And everything seemed to be coming up roses for the Con couple.

Poilievre's courting of the right-wing convoy extremists who occupied Ottawa appeared  to have paid off big time, and made him look like a bright new old star in the Canadian political universe.

But sadly for him, and her, that didn't last.

Pierre Poilievre Exposes His Inner Evil Again

I didn't really want to watch the coronation of Pierre Poilievre, let alone write about it.

It was just too boring and too ugly.

And of course everyone knew who was going to win. The fix was in.

But it didn't take long for Poilievre to show us what kind of Prime Minister he would be.

And all Canadians should be warned, for it was really scary.

Firstly, when his victory was announced his supporters started chanting "Freedom" "Freedom."

Which was not only bizarre, it also clearly showed that the Con cult is now officially the Convoy Party.

A branch of the Trump Party.

And as Canadian as a three dollar bill.

But it was Poilievre's brief news conference yesterday, that really showed us what we can expect from that grubby little demagogue.

Reporters wanted to ask him about the resignation of the Con's Quebec Lieutenant Alain Reyes.

But Poilievre only agreed to answer two questions, and when David Akin, Global's News' chief political correspondent, objected, Poilievre called him a "Liberal heckler."

Before running out of the room like only a cowardly Con could.

And then using it to try to squeeze more money out of his dumb followers as only Trump or a Con grifter could.

While sending his flying monkeys after the now independent MP Alain Reyes.

A Quebec MP who left the Conservative Party of Canada Tuesday after Pierre Poilievre won the leadership over the weekend says he is facing harassment and bullying from people within the party.

It was a dreadful way to start his first day on the job. It couldn't have been worse.

But I'm not surprised. The foul Con cult has been inflating itself by making it sound like Poilievre's big leadership numbers have progressives trembling in their boots.

Which is absolute nonsense, when the numbers don't mean a thing:

And as Chantal Hebert recently wrote in the Toronto Star, Poilievre's victory has only energized Justin Trudeau, and made him even more determined NOT to leave Canada in Poilievre's hands.

Conventional wisdom has it that Trudeau wants to stay on because he is confident he can beat Poilievre. There is no doubt hubris has played a part in the decision of past prime ministers to tempt fate by campaigning for a fourth term.

But there is more than a prime ministerial vanity project in play in such decisions.

In Trudeau’s case, it is likely not just that he thinks he can prevail in a battle against Poilievre but almost certainly that he believes he must.

So the Con plan to try to get Trudeau to resign by smearing him, and making him and his family feel unsafe, has failed miserably.

And so much for the leader of the Convoy Party. After being far too too polite for far too long, Trudeau is finally taking up the challenge and putting on the gloves.

He put down Harper, he put down Scheer, he put down O'Toole, and I get the feeling he can't wait to flatten the grubby bully Poilievre.

And if decent Canadians unite behind him.

It won't even be close...

How Pierre Poilievre and His Convoy Party Are Killing Canada

Although fall marks the end of summer, and heralds the impeding arrival of winter, I have always loved the season.

The fall colours are just another reason I love Canada so much.

But this year I'm finding it hard to celebrate the stunning beauty of our country.

Can Pierre Poilievre Control His Convoy Crazies?

I can only imagine how pleased Pierre Poilievre must have been, to be the first Con to welcome the far-right truckers to Ottawa.

He cheered their arrival, he defended their occupation, he brought them donuts and coffee.

And for a while at least the move paid off, as the convoy kooks bought lots of memberships and helped give him a big lead in the Con leadership race.

But that was then, and now it's a nightmare.

For now it turns out his convoy buddies were riddled with potentially dangerous terrorists.

Now we find out that while Poilievre was pandering to the convoy crazies, and claiming they weren't a threat, the RCMP was worried that some of their own officers were part of the problem.

So Poilievre must be held accountable for having fanned the flames of toxic Trudeau hatred, and inspiring others to go after the prime minister in the most bestial manner.

While he whoops it up with the ghastly far-right thug Jeremy MacKenzie, the founder of the Diagolon terrorist movement.

It's a deeply disturbing picture, so much so that some in the media are warning that Poilievre is taking this once peaceful country to a very dark place.

Poilievre has gone too far. It’s time he started to cool down his rhetoric and chill out the more radical segments of his base before someone — a politician, a police officer, a journalist, an ordinary citizen — gets seriously hurt, or worse.

Others wonder whether can contain the beast he has unleashed...

Like the dwarves who dug too deep for riches in the mines of Moria, Poilievre has plumbed the depths of social media for conspiracy theories and grievance rhetoric, coming up with campaign gold by embracing the freedom convoy and anti-vaxxers. It has earned him a ton cash for party coffers and a record number of new memberships.

The question now is whether Poilievre can contain the populist beast he has unleashed by channelling his inner Stephen Harper, or whether he’d rather hop on its back, ring firmly embedded, and burn the place down.

And quite frankly, I don't think he can. In fact I don't think he will even try to hold back the terrorist beast he has unleashed, for if he did he'd lose half his base.

And besides, he has been sowing rage for so long...

Now he can only be described as a terrorist sympathizer himself.

And the good news?

Most ugly members of his Convoy Party may love him.

More than half of Conservative voters in Canada want Pierre Poilievre to lead the CPC party, suggests a new Ipsos poll conducted exclusively for Global News.

But most decent Canadians will make sure he is NEVER Prime Minister.

Despite Poilievre being the widely perceived frontrunner for leader among Conservative voters, less than one in four Canadians appear to have a positive impression of him, the poll suggests. That’s a drop of two points from July.

His grand plan to turn Canada into a fascist country is going nowhere.

And Canadians are laughing at him already...

The Abominable Cowardice of Pierre Poilievre

I have rarely seen a video that disturbed me more than the one of the Con ape Elliot McDavid going after Chrystia Freeland.

I have always hated bullies, and McDavid's loud and vulgar misogyny made it even harder to watch.

But what I thought was even more disgusting was the way the apeman and his ape wife reacted after the attack.

As you can see in this slightly longer video than the one I ran in my last post.

Pierre Poilievre and his Trailer Park Gang

It's hard to know how desperate Pierre Poilievre must be after all the mistakes his sordid campaign has made recently.

But judging from the panicked state of his advisers, and the kooky videos he's putting out, he must finally have realized that he might win the Con leadership race, but he will never be Prime Minister.

For this video is truly desperate.

The Day Pierre Poilievre Showed Us Who He Really Is

Pierre Poilievre has been making a lot of kooky videos recently, that are both deeply disturbing, and strangely enough also hilarious.

Like the latest one where he compares our banking system to a parking meter, that is always stealing our money.

Or the one where he looks like he's about to make love to a piece of wood. *Shudder.*

But don't be fooled, he's no comedian.

Pierre Poilievre and the Road To Oblivion

As soon as the Con leadership race began Pierre Poilievre came charging out, determined to leave his opponents in the dust.

Or drive them off the road.

He got big crowds at some rallies, he promised them all kind of crazy things AND the head of Justin Trudeau.

And with less than a month to go he's still pedalling furiously.

But now he's not going anywhere.

How Many Lives Is Pierre Poilievre Prepared to Sacrifice?

In my last post I wrote about reports that Pierre Poilievre is slowly but surely losing his marbles.

The news that Stephen Harper's endorsement had done him more harm than good has apparently pushed him over the deep end.

He can't believe that his Big Daddy could let him down so badly, after all his faithful years of service.

And then there's that other question, that sooner or later will come back to haunt him.

Is Pierre Poilievre Finally Losing His Marbles?

Pierre Poilievre is a really kooky person, a really kooky Con, and he has been making some really kooky videos.

Like the one where he appeared to make love to a piece of wood, slobbering all over it like he wanted to mount it.

Or the the one where he visited a small nightclub and managed to make it look like a mini version of Dracula's castle.

But his latest video has a lot of people wondering whether the ghastly Con is losing his marbles.

Pierre Poilievre and the Deadly Terrorist Threat

I call them the toxic Trudeau haters, and have long warned that unless these ugly Cons are brought under control they could set this country on fire.

Only to be shocked by the indifference of so many Canadians, and the media's failure to recognize the danger and expose those would be domestic terrorists.

So you can imagine how happy I am to see one reporter, Gary Mason, sound the alarm.

How Stephen Harper Did Pierre Poilievre No Favours

It has been almost a week since Stephen Harper emerged from his far right crypt to endorse Pierre Poilievre, and we still don't know why he did it.

Did he do it to help Poilievre? Did he do it to screw Jean Charest? Or did he do it to help himself, and try to make people believe that the Cons still belong to him?

We may never know the answer, but one thing is for sure.

It was an absolute disaster.

Pierre Poilievre and the Curse of Stephen Harper

Stephen Harper has been lurking in the shadows of the ghastly Con leadership race from the moment it began.

He let his flunkeys know that they should do everything they could to support Pierre Poilievre, to prevent Jean Charest from becoming Con leader.

But he never dared show his face.

Until things showed signs of going  terribly wrong.

Poilievre's popularity started to tank, Charest's popularity surged.

And a panicky Harper came crawling out of the shadows to make his choice official.

It's a spooky video that reminds me of a ghostly white Dracula risen from the dead.

Or the Kiss of the SpiderCon...

But far from giving Poilievre a boost, I believe that endorsement will have the opposite effect.

For while it will probably ensure that Poilievre wins the Con leadership race, I believe it will seal his fate in the general election.

In their desperate search for a saviour, the Cons seem to have forgotten how much many Canadians still hate Harper.

They forget how much damage he did when he was Prime Minister, and how far he has fallen since Justin Trudeau booted him out of office.

So much so that in his role as chairman of the far right IDU, he now cheers for people like the Nazi Victor Orban

Hungary’s far-right prime minister, has lashed out against the “mixing” of European and non-European races,in a speech that immediately drew outrage from opposition parties and European politicians.

“We [Hungarians] are not a mixed race … and we do not want to become a mixed race,” said Orbán on Saturday. He added that countries where European and non-Europeans mingle were “no longer nations”.

And when you add that kind of baggage, to the fascist baggage Poilievre is now carrying...

And you add Harper to the list of Poilievre's other equally ugly supporters...

It gives new meaning to the old saying: With friends like that who needs enemies?

And so much for those gatekeepers...

You know, Poilievre was almost certainly going to lose the next general election.

But with Stephen Harper on his side he doesn't stand a chance.

And the wonderful irony is that the man who created the monster Cons.

Will be the one who finally destroys them....

Pierre Poilievre and the Island Airport Fiasco

You don't have to live right next to Billy Bishop Airport, like I and about half a million others do, to understand what a disruptive presence the island airport has become.

When the wind blows from a certain direction, you can hear the noise and smell the fumes all over downtown Toronto.

So you can imagine how I felt when I saw that Pierre Poilievre had invaded my neighbourhood. Again.

And had made a deranged video, about his plan to destroy it.

Pierre Poilievre and the Climate Change Trap

Pierre Poilievre has been a professional politician all his life. It's the only job he's ever done.

He's a feral politico if ever there was one, with a well honed survival instinct.

So it's hard to understand how he could have made such a potentially catastrophic mistake as thinking he could get away with ignoring the issue of climate change.

Even though it's the biggest issue we face.

Even as the planet burns.

Have the Cons Finally Blown Up Their Party?

It was yet another perfect blue sky day, and I was feeling even sunnier than usual.

So I thought that instead of writing about the ugliness of the Cons, I would write about something different, and a little a lot lighter.

Like the Prime Minister's new haircut.

I couldn't decide whether I liked it or not, but it didn't really matter.

Because suddenly the sunny picture darkened.

Pierre Poilievre and the Hidden Hand of Harper

I've been taking some time off to enjoy one of the finest summers I can remember, with one blue sky day after the other.

I've enjoyed getting out on the lake, leaving the noise and the madness of the big city behind.

And feeling the fresh clean wind in my face.

But try as I might, I haven't been able to get away from the stench of Pierre Poilievre.

For there he was the other day, playing pretend cowboy at the Calgary Stampede, wearing a hat so big it made him look like the Flying Nun.

And absolutely ridiculous.

But then Big Hat wasn't really trying to impress anybody.

He just wanted people to try to forget the posse of far-right extremists he was seen riding with the other day.

For even that ghastly Con now realizes that he has made a humungous mistake.

In a country where the convoy terrorists are almost universally despised, he has reminded Canadians that he is one of them.

So he can no longer pretend that he isn't a true believer.

So much so that some journalists like Max Fawcett are now calling the Cons the Convoy Party.

While our nation’s capital managed to survive the festivities mostly unscathed, the so-called convoy’s creeping takeover of this country’s official Opposition continues apace.

Far from turning his back on the more extremist elements of that movement, Poilievre seems determined to hug them as close as possible.

While other decent Canadians are warning of the growing threat of fascism.

And what makes all of the above even worse for me, is that Big Hat Poilievre reminds me of this ugly Con...

Poilievre's evil Reform daddy, who as Tom Mulcair points out, is clearly the hidden hand behind the scenes, trying to anoint him leader of the party he founded.

Conservative skullduggery in booting out Patrick Brown as a candidate reflects very badly on a Party prone to lecturing others about probity, ethics and integrity.

When you look at their connections to the Harper era, this whole manoeuvre appears even more troubling. The man overseeing the decision (and announcing it near midnight!) was Stephen Harper’s former Chief of Staff. Meanwhile, Harper’s former campaign manager is the senior adviser for Pierre Poilievre, the candidate who benefits most from the elimination of his only serious rivals.

And the more you look at the sudden decision to boot out Patrick Brown, it's also clear that the Harperites were really going after Jean Charest, a man Harper despises.

And that the move was triggered a few days after the Charest campaign released a document claiming that he had a "path to victory."

That was the real target of these shenanigans, not Patrick Brown but Jean Charest. As has always been their habit, the Harperites knew what they wanted - a Poilievre win - and they were going to get it, by hook or by crook.

Charest still has a “path to victory”? Destroy it…

It's such a grotesque example of gangster politics.

But it tells us all we need to know about them, and it's a move that could backfire badly.

For if Canadians come to believe that a vote for Poilievre is a vote for Harper, as they surely will. We'll make sure of that.

Justin Trudeau will do to Poilievre what he did to his evil master...

Deposit him head first in the garbage can of history.

You know, when the Globe and Mail ran this story the other day, just the headline drove the Cons crazy.

You could hear the Con kooks wailing and screaming from coast to coast  to coast.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAH !!!!

But they just don't get it. They just don't understand that Justin Trudeau will always be more popular than Pierre Poilievre.

For he's a real leader.

While the nasty nerd Poilievre will always be Harper's bridezilla...

And the hidden hand that is directing his campaign now.

Will drag both of them, and their party down, long before the next election...

Will Pierre Poilievre and his Zombies Take Down The Cons?

The Con leadership race was always going to be a horror show. Most of the candidates and their supporters were some of the worst political freaks this country has ever known.

They were racists, ugly misogynists, vile homophobes, and climate change deniers determined to torch the planet in the name of Big Oil.

And then, when the far right truckers occupied Ottawa and held Canadians hostage for weeks, they became terrorist sympathizers.

And their leader Pierre Poilievre made it clear he would do anything to try to become Prime Minister.
