Will Stephen Harper Really Get Away With Rewriting History?

It couldn't be a more Orwellian move, or a greater threat to our democracy.

Stephen Harper's outrageous decision to protect the RCMP by rewriting history.

But this is Harperland, he is drunk with power, he really does believe the truth is what he says it is, and he is out of control.

So it seems there is nothing we can do to stop our Big Brother from bending the law to suit his sinister purposes.

Stephen Harper and the Insanity of the Con Regime

As Stephen Harper continues his desperate struggle to snatch another bloody majority there can be no doubt that the stress is getting to him.

And one can't help get the feeling that the voices in his head are now screaming at each other.

For one moment he is a Great Warrior Leader, and the next moment he's Great Gentle Leader. The Mother of the Nation and the Great Protector of Children.

And now it seems the leading voice in his head is telling him: why not be BOTH?

At the same time.

Stephen Harper and the New Happy Harperland

It's been a cold miserable spring that feels more like fall. After the winter from hell.

And it is Harperland.

Where a depraved would be dictator is trying to buy the next election, turn us into a police state, and lead us into one war after the other.

After running the economy into the ground, and doing his best to torch the planet.

So I must say I was surprised to see that so many Canadians are so happy.

Stephen Harper and the Summer of Protest

At a time when Stephen Harper is trying to drag us into his monstrous darkness.

By using fear as a weapon against his own people, whipping up war fever for crass political purposes, and trying to bribe us and brainwash us.

While preparing to turn us into a police state, and sucking the life blood out of this country, its democracy and its values.

It's great to see the noble and idealistic Brigette De Pape still standing up to him, still trying to Stop Harper.

Is Stephen Harper's Fear Campaign Running Out of Fear?

He's been keeping a low profile recently, no doubt huddling with his gargoyles in the PMO, feverishly planning his next move, and who he will be tomorrow.

Mr Nice or Mr Ugly.

But then who can blame him eh? Because by now he must be desperate.

The Terror Laws and the Madness of Stephen Harper

When I saw Stephen Harper delivering his deranged speech on terrorism at a campaign-style event in a Toronto suburb yesterday, at first I almost felt sorry for him.

Because that's not the face of a well man. That's the face of desperate leader cracking up before our eyes.

But my sympathy didn't last long. Because this is INSANITY.

The Day Stephen Harper Went Off the Deep End

I always knew he was dangerous. And that madness ran in his family.

I knew the first Harper to arrive in Canada had to removed from office for "violent and oppressive measures vindictive beyond all reason."

I knew one of his grandfathers committed suicide, and that he was prone to violent rages, and frightening bouts of depression.

But today Stephen Harper finally went over the deep end.

Stephen Harper's Disastrous Return to Parliament

As I'm sure you know, Stephen Harper has been under a lot of stress recently.

The economy is tanking, he blew the surplus before he had one, only the dumb and the crazy believe that he is still a Great Economist Leader.

And that's driving him CRAAAAAAZY.

So when the time came for him to return to Parliament yesterday, his faithful fanatics in the PMO prepared this little Twitter video to cheer him up.

But sadly for him, and them, his day couldn't have been more DISASTROUS.

Stephen Harper and the Beat of the Fascist Drum

He couldn't have had a better excuse to miss the return of Parliament, and dodge all those questions about his catastrophic economic record.

For there he was at the funeral of a dead Mountie.

Looking suitable sorrowful, and posing as a Great Crime Busting Leader.

Which like everything he did today was choreographed to the max.

And accompanied by the distant beat of a fascist drum.

How Does Stephen Harper Get Away With It?

One of the questions I get asked the most is how after damaging Canada so much does Stephen Harper get away with it?

And I have to tell them I have no idea. I'm not a psychiatrist, I can't explain madness.

Or how he could fool so many for so long.

But with Harper creeping up in the polls it's a question I ask myself a lot. So I'm glad to see that Bob Hepburn is also wondering the same thing.

How does Stephen Harper get away with it after the way he has behaved?

Stephen Harper's Ghastly Image and the Divided Left

Well as we all know, Stephen Harper has been going to extraordinary lengths to put a fresh face on his government, and a lot of lipstick on HIMSELF.

But of course, he has no choice. He has to tart himself up.

He's been around for too long. Canadians know him too well.

And as Tim Harper points out, the desire for change is his greatest threat.

The Horror of Harperland and the Arrival of Baby Freedom

Gawd. I was planning to go through all the posts I wrote this year, and write something about the deathly year of 2014.

So I could warn Baby 2015 what to expect, when he or she comes roaring through the door, with hope in its eyes. Into this dark Harperland, where hope goes to die.

But unfortunately although I thought I had written about 400 posts, which would have been hard enough to even skim through. I actually wrote more than 600.

So I almost immediately gave up.

Stephen Harper and the Movement That Could Destroy Him

Well he hasn't been seen in public for several days, since his scary year-end TV interview,  where not even four coats of pancake make-up could conceal the crazed look in his eyes.

Especially when he was asked about his terrifying ordeal in that closet.

Since then we've only seen him on that Paul Calandra video, playing Big Daddy, the new/nouveau kinder gentler leader of Harperland...

Still trying to make people believed he's changed.

And that he isn't lunging for another majority, like a trout goes after a fly, or a piranha goes after a human leg, because he wants to cling to power.

But only because Canada needs HIM, to change it beyond recognition.

Stephen Harper's Horribly Tacky and Disturbing Christmas Message

Well I knew that Stephen Harper's Christmas Message was up against some tough competition.

And I knew that he would do his best to try to look as non threatening and non-partisan as the Queen, in his new role as Great Kinder Gentler Leader, the benevolent  ruler of Canada.

But unfortunately for him, he just couldn't pull it off. It wasn't even close. The Queen's show was at least classy, and suitably christmassy.

While Harper's Christmas Message was horribly tacky, profoundly pathetic, and deeply disturbing.

Stephen Harper's Most Sad and Disappointing Christmas

Well it finally snowed where I live, as if to remind me that I'm still living in Canada, even in the ghastly darkness of Harperland.

The deathly place where the frozen bodies of the hopeless are stacked up like cord wood, or those kayaks.

But it's also beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

And although I can't remember a grimmer holiday season, with the world never looking more depressing and dangerous, and all the horrible stories in the news.

At least I'm comforted by the warm thought that this must be Stephen Harper's worst Christmas EVER !!!!

Harper's War and the Delusions of Salvation

It was a balmy 17 degrees, and my little corner of Canada looked very much like it always does at this time of the year.

But the flags flying at half mast to honour our two murdered soldiers reminded me that this is no ordinary fall.

We're at the beginning of Harper's War, we've just suffered our first casualties, Great Strong Leader wants us to believe that we have been attacked by the Caliphate hordes, instead of by two mental patients.

And that only he can save us...

Stephen Harper the Big Lie and the Merchant of Venom

It's hard to tell these days whether Stephen Harper is lying because he's desperate, or because he's lost his moral compass.

Or on a day like yesterday, because he's simply delusional.

He says he doesn't want to sound paranoid, but Prime Minister Stephen Harper is concerned his own federal bureaucracy is trying to bring back the long gun registry "through the back door."

"I don't want to feed paranoia, but as prime minister I can tell you I share the frustrations of our caucus members," said Harper, before alluding to "bureaucratic initiatives that we think are effectively trying to put the long gun registry back in through the back door." "This is not something we can tolerate."

Stephen Harper and the Murderous Con War on Drugs

As you know, I can't criticize and denounce enough what Stephen Harper and his foul Con regime are doing to this country.

Just like I can't praise our Supreme Court enough for standing up to those beastly bullies, and defending our Canadian values.

And today I get to do both at the same time. By pointing out that if the court hadn't stopped the Cons three years ago from closing down Vancouver's Insite Clinic.

Sixteen people could have died yesterday.

Harper's War and the Song of the Chicken Media

Well it's the Thanksgiving Day weekend in Harperland, and we all have so many reasons to give thanks.

Especially Great Leader.

He finally got some good job numbers.

As short-lived and as dubious as they may be.

"As a stand-alone report, this is no doubt highly impressive, but given the rising turmoil in the rest of the world, not to mention growing questions over the reliability of the jobs data, these results may not have much lasting impact," BMO economist Doug Porter said in a note to clients.

And his war numbers are so good, the MSM is singing his praises, and suggesting that while he may lose the war, he WILL win the next election.

Stephen Harper's Insane and Deeply Disturbing Comeback Plan

In my last post I told you how Stephen Harper's obsession with destroying Justin Trudeau is slowly driving him over the deep end.

Making him believe that only by destroying Justin can he make himself popular again.

But he does have a Plan B.

And as Michael Harris reports, it's just as CRAZY.
