As we all know Andrew Scheer likes to pose as a nice guy with a glued on smile, who is always inviting Canadians to hear what he calls his "positive message."
But let nobody be fooled, even some of his own Cons admiringly call him Andrew Smear.
Some of his opponents claim that he gets a perverted kick out of smearing his opponents.
And here he goes again.
During the dark years of the Con regime, the Canada Revenue Agency was accused of acting as Stephen Harper's secret weapon.
A weapon he used to harass and intimidate his enemies, from environmental groups to a group of birdwatchers who had dared criticize two of his ministers.
The Cons needless to say did nothing to shed light on the situation, before they were toppled.
So now I can't help but wonder if the CRA is once again playing dirty political games.
During the dark days of Stephen Harper's monstrous rule, the activist group Shit Harper Did (SHD) was one of the liveliest members of The Great Canadian Resistance.
It mocked Harper, it produced all kinds of videos, some funny some serious. And it joined with others in the successful campaign to get more young Canadians to vote.
So what happened to it not long before the last election couldn't be more disturbing.
As we all know Stephen Harper used the Canada Revenue Agency for his own foul purposes.
To try to intimidate his enemies, and harass environmentalists, and even humble birdwatchers.
But although Harper has left the building, it seems the CRA is still haunted by his foul legacy.
The Panama Papers' scandal has revealed a steaming mountain or pyramid of corruption.
Where the super rich live high off the hog, while countries deprived of tax dollars grow more and more miserable.
So I'm glad to see that the Liberal government is planning to step up efforts to go after our own tax cheats.
It's the burning question that remains to be answered about Stephen Harper 's monstrous years in power. The one that could make him Canada's Richard Nixon. The one that could send him to prison.
Did he or did he not order or pressure the Canada Revenue Agency to go after his political opponents, and audit and harass one left-wing charity after the other?
And because it's the kind of question that could shatter the confidence citizens should have in their government, I believe it demands an answer.
So I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who wants the Trudeau government to set up a Commission of Inquiry.
We know the Canada Revenue Agency was given extra money by Stephen Harper to go after the political activities of registered charities.
We know that the agency seems to be targeting groups that have dared to criticize government policies.
But not right-wing organizations that support the Harper regime.
But is the CRA now helping to spread Con propaganda?
Last night I told you how more and more decent Canadians are joining together to denounce the monstrous Memorial to the Victims of Communism.
The ghastly monument Stephen Harper is building to himself.
Just to pander to the ethnic vote, and stick another knife into the Supreme Court.
Well today it seems that the builders of that monstrosity may be getting some help from the Canada Revenue Agency.
As probably you know, the Con regime has given the Canada Revenue Agency more money to go after its enemies.
While depriving it of the resources and the inspectors to go after tax evaders.
Well now it turns out there may be method to that madness.
For it seems that when it comes to tax evasion, the Cons are part of the problem.
