David Akin And the Naked Bias Of The Con Media

I have never had much respect for David Akin, Global News' Chief political correspondent.

Not since he worked at Sun TV News, where Ezra Levant also worked, and first looked like a Con desperately seeking a Senate seat.

But recently his Con bias has escalated out of control, to a point that two weeks ago he actually had the nerve to tell Justin Trudeau that he should resign.

David Akin and the Ugliness of the Con Media

David Akin has always been one of the shabbiest members of our grotesque Con media.

Once he used to inhale Ezra Levant's farts at Sun TV News, until the farts caught fire, and it went down in flames.

But it seems old habits die hard, and now he spends his days looking for any excuse to attack Justin Trudeau.

And I mean ANY excuse.

The Incredible Gall of Postmedia's Paul Godfrey

I knew that the Postmedia boss Paul Godfrey is absolutely desperate, as his sinking media empire takes on more water, or debt, with every passing hour.

But who knew that after turning Postmedia into a branch of the Con propaganda machine, that attacks Justin Trudeau and his Liberals every single day of the year.

Godfrey would have the gall to ask the government to give him a tax break.

The Postmedia Cons: We Don't Get No Respect Waaaaah !!!!

The other day I suggested that Postmedia reporters must be in some kind of contest to see who can attack Justin Trudeau the most.

To please their boss Paul Godfrey, and try to keep their jobs.

But don't let them know that you think they're biased.

Or they'll accuse you of showing them no respect.

The Cons and the Postmedia Conspiracy

Ever since Paul Godfrey ordered his major Postmedia papers to run an ad on their front pages attacking the Liberals, there has been no doubt whatsoever which side that media conglomerate is on.

And although the move was widely denounced, it seems that Godfrey no intention of backing down, and is even more determined to destroy Justin Trudeau.

For the anti-Trudeau chorus from his hapless minions is becoming almost deafening.

As Michelle Rempel reminded me yesterday.

Justin Trudeau and the Grim Hypocrisy of the MSM

As I've mentioned before, ever since the good Prince Justin toppled the evil King Harper, I've feel like I'm living in some kind of fairy tale.

A really nice one.

Trudeau is wowing people in this country and all over the world, for some of the princely moves he's been making...

As well as for his sunny personality, and his coolness.

And of course for having crushed and humiliated the depraved tyrant Stephen Harper, and liberated Canada from his nightmare rule.

So I wasn't surprised to see that when he visited a government building in Ottawa, civil servants gave him a rock star reception.

Rick Mercer on the Disgraceful Failure of the MSM

I've wrote quite a few posts about the shameless role most of the MSM and their porky bosses played in the election campaign.

How they betrayed Canadians.

How they even censored Andrew Coyne.

How almost all of them endorsed the Cons.

So now I think I'll just let Rick Mercer sum up their disgrace...

The Battle to Liberate Canada and the Betrayal of the MSM

It's going to be a wet, grey, fall weekend, but I don't care because Stephen Harper and his foul Con regime have been defeated, and it feels like springtime in Canada.

And nothing could bring me down.

Although I must admit this tweet by Andrew Coyne, which links to a story by Michael Harris about the sanitizing of Stephen Harper's foul legacy, does bother me.

Because the suggestion that Harris shouldn't be writing about Harper anymore is outrageous.

And it only remind me of the shameful way the MSM betrayed Canadians.

Stephen Harper and Benjamin Netanyahu's Phony Phone Call

Lordy. If I didn't know Stephen Harper and Benjamin Netanyahu so well I'd swear their legendary love affair is heading for the International Divorce Court.

Instead of the International Criminal Court.

At least judging by what Harper says he told Netanyahu on the phone today.

Stephen Harper and the Big Oil Nightmare

I have no idea what Stephen Harper must have thought when he saw the oily flames of hell engulf the little town of Lac-Mégantic.

But I'm sure it wasn't pretty eh?

For while on the one hand it might have crossed his mind that the tragedy could help sell his pipeline projects.

On the other hand he must also realize that those hellish images can only make more Canadians understand to what kind of Big Oil nightmare he would condemn us.

Remembering the Legacy of Hugo Chavez

I see that Hugo Chavez has lost his long battle with cancer.

Venezuela’s government announced the death of President Hugo Chavez on Tuesday, ending 14 years of charismatic rule by the firebrand socialist but leaving his party firmly in control of the nation.

Vice President Nicolas Maduro’s voice broke several times and tears ran down his face as he appeared on national television to announce that Chavez died at 4:25 p.m. local time (3:55 p.m EST;1755 GMT) “after battling tough with an illness over nearly two years.”

And I for one will miss him, for he was quite a character, and quite a leader.

Stephen Harper's Insane Caucus Photo-Op

OMG. I knew it wouldn't last. Just the other day he was tweeting his horn, playing with his chinchilla, pretending to be Mr Nice Guy Leader.

Today he was back to his usual self, Mr Nasty Crazy Leader, and playing with the Con caucus.

The great man thus entered the room to a standing ovation, the chanting of his surname and rhythmic clapping. Apparently we are to assume the government caucus reacts this way whenever the Prime Minister arrives to speak to them.

Soaking up the sweaty adulation of his hapless stooges, like a Third World dictator. Posing for the media, puffing out his flabby tits, and declaring that what Canadians need is a new Great War on Crime.

When the Cons Try to Cover Up Murder

His name was Maj. Paeta Hess-von Kruedener.

He was a Canadian peacekeeper who was killed murdered by the Israeli military in 2006.

Now the Canadian military, and the Harper government, are trying to cover-up how he died.

The Defence Department has quietly removed from the Internet a report into the killing of a Canadian military officer by Israeli forces, a move the soldier’s widow says is linked to the Conservative government’s reluctance to criticize Israel for any wrongdoing.

Why John Baird Should Be Fired

Three days ago he was the mouth that roared. Lecturing U.N. delegates like some crazed televangelist, as if they were children.

Blasting the Palestinians for daring to ask for  humble observer status, claiming it was an "impediment to peace."

But today after Israel delivered what the gentle Ban-Ki-moon described as an "almost fatal blow" to the peace process, John Baird was strangely subdued.

The Slow Degradation of Stephen Harper

I think this cartoon by the Star's Theo Moudakis neatly sums up what Stephen Harper's Con regime is doing to our image abroad.

Making us look small, cheap, shabby.  And like Britain's royal loyal corgis.

For the Cons can try to downplay the embassy move, call it no big deal, just a way to save money. But as I explained the other night, it's actually a huge deal. For the Cons in Britain.

Stephen Harper and the Red Line

When it finally hit me why Stephen Harper suddenly cut ties with Iran, I felt slightly dizzy.

So great was my horror.

For it seems obvious to me that  it had little or nothing to do with security, and everything to do with an orchestrated campaign by Benjamin Netanyahu to try to blackmail Obama when he is most vulnerable.

And force him to set a so-called "red line" for joining the Israelis in an attack on Iran.

The Egyptian Revolution and the Puppet Harper

If by any chance anyone needed yet another really good reason to get rid of Stephen Harper and his ugly Cons, all they have to do is this:

(1) Watch this clip of some people in Tahrir square getting the news the tyrant had fallen. And listen to the wonderful sounds of freedom.

(2) Read Barack Obama's inspiring words on the Egyptian Revolution.

The word Tahrir means liberation. It is a word that speaks to that something in our souls that cries out for freedom. And forevermore it will remind us of the Egyptian people — of what they did, of the things that they stood for, and how they changed their country, and in doing so changed the world.

(3) Read Stephen Harper's pathetic statement.

"Canada respects President Mubarak's decision to step down in order to promote peace and stability in the country. The future of Egypt is for Egyptians to decide.

"Canada wants to see free and fair elections; we want to see the rule of law and stability; we want to see respect for human rights, including the rights of minorities, including religious minorities; we want to see the transition to a democratic Egypt.

Lecturing the Egyptians like they were children, while looking like he had just swallowed a glass of battery acid.

Or was about to scream "Hosni I miss you." Or "Israel I'm sorry."

(4) Read Jeffrey Simpson for an analysis of Harper's bizarre behaviour.

The Egyptian revolution, a mass people’s movement, represents something democrats everywhere should celebrate.

It’s too bad, therefore, that the Harper government, once again seeing the Middle East through the exclusive prism of Israel’s interest, remained throughout so hesitant, cautious and, frankly, on the wrong side of history in commenting on Egyptian developments.

And then ask how did this miserable little man, this blind ideologue, this painted puppet, ever become Prime Minister of Canada? How could he make a big, strong, young country look so old, and small, and weak? And will he ever stop humiliating us in the eyes of the world?

The good news? The amazing people of Egypt have shown us the way to victory. Shown us that when the people UNITE nothing can stop them.

And hopefully shamed us into not taking democracy for granted.

Why do we toss away the democratic rights Egyptians were willing to die for? Why, in a country with free and fair elections, do 40 per cent of us not bother to vote?

What would freedom-starved young Egyptians say to their Canadian counterparts who don’t think elections matter, don’t know enough to cast an informed ballot and don’t care who governs the country?

Because we really need a CANADIAN Revolution.

Here's to my brothers and sisters in Egypt. Don't listen to Harper, nobody else does.

We know freedom is the most excellent adventure.

Not something to be feared.

Down with President Puppet...

Stephen Harper and the Yankee Monster Man

He's always been an Amerikan. He's always hated Canada. He called our country a second rate welfare state. He spent fourteen years trying to destroy our medicare system.

He's raped our precious Canadian values, shamed us in the eyes of the world, and now he's going after our history.

In 1666, Jean Talon, the Intendent of New France, conducted Canada's first census. Enumerators spread out through communities such as Montreal, Quebec City and Trois-Rivieres.

It was a landmark moment, not just in Canadian history, but in the history of census-taking itself, the first modern census in the western world.

It was something to be proud about. A Canadian success story. Statistics Canada is respected and admired by people all over the world.

Now Stephen Harper and his evil Cons are trying to destroy it because these alien ideologues think and act like tea baggers.

It was easy to laugh when the far-right Tea Party Movement announced its boycott of the U.S. Census. It's something else again when the Canadian government itself promulgates a culture of paranoia, by insinuating that the long-form census is some kind of grotesque invasion of personal privacy, or Liberal plot.

Even if their crazed ideology would bury us in the darkness of ignorance.

Even if it would turn us from census leaders.

Into census IDIOTS...

But then why is anyone surprised ?

Susan Crean remembered encountering a young, blue-eyed politico at a constitutional conference in Calgary in 1992. When the man learned that she had co-authored a certain book about American domination of Canadian and Quebec politicians, the man responded: "You should not have been allowed to write that book."

Harper was clearly still angry about having had to read it at university. In his view, I took it, the book was treasonous. I was so shaken by his words, and his open hostility, that I immediately left the dining room."

Because for Stephen Harper the desire to turn us into Amerika isn't just intellectual, it's VISCERAL. And he's always been a loutish bully and a would be dictator.

Anyone even vaguely familiar with the vast literature of management studies will recognize the prime ministerial style: bossy, bullying, cold -- or, in academic jargon, "exploitative-authoritative."

This kind of leader, say the experts, "has low concern for people and uses threats and other fear-based methods to achieve conformity. Communication is almost entirely downward ..."

So what can we do about it ? Unite, organize, put our country before our parties, and drive that political thug and his AmeriCons from power before it's too late. Period.

And of course, help spread the message: Stephen Harper and his tea baggers want to drown us in ignorance, destroy our history, turn our country into a brutish jungle, and Canadians into idiots.

But we won't let him eh?

Because we're young not stoopid. Our history will save us.

If we frame the narrative as Canadians versus tea baggers we can't lose.

And we know a monster when we see one...

The Con Thugs and the Underground Railroad

When I was a small boy living in a Scottish village, long before I knew I'd be coming to Canada, I read about the Underground Railroad.

About the Canadians who helped black Americans escape from the horror of slavery. People like Dr. Alexander Milton Ross. The hero they called the Bird Man.

And it thrilled every bone in my young body. Because even back then I knew that helping people to be free was one of the best things you could ever do.

So imagine how proud I was to find myself a Canadian. Not just living in a country with real cowboys and indians !!!! But living in the land of the Underground Railroad. Welcome to the Land of Freedom.

And then try to imagine how disgusted I am to see a Canadian government that not only deports refugees back to some of the most dangerous countries in the world. But won't even grant safe refuge to it's OWN citizens.

Like Omar Khadr and Abousfian Abdelrazik.

In his decision, Federal Court Judge Russell Zinn wrote that Abdelrazik is a "prisoner in a foreign land" and "as much a victim of international terrorism as the innocent persons whose lives have been taken by recent barbaric acts of terrorists."

A gang of thuggish ReformCons who have to be ordered by the courts to respect the human rights of Canadians. And still fight these court decisions tooth and claw like the filthy racists did in the American South.

Speaking for the government, Justice Minister Rob Nicholson said government lawyers would need time to review the 107-page decision before deciding its course of action.

As if Abdelrazik hasn't waited long enough. As if Omar hadn't waited FOREVER.

It's so horrible and so disappointing.

You know I'm still proud to be a Canadian. Still proud to live in the country of the heroes of the Underground Railroad....the land of medicare and gay marriage. Still pulling for the indians to beat the cowboys.

But Stephen Harper and his Con thugs stole my beautiful Land of Freedom.

And I want it BACK....

What Harper Didn't Tell us About the Border

I see that Stephen Harper is getting a lot of brownie points for trying to persuade Americans we're not a nest of dangerous terrorists.

Because we take security SERIOUSLY.

"I just want to make this clear to our American friends ... threats to the United States are threats to Canada," Harper said at a joint press conference with President Barack Obama.

"There is no such thing as a threat to the national security of the United States, which does not represent a direct threat to this country."

When in fact Great Neocon , RepubliCon ,Obama Friend Leader deserves NO brownie points...for addressing the American people .... who probably weren't even watching.

Instead of the Pentagon.

Military officials believe Canadian immigration policies are creating a "favorable" environment for what the U.S. government deems to be potential terrorists seeking entry into the United States from the north, according to an internal briefing crafted by a U.S. Northern Command joint task force.

Officials at the Joint Task Force-North believe a “large population” of so-called special-interest aliens, or SIAs, in Eastern Canada presents the “greatest potential for foreign terrorists' access to the homeland,” according to a Jan. 15 briefing available on the organization's Web site until recently.

Uh oh. Who is Obama to believe...Stephen Harper or his generals?

And who are all these "special interest aliens." Do they come from outer space or just Pakistan? And if as Great Leader says no threat to the United States is not a threat to Canada, are we in GREAT danger eh?

And if so how come we've never heard of these aliens? Why aren't they being ARRESTED ??? !!!!!! Is it safe to leave our homes?

And who the fuck is in charge of this dossier?

A spokeswoman for the Canadian Embassy in Washington referred a reporter's request for comment on JTF-North's assessments to the defense ministry in Ottawa. A spokeswoman there initially took questions from InsideDefense.com yesterday but later referred the issue to Public Safety Canada, a federal agency comparable to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

OMG. Not HIM...

Not Tubby Van Loan. Last seen carrying on like a fire hydrant in heat in the House of Commons. Accusing the opposition of being Taliban supporters.

So much for taking security SERIOUSLY.

And who's the Con Monkey responsible for keeping trade flowing smoothly?

OMG. Not HER

So much for the open border.

Although you know I still can't WAIT to see what Peter Van Loan has to tell us ...or the Pentagon.

Who knew living in Con Canada could be so dangerous?

Over to you Tubby...
