Andrew Scheer, Hamish Marshall, and the Con Kochtopus

When I heard about that secret meeting between Andrew Scheer, his ex-Rebel campaign director Hamish Marshall, and those Big Oil billionaires, I just knew it was part of a wider conspiracy.

For one of the speakers at that meeting was once a big wheel in the Koch brothers organization, whose tentacles extend in so many directions some call it The Kochtopus.

And sure enough I was right.

Andrew Scheer and the Koch Brothers' Connection

When Andrew Scheer had that secret meeting with some Big Oil bosses at a fancy hotel just outside Calgary the other day, he must have been praying up a storm that nobody would ever find out about it.

Never find out what they talked about, never find out who was there.

But sadly for him, the Globe exposed the meeting, as nothing less than a sinister conclave, or war council, on how to best destroy Justin Trudeau and his Liberals.

So now Scheer has a big problem.

Andrew Scheer and the Oily Conspiracy (Continued)

In one of my last posts I looked at how Andrew Scheer and Big Oil were secretly working together to try to defeat Justin Trudeau.

In what can only be described as a sinister oily conspiracy.

And I predicted that Scheer and his Cons would pay a heavy political price for that perfidious behaviour.

And sure enough that's already happening.

Andrew Scheer and the Big Oil Conspiracy

I always knew that there were dark forces working to make Andrew Scheer Prime Minister, and take this country to a very bad place.

But now we know it's a sinister conspiracy.

And it couldn't be more evil or more deeply disturbing.

Michelle Rempel and the Madness of Harperland

It could only happen in Alberta, or in the battered petro-state that Stephen Harper bequeathed this country formerly known as Harperland.

For on the day that our parliament endorsed the Paris Climate Change Agreement.

The House of Commons voted 207 to 81 to endorse the Paris agreement on climate change tonight, after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau outlined a national carbon price plan Monday that will begin in 2018.

And the Cons to their eternal shame voted against it.

All I could hear was the buzzing sound of Michelle Rempel making an absolute fool of herself. Again.

Why Is Big Oil Supporting Ezra Levant's Bigot Site?

I've always been curious about who exactly funds Ezra Levant's grotesque hate mongering site The Rebel.

Because as you know the grubby Rebel Commander spends at least half his time begging for money.

And since I've always had trouble believing that his depraved but tiny core readership could support Levant, his gang of bigots, and their increasingly extravagant lifestyle.

Or that the site's cheap ads or cheap swag could possibly pay the bills.

Like the blogger Balbulican at Dr Dawg's blog, I too wondered who is paying for this garbage?

Why is Rex Murphy Trying to Inflame Alberta Separatists?

As I pointed out recently, Big Oil's sinking fortunes are driving its faithful hooker Rex Murphy over the deep end.

He has been using his bully pulpits on The National and in the National Post to blame everybody but Stephen Harper for the dire situation in Alberta.

But even by his low standards this deranged rant is absolutely outrageous.

Michael Harris On the Con Smearing of Justin Trudeau

I was glad to see Justin Trudeau have the courage and the decency to visit Alberta, a province where so many Cons hate him with an intensity that borders on insanity.

I was happy to see him provide Rachel Notley with some badly needed support, and reassure the many suffering people in that stricken province, and the devastated oil industry, that help is on the way.

“I’m going to continually highlight that we’re all in this together as Canadians – that Alberta contributed tremendously to Canada’s growth over the past decade. And now that we’re facing challenging times here in Alberta, Canada will be there for them,” Mr. Trudeau told reporters.

So imagine how I felt to see the Con media in that province attack Trudeau like a pack of rabid zombies.

The Con Clown Rex Murphy's Ghastly Anti-Trudeau Campaign

Once upon a time I used to fly though the air like Peter Pan in search of the remote control, whenever the ghastly Rex Murphy popped up on my big TV.

In a desperate attempt to change the channel, before his oily fumes started pouring out of every orifice, and before that scary bulging eye started following me around the room.

But now I just sit there staring numbly at the screen and wondering: why is that Con teabagger on the CBC? Is this Canada or Trumpville?

And this is just the latest reason why I think he should be fired.

The Wonderful Humiliation of the Ghastly Ezra Levant

Gosh. It's not as if Ezra Levant hasn't been humiliated enough recently.

His recent trip to Paris to try to convince the French to hate Muslims as much as him and his crazies do was a complete bust.

This trip has been depressing, because no one here is angry. They certainly aren't talking about -- God forbid -- letting people arm themselves. It's time for irrational hatred. It's time for vehement patriotism. This city needs a slap in the face.

And no doubt a devastating blow to the budget of his tacky shoe-string operation...

The HarperPAC, Big Money, and the Americanization of Canada

As you may have heard, a group of Harper supporters have created a political action committee to attack the progressive parties.

Supporters of Stephen Harper have formed a political-advertising unit separate from the Conservative Party that will run attack ads, targeting Facebook, Google and Twitter users, to help the Tory re-election effort as a federal ballot approaches.

HarperPAC has already produced a spot alleging Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau is unqualified to be prime minister and its next project is an ad, aimed at British Columbia voters, that will warn against electing a federal NDP government.

And whatever those Cons might say, it is the final Americanization of our political system.

Stephen Harper Gets Three Slaps in the Face From his Own Supporters

As you know I've started portraying Stephen Harper not only as a cowardly puppet, and the most monstrous leader this country has ever known.

As well as a hopeless incompetent, and the turkey king of Canada.

But also as a leader so long past due, the flesh is falling off him and his rotting government.

And as more evidence of that, I have three examples that demonstrate that even some of his own natural born supporters think he's so far gone.

That they are giving him one slap in the face after the other.

The Monstrous Harper Cons and their New Albertastan

Holy flying monkey. What a difference a day makes. Up until yesterday Alberta was the Con's favourite province, their shiny Oily Oz.

But then came Rachel Notley as the new Dorothy, and painted it orange.

And now it's their despised Albertastan.

The Totally Unbelievable Transformation of Stephen Harper

Even by the standards of the monstrous Stephen Harper, whose many images reflect the many warring voices in his head, it's an amazing transformation.

Or mutation.

For nine years he was the Oily Messiah, the maniacal missionary who once told an audience in Britain that developing the oil sands was akin to building the Great Wall of China or the Pyramids.

The Father of Albertonia, and of course, Big Oil's favourite pimp...

Stephen Harper's Crazy Carbon Tax problem

As I've been warning recently, Stephen Harper's mental state is clearly growing more unstable by the day.

The exhaustion of all those foreign photo-ops, combined with the shock of seeing his beloved Albertonia torpedoed by low oil prices, and his budget surplus going up in flames, has driven him to the brink.

And there is no better example of that than his wildly oscillating position on a carbon tax.

Just ten days ago he called one "crazy." Or CRAAAAAAAZY.

But in the CBC interview the other night, while being stroked with a feather by Peter Mansbridge, he all but called it a good idea.

Stephen Harper and the Oily Road to Disaster

He was warned, but Stephen Harper wouldn't listen. Warned that he should not put so many economic eggs in one oily basket.

He was warned that the future would be green, or there would be no future. So it made no sense to turn us into a tarry petro state, and even less sense to torch the planet.

But he was a climate change denier and an oil pimp, so he muzzled his critics, and pressed on ahead in the name of Greater Alberta.

And now the oily basket is bouncing on the sidewalk, and the oily messiah just got dinged by reality.

The Battle for Burnaby Mountain and Kinder Morgan's Day of Defeat

They have gathered on Burnaby Mountain to try to prevent the giant energy company Kinder Morgan from drilling a hole through its heart.

Dozens of young and old activists have been arrested.

But today they won a big court victory, and Kinder Morgan got a big slap in the face.

Stephen Harper and the Day of the Con Planet Burners

It happened during Question Period in the middle of the debate about whether Canada should go to war.

So most did not notice and it will soon be forgotten.

The moment when Tom Mulcair quoted Stephen Harper's infamous 2002 statement on Kyoto:

“Kyoto is essentially a socialist scheme to suck money out of wealth-producing nations."

And the Cons rose to their feet clapping and cheering and laughing loudly.

On the same day that this scathing report was released.

Stephen Harper and the Ill wind from Alberta

Well nobody at this beach on the Toronto Island today was complaining about an ill wind from the West.

Because it was warm and wild, and summer like life is so short and precious.

However, had they been in Calgary this weekend, they would have encountered another kind of wind.

Hot, foul, and fetid, whistling out of Stephen Harper's main orifice, and aimed squarely at Justin Trudeau.

Stephen Harper and the Great Pipeline Gambit

Well it's the talk of the town. The pundits are perplexed. Shock and confusion reigns.

Everybody is trying to figure out why Stephen Harper is disowning his tarry baby.

After working so hard to conceive it.

And in some parts of the country paranoia runs rampant.
