Stephen Harper and the Con Law of the Jungle

At a time when half of his PMO has been subpoenaed to testify at the Mike Duffy trial, and he might have to go to court to argue why he should not join them.

At a time when his former parliamentary secretary Dean del Mastro is waiting to be sentenced for electoral fraud.

At a time when he is trying to beat the drums of fascism as hard as he can.

It follows that Stephen Harper would try to prove that he's tough on criminals.

Stephen Harper and the Fake War on Sexual Offenders

From the moment Stephen Harper and his Con zombies came to power they have been  loudly proclaiming, or moaning and wailing, that only they can protect Canadian children.

And that anybody who doesn't agree with them must be a sexual predator.

But like so many other things the Con regime does, it is all posturing.

They really are zombies.

And their dangerous incompetence knows no limits.

Dean Del Mastro and the Barbarity of the Cons

Well I'm sure it's just a coincidence that on the day Dean Del Mastro appeared in court for his sentencing hearing.

And demanded a mistrial.

Former MP Dean Del Mastro is asking the Ontario Court of Justice to dismiss his Oct. 31 guilty verdicts related to overspending in the 2008 federal election campaign and declare a mistrial.

After having told the judge that her guilty verdict was just a matter of opinion:

The Cons would choose this day to let it be known that they're all for harsh sentences.

Tina Fontaine and the Utter Bestiality of Stephen Harper

They held a funeral service for Tina Fontaine yesterday and how sad it was was.

"Our sweet girl is now reunited with her daddy and the angels," long-time family friend Sandra Longford said during the eulogy. Longford went on to sing Never Alone, the same song she sang at Tina's father's funeral just four years earlier.

And my sorrow over the death of yet another young aboriginal woman, is only matched by my hatred for her bestial killer, and my contempt for Stephen Harper.

"It's very clear that there has been very fulsome study of this particular … of these particular things. They're not all one phenomenon," said Harper. "We should not view this as a sociological phenomenon. We should view it as crime."

The bestial leader who would show us yet again why he is unfit to be a Canadian Prime Minister.

Stephen Harper and the Myths that Will Destroy Him

As I said in my last post, I don't think Stephen Harper is going to get very far accusing Justin Trudeau  of being an elitist. When he is the worst kind of anti-democratic elitist himself.

But he will continue to claim that he is a Great Economist Leader who saved us from the depth of the last recession.

And that he is a Great Crime Busting Leader who will save us from the criminals, who are EVERYWHERE.

But sadly for Harper none of those claims will help him either.

Sammy Yatim and the Fatal Legacy of Stephen Harper

When I went by Dundas Square this evening after work, a march had already departed heading for the place where Sammy Yatim was killed.

All that was left was a chalk memorial that the rain will soon wash away.

But I will not easily forget what happened to that troubled teenager. Not only because it strikes at the very heart of the kind of country I want to live in.

But also because I know what it's like to be confronted by a disturbed man with a knife. I know that patience saves lives.

And what bothers me most of all is that none was shown to Sammy....

The Mad Cruelty of Stephen Harper

It has been said of Stephen Harper, by those who know him well, that he is a man incapable of feeling the pain of others.

A man with no capacity for empathy, a man devoid of human warmth. In short, a clinical psychopath.

So you can imagine how I felt today when I saw him sitting behind the pictures of three dead children, squeezing out a tear, and going after the mentally ill.

The Con War on Canadian Children

Just the other day he was cuddling his chinchilla, and pretending to be Mr Nice Guy Leader.

Today he was back in all his fascist foulness playing Great Crime Busting Leader.

Justice Minister Rob Nicholson unveiled a plan Monday for 2013 that includes new legislation to toughen penalties for child sex offenses, create a Victims Bill of Rights and better protect the public from those found not criminally responsible due to a mental disorder.

Stephen Harper's Insane Caucus Photo-Op

OMG. I knew it wouldn't last. Just the other day he was tweeting his horn, playing with his chinchilla, pretending to be Mr Nice Guy Leader.

Today he was back to his usual self, Mr Nasty Crazy Leader, and playing with the Con caucus.

The great man thus entered the room to a standing ovation, the chanting of his surname and rhythmic clapping. Apparently we are to assume the government caucus reacts this way whenever the Prime Minister arrives to speak to them.

Soaking up the sweaty adulation of his hapless stooges, like a Third World dictator. Posing for the media, puffing out his flabby tits, and declaring that what Canadians need is a new Great War on Crime.

When Stephen Harper Plays a Cop

I've never watched the show Murdoch Mysteries and after reading this you can be sure I never will.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper has taken his law and order agenda to a new level by making an appearance in the police procedural TV series Murdoch Mysteries.

Because the thought of that deranged authoritarian playing a desk sergeant is enough to give me nightmares.

Although I suppose since the series takes place during the time of Jack the Ripper.

It could be worse...

But can you believe it eh? He wanted to be a hockey star, but he couldn't play team sports, so he pretended to write a book about it.

Now he wants to build more prisons for invisible criminals, so he's playing a police officer, and pretending to book people.

Oh. My. Orwell. How many multiple personalities does he have?

Who said he's a control freak?

Shaftesbury CEO Christina Jennings told the Globe and Mail the PM was committed to his part and gave a few notes to the show's writers.

"He was pointing out a couple of little bits of historical accuracy," said Jennings.

And will he do ANYTHING to try to win a majority?

Gawd. Is Canada a police state or what?

The Prime Minister plays a police officer.

Be very very AFRAID...

Arcade Fire and Harper's War on Young Canadians

On a day when I was depressed after reading how the Harper Cons ignored International Youth Day.

Because they're too busy waging war on Canada's young people with the consent of a lot of older Canadians.

Despite the fact that the youth crime rate is at a 10-year low, their generation has been stereotyped as a threat to public safety. The Prime Minister, with no significant resistance from the federal opposition leaders, the provincial premiers, the big-city mayors or the courts, has enacted law after law to lock up young offenders, punish drug dealers and break up street gangs.

Despite the fact that young Canadians have led global humanitarian campaigns, created thriving businesses, raised environmental awareness, won civic office and worked at the grassroots level to build stronger, more resilient communities, few of these achievements are recognized in Ottawa.

Despite the fact that they’ve adapted to an ever-changing global marketplace, relinquished any prospect of job security and learned to live in a 24/7 world, none of this seems to count in their favour.

And I know this to be true because I hear it all the time. The young people of today are no good. They're lazy, they're whiners, they're DANGEROUS.

So on a day when I'm shaking my head about that, who should arrive on my teeny island to cheer me up ?

Only one of the hottest bands in the world, Arcade Fire, from Montreal, Québec, Canada.

The band whose new album, Suburb, just knocked the homophobic, misogynistic prick Eminem's new album out of the number one spot on the Billboard chart.

My buddy and I didn't know they were going to perform...in our backyard. Duh. So we didn't have tickets. But it didn't matter. We were able to get close enough. We danced under a crescent moon with some friends ...and the old dog. And it was FABULOUS.

If you're not familiar with Arcade Fire, this clip from a recent concert at Madison Square Garden will give you an idea of how good they are.

It's a long one, but it's all good, it's directed by the brilliant Terry Gilliam.

And the last few minutes are AMAZING...

Yup. From Montreal, Québec, Canada. Young Canadians conquering the world. Making Canada look cool in the darkness of the Harper era.

In a country where so many people hate or fear them. Great eh?

Hey Harper. Bastard. Porker. Fascist. Here's what I have to say to you. You can wage war on us all you like. But we think you and your gross Cons are the WORST thing that ever happened to this country.

And young and old together, we will DEFEAT you...

Rahim Jaffer and the Con Wonderland

OK. I want to make some things absolutely clear Your Honour. I think Rahim Jaffer should have received at least six months for hypocrisy.

I also believe that Helena Guergis should have been arrested for banging on a security door at that airport in P.E.I. Because if me or the White Rabbit had done that we'd still be in jail being "interrogated" by CSIS.

And of course, I believe this judgement IS a travesty of justice.

But I have to admit I couldn't be more delighted. Because I didn't really want to see Rahim go to jail, and it's going to hurt the Cons BIG TIME.

As we all know even though the crime rate is going down, these law and order crazies been cranking up their Fear Machine to try to scare Canadians into voting for them.

Canadians lose faith in the criminal justice system when they feel that the punishment does not fit the crime.

And now they look like hypocrites or idiots. And the opposition should use the opportunity to take control of the crime issue. Because after all, who are these criminals anyway?

Let's see...they're greedy, they're predatory, they're selfish. They're hateful, they're bullies, they despise rules and regulations. It's all about THEM and to hell with society. Does that sound like Liberals or NDPers, or does that sound like Cons?

And of course all of the above is only going to make Great Ugly Leader's Afghan Torture and Rape Scandal look even more sinister. People will wonder what is he HIDING? Could he be a criminal too?

And golly why is he so afraid of the Auditor General?

The auditor general is taking a first look at the nearly $50 billion Conservative stimulus plan that already has the opposition screeching foul over how projects are chosen and the plan promoted to voters.

It would be as reckless for Harper to wait for Fraser's late fall audit as it would be to bring down a bad-news budget before the next election.

Answer: Because when the AG gets a good sniff of that corrupt Porky Action Plan, I have a feeling she'll call in the RCMP, and bust the Cons all the way to Alberta.

Stephen Harper as a Crime Fighter? Muahahahaha. Talk about Alice in Wonderland.

Which reminds me...if we can't get Rahim to play a Card and paint the roses green in a prison garden. Because let's face, it after this debacle his only option is the Marijuana Party.

Do you think we could get Helena Guergis to play Alice or Lady Gaga?

I didn't think so.*Sigh*

Oh well. Coming soon...my even BETTER version starring Jason Kenney.

Lady Hee Haw in Gayland.

Because you know what they say about Cons and criminals eh?

They can run but they can't HIDE...
