Fraud Alert: The Harper Cons are Caught Cheating Again

Well as I'm sure you know, the Harper regime contains more Con artists than you can count.

One moment they're lying like thieves, the next moment they're twisting the truth.

One moment Lord Harp is a Great Strong Leader, the next moment he's cowering in a closet.

But holy chicken this is embarrassing.

The Incredible Downfall of Dean Del Mastro

Uh oh. Beat a drum slowly. Or if you're in the Harper PMO beat a gong furiously.

The Deaner is DOWN !!!!

A judge has found Peterborough, Ont., MP Dean Del Mastro guilty of spending too much in the 2008 federal election and falsifying a document to cover it up. Del Mastro now faces the prospect of losing his seat in the House of Commons and possibly being sentenced to up to a year in jail and a $2,000 fine.

Stephen Harper and the Buying of the Next Election

It looked like a remake of the 1950s TV show Dialling for Dollars. Or one of those Christian TV programs where the lame are made to walk.

But it was only Stephen Harper strutting around a stage in a Jewish school in Julian Fantino's riding.

Announcing plans to buy the next election.

Harper's War and the Rise of ISIS

Back in my teenage days when I was studying martial arts and fighting a lot, I tattooed this famous Sun Tzu quote on the back of my right shoulder:

"Know your enemy and know yourself and you can fight a hundred battles without disaster."

Which I deeply regret now along with so many other things.

But with Canadian warplanes maybe only hours away from beginning to bomb the ISIS hordes.

It's probably a good time for all us to know the enemy.

Stephen Harper, Tom Mulcair, and the Terrorist Menace

Well I'm happy to see that Great Warrior Chicken Leader has apologized for his somewhat less than Churchillian behaviour during the recent one-man assault on Parliament Hill.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper told his hushed caucus Wednesday morning he felt remorse for surreptitiously ducking into a closet during last week's assault on Parliament Hill, CBC News has learned.

But I see he's STILL insisting on calling it a terrorist attack, to try to make it sound bigger than it was, justify his decision to hide in a closet AND bomb Iraq. Use it as an excuse to ram through cyber-snooping bills that would turn us into a police state

And of course use that definition to attack the opposition as weaklings and terrorist stooges.

So I was really glad to see Tom Mulcair stick a spear in that Con narrative.

Testing the Tolerance of Canadians

It was an interesting idea. Test the tolerance of Canadians at a bus stop in Hamilton, Ontario.

By having the guy on the left pose as an anti-Muslim bigot, and insult the guy on the guy on the right while the cameras rolled.

And although it was a little crude, and it did end bloodily, the results were encouraging...

Stephen Harper, Canada's Son, and the Forgotten Soldier

There couldn't have been a more impressive and moving tribute.

Thousands of people lining the streets of downtown Hamilton, to pay their final respects to Cpl. Nathan Cirillo.

There couldn't have been a more heartbreaking sight...

That little boy couldn't have been braver on such a sad day.

The media couldn't expend enough words praising "Canada's son."

They were complete strangers and close friends. They were office workers and decorated generals. Some came from other countries, others needed only to stand up from their panhandling roosts to salute the casket.

And then there was this...

Stephen Harper and the Monstrous Planet Burners

He would have us believe that terrorism is a greater threat than climate change. But with every day that passes the burning planet proves Stephen Harper wrong.

For imagine what might happen if a city of 20 million people runs out of water.

Stephen Harper and the Great War Election

Well at least now we know what will be Stephen Harper's main weapon in the next election campaign.

Until about a week ago it was going to be all about the economy.

But now he will mount his armoured closet.

And it will be all about WAR.

The Wonderful Day the Ford Nation Died

Well it was closer than I thought it would be, the bestial Fordzilla  put up a desperate struggle.

But at last he could hold on no longer.

And after four long nightmarish years the Ford Nation has finally been defeated.

Stephen Harper's Terror Story and the Lies the Media Told Us

You think you know the story. You've seen the pictures on TV a million times. Over and over again.

You've seen how the media have tried to explain what happened, and how they've framed the narrative, complete with more heroes than you can count.

You know what Stephen Harper wants you to believe, and why.

You've seen how many Canadians have reacted, with an explosion of grief and emotion...

You think you know the story, until it starts to unravel.

Harper's War and the Delusions of Salvation

It was a balmy 17 degrees, and my little corner of Canada looked very much like it always does at this time of the year.

But the flags flying at half mast to honour our two murdered soldiers reminded me that this is no ordinary fall.

We're at the beginning of Harper's War, we've just suffered our first casualties, Great Strong Leader wants us to believe that we have been attacked by the Caliphate hordes, instead of by two mental patients.

And that only he can save us...

Stephen Harper and the Great War on the Internet

Well he may have had some anxious moments, cowering in a broom closet, while his faithful cult members prepared to defend him with home made spears.

And a mentally ill gunman was being gunned down by the heroic Kevin Vickers, and...um... others.

And it certainly wasn't his finest hour.

But I see not so Great Warrior Leader did manage to salvage some advantage out of the situation by declaring war on the internet.

Stephen Harper's Sinister Plan to Suppress Our Freedoms

I knew Stephen Harper wouldn't waste any time exploiting the senseless tragedy on Parliament Hill.

I knew he'd strike when many people were still in shock, emotions were still raw, the MSM in Ottawa was still making it sound like it was Canada's 911.

And he could still scare some Canadians into believing that our country, and its values, were under attack.

And that only he can save us...

The Day Stephen Harper Was Forced to Hide in a Closet

It was a remarkable scene in the House of Commons. Stephen Harper hugging Tom Mulcair and Justin Trudeau.

And I must admit I was impressed, because I've never seen Harper look so human.

But then there's nothing like having to cower in a broom closet, while the Con caucus prepares to defend you with spears.

Stephen Harper spent about 15 minutes hidden in a Parliament Hill closet after a gunman stormed Centre Block where he and the rest of the Conservative caucus were guarded by MPs who’d fashioned sharp spears from flagpoles, sources say.

To make a Great Warrior Leader more humble...

The Assault on Democracy: When Fear is the Enemy

It was for me strangely enough, the most terrifying moment of a nightmarish day. Standing in a crowded subway station, waiting for a train to take me home, watching the fear on people's faces.

It was only a few hours after most of them must have heard about, or seen what had happened on Parliament Hill.

So I can understand why they were so deathly quiet. Many were probably still stunned by what they had seen. Or the idea that it could happen here.

Harper's Canada and the Attack on Parliament Hill

I'm sure you've all seen the pictures of this nightmare day on Parliament Hill, this criminal assault on our democracy.

So all I have to say tonight is this:

(1) To the crazy fanatics who killed a young soldier today and another one in Quebec the other day: you and your kind will not intimidate us.

And we will remember Cpl. Nathan Cirillo and  Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent...

Long after we have forgotten their cowardly killers.

Stephen Harper, The Great Fear, and the Great War on Justin

Uh oh. Now we really are at war again. The ominous signs are unmistakable.

The CF-18s are on the way to the Middle East.

To save us from the ISIS hordes that would behead us in our beds. Or mow us down in a Tim Horton's parking lot.

Because you're not safe anywhere eh? And even if you arrest them you can't stop them.

The dreaded Threat Level, which I didn't even know existed, is glowing yellow.

And in the Seventh Sign of the Apocalypse, Stephen Harper has just fired another missile out of his rear orifice, in the general direction of Justin Trudeau...

Stephen Harper, the Terrorist Scare, and the Police State

I warned that Stephen Harper was looking for a way to scare Canadians, so he could try to stampede them into believing that only a Great Strong Leader like himself could save them.

So he could use fear to try to save himself, and turn this broken country into a police state.

Well today he got his "terrorist incident."

A 25-year-old man who injured two soldiers in a hit and run and was later fatally shot by police in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Que., was known to federal authorities as someone who had been "radicalized," according to the RCMP and the Prime Minister's Office.

And the way he handled it, and some of the strange things that happened today, should make all Canadians wonder whether we're still living in a democracy.

Stephen Harper and the Monstrous Ebola Scandal

A few days ago I pointed out that Stephen Harper was trying to fan the flames of an Ebola panic.

Even though his response to the epidemic has been lethally inadequate.

And far from making us safer he has been decimating the ranks of those who would protect us from dangerous diseases.

But this is simply obscene.

The Journey to the End of the Con Regime

I was watching them make a music video on an old schooner in the harbour yesterday, when I suddenly realized that in exactly one year, if Stephen Harper doesn't break his own law, we'll be voting in a general election.

And then, like the cabin boy lashed to the mast on a ship of female pirates, I thought oh boy this could be a long and exhausting journey eh?

Because while just a few days ago I was almost sure that Harper was going to go for an early election, maybe even a late fall election. In a last desperate kamikaze move to seize the moment, by posing as a Great Warrior Leader, and catch his opponents off guard.

You know, his Tora Tora moment....

Party of One: The Book That Will Help Destroy Stephen Harper

Eight years ago when I started attacking Stephen Harper and his ghastly Con regime, it sometimes felt lonely out there.

Almost nobody, and certainly nobody in the MSM, was attacking him like I did. Many of the old poobahs in the blogosphere thought I was over the top. That he was bad but not THAT bad. And that I should grow up.

And of course, my Mum was sure I'd end up in prison eh?

Then a few years ago things started to change. The blogosphere caught fire, Lawrence Martin wrote his book Harperland.

And now Michael Harris' new book Party of One should just about seal the record and finish him off.

Stephen Harper and the Deadly Politics of Ebola

The scene couldn't have been more ironic or more appalling. For even as the Ebola epidemic raged out of control, and Oxfam sent out a desperate call for more boots on the ground, in Africa.

On Saturday Oxfam took the unusual step of calling for troops to be sent to west Africa, along with funding and medical staff, to prevent the Ebola outbreak becoming the “definitive humanitarian disaster of our generation”. It accused countries that did not commit military personnel of “costing lives".

And leaders like Obama urged Americans not to surrender to fear and hysteria.

There was Stephen Harper, with a strange look on his face, receiving an award for helping stamp out polio, while cranking up the fear factor.

BREAKING: Russian Ship Threatens BC Coast Again

Well it looks as if Stephen Harper has jumped the gun again. For this morning he tweeted this:

After it looked like the Canadian Coast Guard had managed to avert disaster by towing a disabled Russian ship away from the B.C. coast.

Until the tow lines broke.

Stephen Harper the Big Lie and the Merchant of Venom

It's hard to tell these days whether Stephen Harper is lying because he's desperate, or because he's lost his moral compass.

Or on a day like yesterday, because he's simply delusional.

He says he doesn't want to sound paranoid, but Prime Minister Stephen Harper is concerned his own federal bureaucracy is trying to bring back the long gun registry "through the back door."

"I don't want to feed paranoia, but as prime minister I can tell you I share the frustrations of our caucus members," said Harper, before alluding to "bureaucratic initiatives that we think are effectively trying to put the long gun registry back in through the back door." "This is not something we can tolerate."

Big Brother Harper and the Gentle Birdwatchers

First he came for the environmentalists and the activists. Then he came for the scientists.

Then he came for those who fight poverty, and help the poor.

Now he's come for the birdwatchers.

The Con Regime's Republican Assault on Canadian Children

It was one of the first things Stephen Harper did when he came to power. Declare war  children.

By destroying plans for a national childcare program.

Parents have been paying for that decision ever since, with a lack of daycare spaces, and exorbitant fees. And children have been paying for it with their lives.

But still the Harperite cult is unrepentant.

Stephen Harper and the Propaganda War on Canadians

Ever since he came to power Stephen Harper has been trying to brainwash Canadians with the greatest barrage of propaganda this country has ever seen.

A barrage of lies and half truths worthy of Big Brother, and almost impossible to avoid.

They're on TV, and on the radio, they jump out at you in newspapers and magazines.

And now you can't even get away from them when you check out the weather.

For all you have to do is scroll down to the bottom of the newly redesigned Environment Canada site to see what I mean.

Will Stephen Harper Go For a Late Fall Election?

It's been the subject of much fevered speculation. Will Stephen Harper call an early election? And if so how early?

And no doubt Great Desperate Leader is consulting his crystal ball, and the fevered voices in his head.

And in his brief moments of lucidity, probably wondering if he DID go early what would be his excuse?

But now some Cons are apparently saying that he already has two good excuses, and he should pull the plug immediately.

The Con Regime's Lethally Inadequate Response to the Ebola Epidemic

We are still awaiting our first case of Ebola.

And even though the risk of a major outbreak in Canada is almost negligible, in the emergency rooms of the nation, doctors, and nurses, are already struggling to contain an epidemic of fear.

Not just the irrational fears of their patients, but legitimate fears over their own safety.

Linda Haslam-Stroud, president of the Ontario Nurse’s Association, said Tuesday that her organization is particularly concerned that nurses are not being offered all the equipment they might need to protect them from contracting the virus, as a Texas nurse did last week.

And as might have been expected, the response of the Harper regime has so far been woefully lacking.

Stephen Harper and the Murderous Con War on Drugs

As you know, I can't criticize and denounce enough what Stephen Harper and his foul Con regime are doing to this country.

Just like I can't praise our Supreme Court enough for standing up to those beastly bullies, and defending our Canadian values.

And today I get to do both at the same time. By pointing out that if the court hadn't stopped the Cons three years ago from closing down Vancouver's Insite Clinic.

Sixteen people could have died yesterday.

The Abominable Horror of Harper Night in Canada

I haven't been a regular viewer of Hockey Night in Canada for a long time.

The thuggish goons, the concussion casualties, the grotesque Don Cherry, as well as the sad fact that a Canadian team hasn't won the Stanley Cup for more than twenty years, having gradually turned me off the game.

So I didn't watch the new Rogers version of the show with George Stroumboulopolos the other night.

But after reading what happened on the broadcast, I think I can safely say that I will NEVER watch Hockey Night in Canada again.

Stephen Harper and the Climate Change Charade

With every day that passes, the devastating consequences of climate change become more obvious and more alarming.

The galloping horsemen or signs of the impending apocalypse.

Flooding, famine, disease and war to name but a few.

Only to be joined by the latest one: the fish are swimming towards the poles.

Stephen Harper and the Big Business of War

In the fog of war there are some things about Stephen Harper's plan to use airstrikes to defeat the ISIS crazies that are already abundantly clear.

One, they make him look as if he's taking decisive action, even though so far they are proving notoriously ineffective.

Two, they are REALLY expensive.

In a crazy sort of way.

And three, so far the only clear winner is the U.S. military industrial complex, and Harper's really good friends at Lockheed Martin.

Harper's War and the Song of the Chicken Media

Well it's the Thanksgiving Day weekend in Harperland, and we all have so many reasons to give thanks.

Especially Great Leader.

He finally got some good job numbers.

As short-lived and as dubious as they may be.

"As a stand-alone report, this is no doubt highly impressive, but given the rising turmoil in the rest of the world, not to mention growing questions over the reliability of the jobs data, these results may not have much lasting impact," BMO economist Doug Porter said in a note to clients.

And his war numbers are so good, the MSM is singing his praises, and suggesting that while he may lose the war, he WILL win the next election.

The Day Stephen Harper Was Accused of Flirting with Fascism

I always knew he'd lead this country to a very dark place, from the day he came to office.

And the very first thing he did was order the removal of the words "women's rights" from thousands of government documents.

I knew then that he was an alien beast like we had never seen before.

And now of course it's even worse. The country is bleeding from a thousand wounds, and he's crazy desperate, and trying to scare us into submission.

Stephen Harper and the Buying of the Next Election

It was one of the most bizarre photo-ops I have ever seen. Stephen Harper at a sports centre in Whitby, Ontario with children playing in the background as if he wasn't there.

Clearly having been told not to look at Harper and his large entourage to make the staged event look spontaneous.

Just another day in the gym with Big Daddy to take care of them.

But it was the look on his face that sent a chill down my spine...

For it betrayed his ruthless desperation. And that cuddly photo-op was nothing less than the beginning of his campaign to buy the next election.

Will Stephen Harper Win the War in Iraq and Canada?

Golly. If you depended exclusively upon some of the poobahs in our useless MSM to know what's happening, you might think that Stephen Harper was not only about to deal the ISIS crazies a crippling blow.

With six planes, and when they finally get there.

He's already dealt his chief political opponent a mortal blow, and is on his way to win the next election.

Because there's Chantale Hébert, already declaring that Justin Trudeau is Harper's War's first casualty.

When the Con Attack Machine Goes after the Media

It may be hard to believe, but it looks as if the smear artists in the PMO are worried about running out of ammunition for their legendary attack machine.

So they're making plans to "borrow" some from the MSM, without their permission.

Rick Mercer On Why the Con Speaker Should be Fired

As you know I'm not a big fan of the Con Speaker Andrew Scheer. I blame him for allowing our Parliament to be turned into a fascist circus, or a dog and pony show.

By allowing the Cons to get away with never giving a straight answer to any question, and for always tilting the same way like the Tower of Pisa. Or in his case the Tower of Harper.

In fact, I recently wrote I think he should be fired.

And now I see so does Rick Mercer...

Stephen Harper and the Day of the Con Planet Burners

It happened during Question Period in the middle of the debate about whether Canada should go to war.

So most did not notice and it will soon be forgotten.

The moment when Tom Mulcair quoted Stephen Harper's infamous 2002 statement on Kyoto:

“Kyoto is essentially a socialist scheme to suck money out of wealth-producing nations."

And the Cons rose to their feet clapping and cheering and laughing loudly.

On the same day that this scathing report was released.

Harper's War: The Blood Moon and the Con Insanity

It's raining where I live tonight so I can't see the blood moon. But I'm sure if I was in Ottawa I would get a great view of it.

Hanging low and bloody over the House of Commons.

Because this was the day Stephen Harper finally got his War in Iraq.

And it couldn't have been a crazier show.

Tuesday, October 07, 2014

Stephen Harper and the Con ISIS Enablers

So great is Stephen Harper's contempt for Parliament, that even on the day when it debated his plan to take us to war, he didn't even bother to show up.

No doubt preferring to stay at home, and prepare himself psychologically so he can control himself, and his bowels, when the special moment arrives.

And after eleven years he FINALLY gets his War in Iraq.

So in his place in the Commons today we got John Baird, and this special moment.

Harper's War: Churchill Moment or Swan Song?

It was the night before Canada officially goes to war, and no doubt in his command bunker Stephen Harper must have been in a state of feverish delirium.

No doubt believing that Harper's War will make him look like a Great Strong Leader, and that he'll be able to destroy the ISIS hordes AND the opposition.

That this is his great chance to save his old and tired government.

With six planes and no boots on the ground.

Or as Michael Den Tandt calls it, his Churchill moment.

Stephen Harper and the War on the Supreme Court

It seems only fitting that at a time when Stephen Harper is preparing to bomb Iraq, in the name of democracy and the rule of law.

And to save us from being beheaded in our bedrooms.

That another of his bombs should be landing on the Supreme Court.

Sunday, October 05, 2014

Stephen Harper, Harper's War, and the Fear Factor

Well he's got his war, tomorrow's debate and vote in the House of Commons will be a mere formality.

But then he'll have to sell it, and that won't be easy.

Because he won't be able to claim that the Americans asked us to participate, since we now know he begged them to let him play with the big boys.

So he will have to use FEAR.
