It was just another day in the Con clown leadership race, but before it was over the real face of the Harper Party had been revealed. Again.
And it couldn't be more ugly.
Or for the Cons more like the Day of the Dead.
With just three days to go before the Cons choose a new leader, I see that Rona Ambrose is still trying to whip up some interest in the event.
Still claiming that she was always planning to leave.
“If I was going to stay in politics, I would have run for the full leadership. I made that choice then. I knew I was going to leave.”
And still insisting that her decision to run for the exit had nothing to do with the dilapidated state of the Harper Party.
It's not a very good picture, but I thought I'd keep it anyway, because it's historic.
Sort of.
A picture of the Con Queen Rona Ambrose announcing that she's retiring from federal politics.
Which as you can imagine had the Cons and the pathetic Con media in a tizzy, praising her as the Greatest Prime Minister Canada Never Had.
And had the idiot Ambrose aka The Village Idiot, no doubt thinking it was only what she deserved.
It may be the most overhyped story to hit the Commons in a long long time. And the most racist.
But the Cons are desperate to find something, anything, to try to hurt the Trudeau government.
So Rona Ambrose really did say this yesterday.
But then of course she should know eh?
The grotesque chicken hawk Rona Ambrose has disgraced herself so many times it's almost impossible to keep a body count.
Whether demanding that we should drop more bombs on one country or another, or attacking the Trudeau children, or trying to prevent doctors from helping dying heroin addicts, she simply has no shame.
And now she has disgraced herself again.
I almost felt sorry for Rona Ambrose yesterday, as she tried to say something intelligent about the Liberal's new budget.
Only to fail miserably.
And end up looking, once again, like the village idiot.
Claiming that Liberal spending was out of control, and that it was a "nightmare scenario."
This is how the Cons would like us to imagine them. As the kind of party that would send out a Valentine card like that one.
Inviting us to bee their friends.
But of course, the Cons and the truth don't go as well together as honey and peanut butter.
And this is who they really are.
As you may know, I have absolutely no respect for Rona Ambrose, the monstrous leader of the Harper Party.
I can't forget how that cruel Con put her inhuman ideology before the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in this country.
By trying to close down the Insite clinic in Vancouver, and making it almost impossible to set up others like it in the rest of Canada.
Even though she knew they could have saved the lives of thousands of Canadians addicted to dangerous drugs like heroin and fentanyl.
Well now the ghastly Ambrose is going after the mentally ill.
The other day I said that I had been struck by the strange way Rona Ambrose had been behaving. How she had practically gone to ground.
After accusing Justin Trudeau of being unable to "resist the billionaire lifestyle" by vacationing at the Aga Khan's private island.
Only to have it revealed that she had been attacking him, while sailing through the Caribbean on a billionaire's yacht.
And now that observation has been confirmed.
For weeks Rona Ambrose has been attacking Justin Trudeau for taking a helicopter ride to the Aga Khan's private island, instead of swimming there.
But not any longer.
Yesterday in Question Period she was a mute as a carp.
And with good reason.
I began warning about Canada's opioid abuse epidemic, and about the danger of the killer drug fentanyl, a long long time ago.
And about the crying need to create more drug rehabilitation centres, and more frontline medical facilities like Vancouver's model Insite clinic.
So I'm glad to see that the Liberal government is taking action.
But I also want to remind people, that thousands of Canadians have died from drug overdoses since I first started writing about the problem.
And remind them who I believe deserves most of the blame for the deaths of so many.
As you know for almost a year Rona Ambrose and her Cons have been demanding that any plans for electoral reform must be approved by a referendum.
Screeching away like a broken record.
And for a very simple reason. They know that a referendum would almost certainly end up by reinforcing the status quo, and burying the idea of electoral reform for a generation.
So it's hard to understand why the NDP is now backing their position.
As we all know, Rona Ambrose likes to spend most of her time accusing Justin Trudeau of being a big spender.
She has attacked him for employing two nannies to take care of his three young children.
She has blasted him for taking his mother to Washington even though Barack Obama invited her.
But now the acting Con queen is under attack herself.
You might think that Rona Ambrose's main concern would be the way her allegedly new/nouveau party is turning into a collection of bigots and right-wing religious extremists.
What with Kellie Leitch trying to scapegoat refugees and immigrants for their "anti-Canadian values."
While Brad Trost stands up for those anti-Canadian values by taking aim at women and gay Canadians.
And the religious fanatic Andrew Scheer threatens to take the Harper Party even further to the right.
But no, the ghastly Ambrose has only one thing on her mind.
It still feels like summer in the place where I live, but fall officially arrives tomorrow.
So I have been spending as much time as I can soaking up every precious ray of sunshine.
And I am finding it very hard to get excited about the return of Parliament.
For just one quick glance at Question Period was enough to send shivers down my back.
Yesterday I ran a Michael Harris column that looked at the Cons apparent death wish.
And how they seemed unable to escape the deathly legacy of Stephen Harper.
And I also wondered how Rona Ambrose's decision to criticize Kellie Leitch for her demagogic proposal to screen immigrants for "anti-Canadian values,"would affect Ambrose's leadership.
And her ability to hold her party together.
When Rona Ambrose was named interim leader of the Cons, I predicted that the hissing ghosts of the Harper Party would come back to haunt her.
And turn her job into a nightmare.
And sure enough now they have.
With Kellie Leitch dredging up the corpse of her infamous cultural barbarism campaign.
The other day I wrote about how the threat of political violence was growing in Canada, and about all the death threats aimed at Justin Trudeau.
I wondered why the Ambrose Cons weren't doing anything to rein in their violent supporters.
And I also wondered why the MSM had ignored this story for so long, even though it's so obvious, so disturbing, and so dangerous.
So I'm glad to see that Chantal Hébert has noticed a foul stench in the air.
Yesterday I wrote about how Rona Ambrose and her Cons were going after the decent Health Minister Jane Philpott for having rented a limo Lexus to travel around the Greater Toronto Area.
Instead of taking a taxi or a bus.
As well as going after the equally decent Environment Minister Katherine McKenna, for the "crime" of having spent about $6,000 on photographs at the Paris climate summit.
Even though the Harper regime spent millions doing the same thing.
But what makes this grotesque assault even more disgusting is the way the Con media are trying to make it look like a major scandal.
It's not a pretty sight, but Rona Ambrose and her Con bullies are in a high state of excitation.
They think they've found another helpless target, and a massive scandal that will destroy the Liberal government.
And no, this time it isn't the nannies and the Trudeau children they are going after.
It's the Health Minister Jane Philpott.
