It's a lovely photo. Justin Trudeau and his family spending part of their Canada day helping to harvest vegetables for an Ottawa food bank.
It's another reason I admire our prime minister, another reason I love this peaceful country so much.
But unfortunately because Trudeau is so decent, and so Canadian, a lot of Cons and other haters want to kill him.
Ezra Levant is the most grotesque bully I have ever encountered. A porcine right-wing extremist who peddles bigotry for profit.
And the money he makes attacking Justin Trudeau, is only matched by the money he makes attacking the former child soldier Omar Khadr.
So when he heard that Khadr would be part of a panel discussion on child soldiers at Dalhousie University, he set off for Halifax to confront the man he hates so much.
Ever since Andrew Scheer began driving his Con cult down the Far Right Road, I've always thought that his obsessive virulent hatred for Justin Trudeau would take this country to a very dark place.
Where Canada would look a lot like Trump's America, and our precious values wouldn't stand a chance.
And sure enough, with only weeks to go before the election, Scheer's angry Cons are howling at the moon, and looking and sounding more deranged and more dangerous than ever.
Like these yellow vested goons waiting for Trudeau in Barrie, Ontario...
In the Ukrainian capital of Kiev yesterday about 8,000 people took part in a Pride march, that country's biggest one ever.
It was a proud moment for that country's oppressed LGBT community.
But police had to protect the marchers from neo-Nazis and other fascist scum who were threatening to attack them.
And if you thought that a similar threat couldn't happen here, at Canada's biggest Pride parade, you'd be wrong.
Jody Wilson-Raybault had barely finished telling "her truth" the other day, before Andrew Scheer came running out to demand that Justin Trudeau resign, claiming he had lost the "moral authority" to govern.
Which of course was absolutely absurd, and in normal times would have had many wondering whether the desperate Scheer was losing his marbles.
But of course these are not normal times. The grubby Cons and their shabby shuffling media stooges are in a fevered frenzy, trying to use the fake scandal to destroy Justin Trudeau.
So the sleazy Scheer has felt empowered to take his never-ending campaign to destroy Trudeau, to a new level of depravity.
I was flipping through the TV channels last night, on my way to watch the CBC News, when I came across a live broadcast of Justin Trudeau's town hall in Regina. And I couldn't stop watching it.
Not just because it was riveting TV. Trudeau in enemy territory, holding off the hostile hordes.
But also because, as much as I tried not to, after all those death threats, I couldn't help worrying about whether somebody would try to kill him.
I don't know when Alberta first became the vile hate mongering place it is today. Maybe it was before my time.
Or maybe ten years of the greasy oil pimp Stephen Harper made it think that it was better than all the other provinces put together.
A little bit of ugly America in Canada.
But what nobody can deny is that it is a hate mongering place.
And these are just the latest examples.
Yesterday I wrote about how the failing Con clown Andrew Scheer has announced that he intends to go after the Con media.
For believe it or not, being too LIBERAL.
And I suggested that the real reason is that his polls are tanking.
Well now Scheer is going after Justin Trudeau. Again.
Two weeks ago I wrote about the bigot bromance between Tommy Robinson and Ezra Levant.
And how Levant got so carried away with his slobbering love for Britain's most notorious hate monger, he triggered an investigation by the British police.
Well at a bigot rally the other day to celebrate his release from jail, Robinson told his supporters how much he appreciated Levant's support.
And the result couldn't have been more disgusting.
In my last post I looked at how Lisa Raitt had finally managed to provoke Justin Trudeau into losing his temper, and letting the Cons know how he felt about the way they were turning our parliament into sewer.
And the way Andrew Scheer's perverted Harperite cult was using a murdered child to try to smear him.
In his moment of anger Trudeau called them "ambulance-chasers."
And in that regard yesterday there was a sensational development, both pathetic and hilarious.
A long time ago I warned that the way Stephen Harper was demonizing Justin Trudeau was cowardly and evil, and would lead this country to a very bad place,
So when the bully was finally booted from office, I hoped that the Cons had learned their lesson, and would at last start acting like Canadians, instead of Republicans.
But sadly that was not to be.
For Andrew Scheer their new leader is just as bad as the last one.
The other day I wrote about how the threat of political violence was growing in Canada, and about all the death threats aimed at Justin Trudeau.
I wondered why the Ambrose Cons weren't doing anything to rein in their violent supporters.
And I also wondered why the MSM had ignored this story for so long, even though it's so obvious, so disturbing, and so dangerous.
So I'm glad to see that Chantal Hébert has noticed a foul stench in the air.
For years I have been warning that hatred kills. Like it did in Orlando last Sunday. Or like it did in Britain last Thursday.
When the gentle, decent Labour MP Jo Cox was shot and stabbed to death by a another cowardly bigot.
And I've also warned that the same poison was spreading in Canada.
Where progressive leaders like Justin Trudeau and Rachel Notley have been attacked by packs of rabid haters, and bombarded with death threats.
But it seems some people never learn.
