Toronto Pride and the Inspiring Courage of Justin Trudeau

In the Ukrainian capital of Kiev yesterday about 8,000 people took part in a Pride march, that country's biggest one ever.

It was a proud moment for that country's oppressed LGBT community.

But police had to protect the marchers from neo-Nazis and other fascist scum who were threatening to attack them.

And if you thought that a similar threat couldn't happen here, at Canada's biggest Pride parade, you'd be wrong.

Justin and Pierre: Like Father Like Son

It's a striking scene, Justin Trudeau celebrating Quebec's FĂȘte nationale in his Montreal riding, being confronted by an angry protester.

And forced to defend his right to call the province his home, and stand his ground.

“You came to speak English to us?” the man asked in French. “Isn’t your party next week?” The man then suggested Trudeau had come to “bother us at home,” to which Trudeau replied, “I am home.”

“There’s no place for intolerance here,” Trudeau said to the man, who was quickly pulled away by the prime minister’s security team.

Just like his father had to do fifty years ago.

The Day Justin Trudeau Told Donald Trump Enough Is Enough

Justin Trudeau's relationship with Donald Trump has always reflected our national character.

He was always polite, he tried to be as friendly as possible, but he didn't let Trump manhandle him.

And when he tried to bully him, and Canada, he finally said enough is enough.

Justin Trudeau and the Humiliation of Jason Kenney

Well it's the night of the Royal Wedding, and maybe a little dress up, and a little Vaseline on the lens, will make Jason Kenney feel better after his bruising bout with Justin Trudeau.

Where he insulted Trudeau in the most queenish manner, by claiming he had the political depth of a "finger bowl."

Only to have most observers empty the dainty finger bowl on his tinsel tiara.

And have Justin Trudeau leave him looking more like a drag queen than a real one.

Or whatever...

The Awesome Courage and Class of Justin Trudeau

When I saw this picture of Justin Trudeau preparing to face a town hall in Edmonton the other day, I wondered how it must feel to go where no Prime Minister has gone before.

And I was impressed by his courage, for it takes guts to face a crowd like that in a country with so many toxic old Trudeau haters, who infect this country like syphilis.

And nowhere was that courage more on display than it was in the city of Nanaimo yesterday.

LGBT Rights and the Trudeau Legacy

After fighting for years for their human rights, and having to endure the most disgusting discrimination and violence, this was a good week for transgendered Canadians.

A few days ago at a ceremony to mark Pride Month, they saw their flag raised on Parliament Hill for the first time.

And yesterday they finally got their transgender bill of rights.

Transgender Canadians will soon have the same human rights protections as everyone else, after the government's attempt to add gender identity to the Canadian Human Rights Act passed in the Senate Thursday afternoon.

And for both of those things they can thank Justin Trudeau.

Stephen Harper's Monument to Himself Gets Downsized

He was hoping to build this monstrous monument to himself on land reserved for a new Federal Court building, expected to be named after Pierre Trudeau.

He was hoping it would be a kick in the face of the Supreme Court, and a final insult to the leader he once called a "tired out little old man," in one of the most disgusting obits ever written.

But today the Liberal government announced the ghastly monument to the Victims of Communism will be moved.
