Justin Trudeau and the Women's Budget
Of all the good things that Justin Trudeau has done since he liberated us from Stephen Harper's monstrous regime, the one thing I like the most is his support for women's rights.
For there is no bigger or better or more pressing issue than finally assuring the equality of women.
And I can never forget how the very first thing Harper did when he came to power was order that the words "women's rights" be deleted from thousands of government documents.
For it was at that very moment that I realized that he was weird and evil.
And that we were now dealing with a group of hardline Republican-style ideologues like this country had never seen before, and I have been fighting them ever since.
So I'm really happy to see that in the Trudeau government's new budget the equality of women is front and centre.

The Con Media Circus and the Fake India Story
As you know, I have been portraying some of our shabby Con media in traditional garb, to mock the way they covered Justin Trudeau's visit to India.
On location, from Ottawa and Toronto.
But actually I probably should have portrayed them as the latest addition to the Con clown circus.
For thanks to their orgy of bias, and their latest desperate attempt to destroy Trudeau, they managed to miss the real story.
But they did so stir up the Cons, that their creepy leader is starting to sound almost dangerous.
This raving Con dotard sounds like he has finally lost the last of his marbles.
And of course this is the absolute limit.
Donald Trump: Comic Book Hero or President Chicken?
The voices in Donald Trump's head are screaming so loudly these days, he's been shooting off in all directions.
One moment he's all for raising the age limit for buying a gun, the next moment he isn't.
And of course this is just a really bad joke.

How The Con Media Made Themselves Look Like Idiots. Again.
As we all know, the good old boys from the parliamentary press gang have been in a frigging frenzy recently.
Covering Justin Trudeau's visit to India, from Ottawa and/or somewhere in Toronto.
Mocking Trudeau and his young family for dressing up in Indian garb...
Accusing him of having invited a former terrorist to dinner. Only thirty-four years after he tried and failed to kill an Indian diplomat in Canada!!
Claiming that the Indian prime minister Narendra Modi was so displeased he was shunning Justin!!!
Screeching like banshees, or Cons, that the visit was the worst diplomatic disaster EVER!!!
Or as Stephen Maher was seen to be screaming hysterically, bad for CANADA!!!!

The Con Media and the Canada I Love
After a long and hard week this was just the image I really needed to boost my spirits. An image of the Canada I love.
Sebastien Toutant a.k.a. Seb Toots, from L’Assomption, Québec, Canada, moments after winning the gold medal in the Big Air competition.
With a big smile on his face, as usual.
HISTORY MADE— CBC Olympics (@CBCOlympics) February 24, 2018

A nice guy who finished first. A symbol of the young, cool, confident, happy country I'd like to live in.
Instead of the grim, dark, place it's in danger of becoming. Again.
For this is not my Canada.

The Day the Con Media Ended Up Looking Like Idiots
As I'm sure you know, I have absolutely no respect for most of the Parliamentary press gang.
They are incredibly mediocre, gratingly provincial, almost entirely dedicated to trying to return the Cons to power, to satisfy their corporate masters.
And their coverage of Justin Trudeau's visit to India, from their perches in drab downtown Ottawa, couldn't have been more appalling and disgraceful.

The Day the NRA Killer Crazies Struck Back
At the CNN town hall the other night, Emma Gonzalez and other Parkland Massacre survivors were able to put the NRA's representative Dana Loesch on the spot.
Or tame the beast into submission.
But yesterday the NRA struck back with it's hideous leader Wayne LaPierre roaring like a maniac.
The head of the National Rifle Association, Wayne LaPierre, leveled a searing indictment on Thursday against liberal Democrats, the news media and political opportunists he said were joined together in a socialist plot to “eradicate all individual freedoms.”
Or a fascist.
And Dana Loesch never sounding so animal.

The Parkland Kids Take On Donald Trump and the Gun Lobby
It was a day to remember. A day of extraordinary sights and sounds.
Like Donald Trump being forced to listen to sobbing teenagers and the parents of their murdered friends.
And trying to show he felt their pain, with the help of some scribbled notes.
Which as Billy Bragg says is beyond belief.
When I saw this pic late last night I thought it must have been photoshopped. Apparently not. Turns out that the President of the United States needs notes to remind him to how to show empathy. Staff have to tell him he should say 'I hear you' to Parkland survivors and families. https://t.co/m4RsAelYDV— Billy Bragg (@billybragg) February 22, 2018
And says so much about Trump the man and the President.
But on such an extraordinary day, I think I enjoyed this sight the most.

Lost in the Madness of the Land of the Trump Beast
When I was a boy no book made more of an impression on me than did William Golding's Lord of the Flies.
And no scene was more horrifying than the one when the gentle Simon comes across the Lord of the Flies himself, a pig's head on a stake.
And as the other boys rampage across the island, with their sharpened spears and painted faces, is made to understand that we are The Beast.
Shortly before he is murdered.
So welcome to my nightmare.

The Toxic Partisanship of the Con Clown Pierre Poilievre
For a long time after the Con regime went down in flames, and was humiliated beyond recognition, Pierre Poilievre all but faded into the woodwork.
Or lost himself in the midst of all those Con losers. I mean just look at them.
But then the fake Aga Khan scandal gave him a new lease on life, and another chance to attack Justin Trudeau and his family.
And now he's at it again.

Can Donald Trump Be Blackmailed Over Sex?
Earlier today I looked at what Donald Trump might be hiding.
And quoted what the New York Times' Thomas Friedman had to say about that.
President Trump is either totally compromised by the Russians or is a towering fool, or both, but either way he has shown himself unwilling or unable to defend America against a Russian campaign to divide and undermine our democracy.
Which was encouraging.
But now Heather Mallick asks whether Trump can be blackmailed over sex?
What Is Donald Trump Hiding?
Ever since Robert Mueller indicted thirteen Russians for interfering in the 2016 election, Donald Trump has been acting like he's finally losing his marbles.
Lashing out at just about everybody.
President Trump lashed out with fresh anger about the intensifying Russia probe over the weekend, accusing Democrats of enabling a foreign adversary to interfere in the 2016 election and attacking the FBI as well as his own national security adviser.
From his own staff to Oprah.
At everybody that is except the Russians.

The Parkland Massacre and the Revolt of the Young
Most school massacres in the United States follow a depressing and predictable pattern.
First there is the horror and the shock. Then there are tears and teddy bears, and candles, and heartbreaking pain and sorrow.
And then the dead are forgotten by those who didn't know them or love them.
Until the next massacre tears another community apart.
But the slaughter of 17 students and teachers in Parkland, Florida, the other day seems to be different.
For this time there's a burning anger.
Why Donald Trump Can No Longer Fire Robert Mueller
Donald Trump can rant and rave about Robert Mueller's indictment of 13 Russian trolls
He can claim the indictments shows there was no collusion.
He can try to discredit the FBI.
As only a pathetic and increasingly desperate dotard could.
But he can't call Russian interference a hoax any longer.
And he can't fire Mueller.

Patrick Brown and the Fabulous Con Clown Show
I always knew the Ontario PC's leadership race was a Con clown show.
But who knew it could be THAT funny?
I knew Patrick Brown could play a really good mummy.
But who knew he could also play a really scary Con zombie?

The Day The Ontario Cons Ate Themselves Alive
I watched the first debate of the Ontario PC leadership candidates live on Twitter yesterday afternoon at work, instead of watching the tape on TV several hours later when I got home.
Which was annoying, since I was occasionally interrupted, and missed parts of it.
But as it turns out that wasn't a totally bad thing, because it was without a doubt the worst political debate I have ever seen.
And when it finally ended I had this warning for my Twitter followers.

Donald Trump and the Parkland Massacre
It was just a horrible coincidence, albeit a bloody one.
But only hours after I ran this post with the picture of Donald Trump brandishing an AR 15 rifle.
The same weapon was used to slaughter a large number of high school students in Florida.
A heavily armed young man barged into his former high school about an hour northwest of Miami on Wednesday, opening fire on terrified students and teachers and leaving a death toll of 17 that could rise even higher, the authorities said.
And Trump never looked more hypocritical.
The Horrifying Con Valentine on Parliament Hill
Well as we all know, yesterday was Valentine's Day, a day to celebrate love.
Even in that most unromantic of places, Parliament Hill.
But funnily enough the way the political parties marked the day, told us a lot about who they are.

The NRA Warns the Media: Stop Making Fun of Trump Or Else
Donald Trump's spy chiefs are telling him the Russians are already meddling in the midterm elections.
Robert Mueller and his FBI posse could come down on him at any moment.
His White House is being accused of covering up cases of domestic abuse even as his lawyer is now claiming he used his own money to pay off the porn star Stormy Daniels.
And many of his staffers are abandoning him in record numbers.
But the NRA is blaming the media for Trump's troubles, and is warning them to stop making fun of Trump.
Or else.
Colten Boushie and the Ghastly Silence of the Cons
It's now been several days since an all-white jury found a white farmer in Saskatchewan not guilty of anything in the killing of Colten Boushie.
And since then there have been demonstrations of sorrow and anger all over this country.
So I was really glad to see that Boushie's grief stricken family was able to meet with Justin Trudeau yesterday.

Randy Rainbow on Hog Trump and the Wife Bashers
Well as we all know, Donald Trump has been having trouble with the wife bashers in the White House.
And the other day I wrote about what I think of his piggy behaviour.
But I forgot to mention one thing.
As Randy Rainbow points out, he does stand by his
So remember, support the #MeToo movement.
And as I said so long ago.
Be sure to give Hog Trump the respect he deserves...

The Con Media, Andrew Scheer, and the Rebel Connection
For months I have been hoping that our shabby media would notice how Andrew Scheer's Cons and Ezra Levant's hate mongering Rebel were beginning to resemble each other.
With Levant seeming or screaming to tell Scheer what to do.
And yesterday they finally did, sort of.
It began when the Con propaganda machine began calling for an emergency debate on the pipeline war between B.C. and Alberta.
But when Question Period began yesterday, that war was quickly forgotten.
And the Cons started off instead by attacking this tweet from Justin Trudeau's advisor Gerald Butts.

The Day Andrew Scheer Revealed His Inner Maniac
As we all know Andrew Scheer likes to portray himself as a Mr Nice Guy, the Con Forrest Gump, or the politician next door.
And as you also know, I've been trying to warn Canadians that he isn't what he appears to be.
Warn them that he is not a harmless Gump, or chump. He's a dangerous religious fanatic and a stealthy right-wing extremist.
And sure enough last Friday he gave a speech at the Manning Centre, and for a brief moment his mask fell off, and he revealed his inner Scheer.

Hog Trump Goes After The #MeToo Movement
We always knew that Donald Trump was a sexist pig, even before he became president.
A misogynist, a groper, a pervert.
Even the media knew that.
But his supporters didn't care, many of them being hogs themselves, and they voted for him anyway.
And now he's doubling down and going after the #MeToo movement.
The Killing of Colten Boushie and the Bigots in Saskatchewan
APTN News
A young indigenous man out for a joy ride with his friends. An old white farmer with a gun collection large enough to equip a small army.
A gun that goes off "accidentally" and an "accidental bullet" that hits Colten Boushie in the back of the head.
An all-white jury that acquits Gerald Stanley of second-degree murder.
How cheap is aboriginal life.
And welcome to Saskatchewan.

Patrick Brown, Doug Ford, and the Collapse of the Con Castle
It's hard to believe that just over two weeks ago Patrick Brown was the king of his Con castle.
And getting ready to bury Kathleen Wynne's Ontario Liberals in the next provincial election.
He had chiseled the rough edges off his Cons, made them look like a bluish version of the Liberals, a party fit for the 21st Century.
But then as we know, his whole world fell apart, and the beast came roaring back.

Mark McMorris and the Road Back to the Olympics
I watched our athletes march into the stadium in Pyeongchang, South Korea, this morning.
As always it was a proud moment, and I'm looking forward to cheering for all of them.
But I have to admit I will be cheering for one of them even more than all the others.
Because he is my kind of Canadian hero.
And the fact that he's at the Olympics is the closest thing to a miracle.
Andrew Scheer's Losing War on Justin Trudeau
As you all know I'm sure, Andrew Scheer has been having a terrible week, and you can see the desperation in his face.
Even the Con media is getting tired of his never-ending claim that Trudeau took an "illegal vacation" and is starting to ignore him.
Or preferring to ask him questions about what he knew about the sordid Dykstra sex scandal.
Which he is refusing to answer.
Just like I'm sure he would refuse to answer these two questions, that I would like ask him.

The Incredible Hypocrisy of Andrew Scheer's Grubby Cons
Yesterday I wondered whether Andrew Scheer was losing his marbles, or whether he was just acting like a shabby Con artist again.
And I'm afraid the answer is he's both crazy AND shameless.
For he will not give up his never-ending assault on what he calls Justin Trudeau's "illegal vacation."
And now he has a new angle, and it couldn't be more disgusting.
Porky Trump's Parade and the Roman Triumph
I suppose it was inevitable, and nobody should be surprised.
When you have a bloated authoritarian would be dictator like Donald Trump in the White House.
One who needs to be told how great he is every day of the year, it was only a matter of time.
Sooner or later he was going to want a parade.

The Day Andrew Scheer Went Over The Deep End
Andrew Scheer has only been Con leader for about nine months, but already there are signs that he cannot handle the pressure of being Harper Two.
And is slowly losing his marbles.
Yesterday I issued this warning on Twitter:
And sure enough not long afterwards he went over the deep end.
Tuesday, February 06, 2018
Donald Trump's Day of Total Economic Humiliation
It had to be one of the funniest days in the ghastly presidency of Donald Trump. And for the bloated orange oaf, one of his most humiliating.
For there he was yesterday afternoon in a factory in Ohio, bragging about his economic record.
While claiming he was "non-braggadocious."
But still managing to accuse the Democrats who hadn't applauded his State of the Union address of being "treasonous."

Are the Scheer Cons Now More Popular Than The Liberals?
When I checked to see what Andrew Scheer was doing this weekend, I saw that he was at the Winter Carnival in Quebec City.
No doubt trying to hold on to the small and shrinking number of seats the Cons have in that province.
Which won't be easy, because most Quebecers strongly support Justin Trudeau, and they need a right-wing, religious fanatic, and climate change denier like Scheer, like they need a hole in the head.
But then I saw something shocking.
A new poll that suggests that Scheer's Cons are suddenly more popular than Trudeau's Liberals.

Is This Why The Con Media Hates Justin Trudeau So Much?
As you know, I've often wondered why the Con media is so biased against Justin Trudeau, and hates him so much.
I've blamed that bias on shameless scribblers trying to please their corporate bosses, who are furious with Trudeau for raising their taxes.
I've wondered whether our dilapidated media are being secretly propped up by uber right-wing groups like the Fraser Institute or the Koch brothers.
But now I have a new theory to add to the mix, and in many ways it's the most horrifying.

Andrew Scheer and the Harper PMO Scandal
Ever since he became leader Andrew Scheer has been able to avoid the ghastly legacy of Stephen Harper and his Con regime.
The leader and the regime he served so faithfully.
But now Harper is suddenly back, and so is a scandal that could blow the Cons apart.
The Awesome Courage and Class of Justin Trudeau
When I saw this picture of Justin Trudeau preparing to face a town hall in Edmonton the other day, I wondered how it must feel to go where no Prime Minister has gone before.
And I was impressed by his courage, for it takes guts to face a crowd like that in a country with so many toxic old Trudeau haters, who infect this country like syphilis.
And nowhere was that courage more on display than it was in the city of Nanaimo yesterday.

Kellie Leitch and the Incredible Shrinking Ezra Levant
As you may remember, Kellie Leitch and Ezra Levant had a very close working relationship during the Con leadership campaign.
Both shared the same view that only they could save our Canadian values from the "barbarians" i.e. the Muslims.
And that like Donald Trump, only they could save us from the "elites" i.e. Justin Trudeau.
But mostly it was about money.
Who Will Trump Nuke First, The FBI Or North Korea?
As I'm sure you know, Donald Trump is at war with the FBI, in a desperate attempt to save himself from Robert Mueller.
And although it's a war he cannot win.
President Trump entered office last year as a singular figure. But he has come to resemble two of his predecessors in one crucial respect. Though he’s more paranoid than Richard Nixon and more mendacious than Bill Clinton, he seems bent on following them down a road to hell: a confrontation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Like them, he’ll lose.
There's a widespread feeling that we're in great danger.
And with good reason.
