The Unbearable Agony of Omar Khadr

After years of blogging about Omar Khadr I can't describe how happy I was to see the united opposition demanding that his unbearable agony be finally ended .....by bringing him home.

And how disgusted I was to see what our foul Con government had to say:

"We are not interested in what Mr. Khadr's lawyers have to say or opposition leaders or, frankly, the media," Kory Teneycke told the Canadian Press.

"We are not going to make decisions on this case on the basis of PR campaigns by his lawyer, by his media, or the opposition coalition."

These monstrous inhuman bastards....who don't seem to understand that Omar's agony is our shame.

Or that nothing can excuse what the Pentagon torturers....and their Canadian stooges and collaborators...have done to this Canadian kid.

A Canadian kid who despite what they have done to him has managed to cling to his humanity....and his Disney comic books...in a place as foul as Guantanamo.

A Canadian kid who if his name had been Smith or Tremblay would have been home long ago.

Which is why the only thing I object to is any suggestion that when Omar is finally returned to Canada he should be put on trial in this country. Because he has suffered ENOUGH.

And because the U.N. Protocol on Child Soldiers.... that we were the FIRST to sign.... is very clear about that:

The U.S. and Canadian governments are signatories to a United Nations protocol that states fighters under age 18 are to be considered child soldiers and must be released and helped to reintegrate into society.

Omar must be treated for his serious injuries, and rehabilitated not punished. But first he must come home.

If our disgusting, inhuman, racist government won't do the right and decent thing. We can only hope that Obama will.

Or dream of the day when the Con filth is washed away. Canada is clean and free again.

And so at last is Omar...

I don't know why these people are so NUMB to human suffering.

Hi Oemissions...I don't either. I once thought it was just ideological. But now I think it's more than that. I think Harper is simply incapable of empathy. To put it bluntly I think he's missing a few screws and it makes him not just a lousy Prime Minister, but also a horrible human being...

I suggest you read Howard Anglin"s piece in last week's 0ttawa Citizen.Blows large enough holes into your arguments and uses the law to do so.As for your comments about the PM,YOU ARE ENTITLED TO THEM,WORTHLESS AS THEY ARE.
