Andrew Scheer has rarely looked and sounded so desperate. The creepy smile is gone.

He's making wild promises. 

Even ones like that one that could kill thousands of Canadians, from babies to seniors.

And I can only imagine what Scheer and his ex-Rebel campaign manager Hamish Marshall must be saying or screaming to each other as the wheels seem to be coming off their campaign.

I see Andrew Scheer has been playing cowboy, and flipping pancakes at the Calgary Stampede.

And although I'm sure Scheer was happy to be half a continent away from Doug Ford and the stench of Con corruption, he must also be hurting inside, and increasingly desperate.

Just a few weeks ago it seemed he was heading for a crushing Con majority, and on the verge of being able to impose his deranged Scheeria law on Canada.

Now not so much.

Why The Trudeau Liberals Are Rising Again In The Polls

It was a grim winter for Justin Trudeau and his Liberals. A series of fake scandals, whipped into a frenzy by our shabby Con media, dragged down their polls.

And at one point it seemed that Andrew Scheer's sinister Cons were heading for a crushing majority. One that would finally allow them to mutilate Canada beyond recognition.

But after a cold spring, summer has finally arrived, and it seems that Scheer's shining vision of that godly majority is melting, or whatever...

The Fake Scandal and the Con Media Disconnect

I'm having trouble trying to characterize the feverish dance of the Con media around the blazing bonfire of the fake scandal.

Is it something out of Lord of the Flies where the shabby stooges dance stagger around demanding the head of Justin Trudeau?

Or is it some kind of horrible mental condition you can contract in the incestuous village of Ottawa at the end of a very long winter?

I don't know, I'm not a psychiatrist, but one thing is for sure; the disconnect between the media and the people they are supposed to serve has never been greater.

The Con Media, the Fake Scandal, and the New Generation

After the way the ghastly Con media has gone after him, you might think that by now there wouldn't be much left of Justin Trudeau.

And that the old zombies from the Parliamentary Press Gallery would by now be fighting over who gets an arm and who gets a leg.

Or proclaiming that there is no need for an election because Trudeau has already lost.

But miraculously enough Trudeau seems to be not only intact....

Has The Bigotry Of The Cons Fooled and Scared Canadians?

I think you know how I feel about Andrew Scheer's kooky far right campaign against the U.N.'s Global Compact on Migration.

It's another Big Lie. It appeals to the worst instincts of humanity. It's the call of the loony fascist. And it's dangerous.

But I have to admit I never thought that many Canadians would be fooled by Scheer's monstrous lie.  

And now I'm not so sure.

Is Maxime Bernier Hurting Andrew Scheer's Cons Already?

Ever since Maxime Bernier left the Cons to form his own party, the People's Party or Max Party, Andrew Scheer has been desperately trying to ignore him. 

Trying to pretend, in public at least, that Mad Max is not a real threat to Scheer's fevered plan to DESTROY Justin Trudeau. 

And no doubt hoping that because he calls himself Mad Max and attracts all kinds of crazies, that Bernier would soon flame out. And that his party would go down with him.

But sadly for Scheer, it seems that Bernier's party is off to a roaring start, and that Mad Max is a real threat.

Why Did Andrew Scheer's Popularity Take Such A Dive?

Andrew Scheer is still claiming that his "positive message" is working, and that more and more Canadians want him to be prime minister.

But sadly for him, he's either terribly wrong, or lying. Again.

For he has no positive message, just the same old Rebel-style attack ads aimed at Justin Trudeau, brought to us by his ex-Rebel campaign manager Hamish Marshall. 

And as for Scheer's popularity, according to the latest Nanos poll, it's STILL tanking. 

Andrew Scheer's Sad and Horrible Halloween

As I'm sure you can imagine, it wasn't Andrew Scheer's best Halloween ever.   

He's looking a little ragged these days. The creepy smile is gone, he's angry and desperate.

He's been going after Justin Trudeau as if he wanted to bite him.

And trying to turn his carbon tax into a nightmare.

Almost as soon as Andrew Scheer became Con leader, I warned that there was something different and strange about him.

And that politically speaking at least, he was more American than Canadian.

And sure enough now he has revealed his true colours.

As we all know Andrew Scheer and his ghastly Cons try to use the word "fail" as many times as possible when talking about Justin Trudeau.

In what is clearly a crude attempt to brainwash us.

It's beyond belief, and this is outrageous.

Ever since Andrew Scheer became Con leader, the shabby Con media in this country has been heaping praise on him.

Encouraging his hatred of Justin Trudeau, ignoring his many lies.

Licking him like a lollipop, in what has to be one of the most disgusting spectacles in modern Canadian history.

Why Andrew Scheer Is Looking So Desperate

Oh dear, poor Andrew Scheer has that desperate look on his face again. And no wonder, everything is going wrong.

Last night his "emergency pipeline debate" went nowhere, after all he could do was shout "Mr Trudeau build that pipeline!!!!"

Which seemed a bit ridiculous, considering the situation, especially since the Prime Minister is in Europe.

So most of the media didn't bother to cover it.

But if you thought that went badly, his attempt to use Trudeau's India visit to embarrass him, again, was even more of a fiasco.

Blue Monday and the Gloomy Canadians

Today is Blue Monday, the day some say is the most depressing day of the year. For obvious reasons.

AS the Christmas memories fade, all we are left with are a hammered bank account, a bulge around the waist, gloomy weather and a return to work after weeks of partying. 

These factors all come together in a perfect storm for a single day believed to be the most depressing of the year which has been dubbed 'Blue Monday'.

And although I should be immune. I'm happy, I didn't spend much at Christmas, I didn't put on any pounds. And the only thing making me blue, literally, are the extremely cold temperatures this winter.

I did find something really depressing, so I could join in the collective misery.

The Con Media and the Conapocalypse

It was Rosemary Con Barton's last At Issue panel of the year, and as usual it was a horror show.

The ghastly Con conclave declared Pierre Poilievre to be the politician of the year for smearing Bill Morneau as only he could.



Yes, that Pierre Poilievre.

Then to make matters even more obscene, Con Barton did solemnly declare that the Liberals and Justin Trudeau were the year's biggest LOSERS!!!

The Shameless Con Media and the Cowardly Cons

As I'm sure you know, many Cons are not very smart, they tend to be extremely paranoid, and they're definitely not very brave.

Not because their brains are necessarily smaller, but because their fear glands are humungous. 

Peering inside the brain with MRI scans, researchers at University College London found that self-described conservative students had a larger amygdala than liberals.

Which can affect the way Cons see the world.

The conservative party is big on national defense and magnifies our perception of threat, whether of foreign aggressors, immigrants, terrorists, or invading ideologies like Communism. To a conservative, the world really is a frightening place.

Or the way they react to threats, as we know only too well...

As I'm sure you have noticed, Andrew Scheer is looking a little ragged these days. 

For six months he has been attacking Justin Trudeau like a bat out of hell, or a maniac. 

Or an alt-right religious fanatic.

But sadly for him it's just not working.

In fact, it's an absolute disaster.

Andrew Scheer isn't smiling as much as he used to these days, as he tries one thing after the other to make himself more popular.

And destroy Justin Trudeau.

But even with the help of his Mini-Me, Hamish Marshall from The Rebel, it's all going horribly wrong.

Poll Wars: The Liberals Are Back On Top

Oh dear. Yesterday the grinning religious fanatic Andrew Scheer was flying high, after a Forum poll showed him and his Cons leading the Liberals for the first time in a long time.

But I wondered whether the poll was an outlier.

And now it seems it was.

And poor old Scheer isn't grinning anymore.
