Doug Ford's Bus and the Road To Ruin

I see that Doug Ford has unveiled his shiny new bus.

And a shiny new slogan: "For the People."

So he can ride in comfort all over Ontario, giving the people the thumb.

While giving the media the finger.

Because as you may know, he's not giving them a bus to follow him.

So it will be harder to ask Ford any embarrassing questions.

Like do you know what you are doing Meat Loaf?

Or are you making it up as you go along?

Or worse.

Like how many other promises did you make to the religious fanatics who made you Con leader?

Because this list of promises is right out of the The Hand Maid's Tale

The religious right are now sitting in the driver’s seat of a major Ontario political party following Doug Ford’s surprisingly narrow victory at Saturday’s Ontario PC leadership convention.

And it's good to know who is REALLY driving that bus.

And since it's an assault on women's rights, and the rights of bullied LGBT children, it really would be nice to ask the brutish Dougie whether he knows the difference between a democracy and a theocracy?

Or what's decent or what's disgusting...

Since he clearly doesn't know what's provincial and what's federal.

Or even who he can fire, or who he cannot.

And as for ethics, let's not forget the time he was caught in the act buying votes.

But of course that's the problem eh?

So few people know how dumb and reactionary Doug Ford really is, that he's heading for a possible majority.

So I'm glad the Liberals have started to attack him...

And although I find that ad a bit lame, it is only the beginning. Other resistance groups are rising.

And hopefully they will put pressure on all those older men who are supporting Doug Ford.

For as I said on Twitter, I have no idea why they are doing what they are doing.

What's wrong with those dotards? Do they hate women and gay kids and Canada that much?

Don't they care if the whole world laughs at them and their idiot leader?

For trust me it will.

Just like they laughed at Dougie's depraved brother...

And Canada was made to look like a corrupt banana republic full of really dumb people.

Why they would want that I have no idea, are they just dumb or are they senile?

But what I do know is that the ape must be brought down...

Before he runs wild and helps destroy everything good about this country.

Attack him, attack him.

Bring him down hard...

Nothing like salty liberal tears on a Monday.

Thanks for reminding me that Stephen Harper was finished off by the Ford family. I remember when he met with them not long before the last election, and had his picture taken with them. The picture was supposed to be private, but one of the Fords made it public and Harper never recovered.

Your tweet about the number of older men supporting Ford says it all. Those cranky old dotards would vote for a raccoon if one was running for office. They hate the world and they just want others to be as unhappy as they are. They will be sorry when Ford cuts medicare and they are lying in hospital corridors with not enough staff to take care of them.

The 2018 Ford Escape. Hilarious. Your heavenly hash graphic was quite funny as well Simon. We do need levity in these trying times and the humour is appreciated.
In spite of him shunning the media, they've still been relatively easy on him. It reminds me of when the now deposed King Harper did the same thing. I guess the Con media can't bring themselves to criticize a Con or they're being directed not to.
I can't help but wonder if there's some video of old Dougy doing some dastardly deeds back in brother Rob's meltdown era. There was the video in his sister's basement of Rob and I think her smoking crack. There's got to be something to throw on top of his already sordid past.
I dont know why or how my Con MP got my email but he sent me this yesterday.
"Our new PC leader, Doug Ford, will be touring Eastern Ontario in the upcoming week as part of his For a Better Ontario tour.
Doug will be holding meet and greets at the following locations in the coming week, directions and details can be found at the following links:" I removed the links.
"Having been to Doug's rallies in the past I can say they are something you NEED to see in person, there is nothing quite like it in the political world.
I strongly encourage anyone and everyone to come out and see what Doug is all about and see first hand the momentum building up behind him and our Party.
Hope to see you there!"
My reply, "Thanks for the warning!"

Tears of joy from laughing at the big oaf who's probably working on a solution to the Kinder Morgan problem, LOL!

Every time Doug Ford opens his mouth I shudder, he just sounds so dumb. I can't believe that anybody would vote for him to become a dog catcher let alone the Premier of Canada's most powerful province. To make matters worse the Liberals and the NDP could split the vote, so strategic voting is going to be important. Unless something in Ford's past is revealed and his campaign implodes which is entirely possible.

I just hope they stick to politics. Hillary tried to make being Trump a bad thing when many saw him just as a very successful man of his generation. Same for Doug.

Its just like sinking into quick sand. The more you struggle the faster you sink. Ontario's current financial problems started during the 2008 great recession when factories closed and their balance of trade went negative. Rather than throw a life line the great oily messiah handed them a few stones with his great "energy superpower" plan and the corresponding strong Canadian dollar. The provincial Liberals tried to go it alone by racking up debt and although they made some mistakes they managed to stay afloat. Then along came a federal government that was willing to work with them and through team work help pull the province back onto firm ground. That all ended when a shiny new Ford truck arrived with a fresh load of Con rocks to fill the hole before rescuing the victim.
Its real easy to balance a budget by stripping out services, privatizing , and downloading charges to the municipal level but it does nothing to regain the competitive position Ontario enjoyed for years. That requires investment in education, infrastructure, trade partners and team work. The great oily one sure cast a long dark shadow in more places than Ontario.

Hi anon@12:31PM....I bet when speak you sound like Doug Ford i.e. really dumb, or really Trump. You can try as you might but you can't put lipstick on a pig...

hi anon@3:08PM...the day Harper met with Ford was the day his campaign finally fell apart. If I remember correctly the decision split his campaign staff and finished off the pitbull Jennie Byrne. And here's the irony, Byrne and a whole bunch of Harper Cons including Kory Teneycke are running Dougie's campaign...

hi anon@3:32 PM...I don't know why so many older men are supporting Ford, I imagine it's for the same reason so many old white men support Donald Trump. They want to turn the clock back to a time when men ruled and women served. If that is the case they will die unhappy because they are on the wrong side of history...

Hi JD...It's not easy trying to be funny in these trying times, but one has to if only to keep up your strength for the battle ahead. And in that regard I found this hilarious:

"Having been to Doug's rallies in the past I can say they are something you NEED to see in person, there is nothing quite like it in the political world.

Thank you. We live in bestial times, but nothing will ever make Doug Ford a real leader. I wouldn't be surprised if some sordid secret takes him down, but if he isn't down by the time the debates are held, they'll take care of him. He apparently has a big lead in the polls, but like Trump he is born to take his party down with him...

Hi anon@6:18 PM...as I told the Con commenter at the top of this page, that's my reaction too, I have never heard any leader who looks and sounds so dumb. And yes, strategic voting is going to be important for right now Wynne and Horwath are practically tied. More on that later...

ho Steve...everything is political. Clinton was right, Trump is a bad thing. But yes, the best way to defeat Ford is to point out that he has no platform, and is making it up as he goes along....

Simon said...

hi RT...I recognize the Liberals have made some mistakes, but Ontario has been doing quite well relatively speaking, and Ford has no solutions for anything. He's a cardboard Trump and if the media does its job, he will be revealed to be a fraud...

Why was he beaten by John Tory?

Many supporters of the Ontario CRAP Party realized that a serious problem had been created for the party when the crazies handed this guy the leadership. Of what little of him there is, they're fully aware. What I find most objectionable is that, because they're stuck with him, those same supporters would feel entitled to subject the rest of the people in the province to the risks associated with handing political power to such a shallow sloganeering thug.

Regardless of the election outcome, this party is already lost. It's an unprincipled act that those in the party who realize that should attempt to drag others into sharing in the loss. If electoral victory is the only thing that matters to them, they should give their collective head a shake and then, presuming his has stopped shaking, ask Reince Priebus what he thinks.

The ad the Cons ran was stupid. Why would a 29 yr old man vote for Wynne, well if he was from the LGBT community he sure would vote for Wynne. If he had daughters he sure would vote for Wynne. There are all sorts of reasons to vote for Wynne and not vote for Doug. The Ontario Liberals just need people let Dougie know why they wont vote for him. The Cons have demonstrated their lack of understanding of discrimination. I'd suggest the ad was sexists, discriminatory on the basis of age and sexual orientation. We can move on from there. If the people of Ontario want to vote for Dougie, they will find they want to learn French and move next door. The rest can move to Man. '
Voters in Ontario might want to have a look south of the border to see how well it turned out when they voted for an idiot sexist racist man.

If Doug and Don only had the support of senile old white men, they wouldn't have got as far as they did. Don't forget that Don was the preferred candidate of BOTH white men and white women! As Hillary found out, a white woman can't count on her sisters for support. I suspect Kathleen's going to get knifed by them too.
