Peter MacKay's Sad Spiral Into Sexist Idiocy
I've always had trouble trying to figure out Peter Dumbo MacKay's exact place in the Con universe.
He used to strike me as more of a happy idiot, than a hollow eyed member of the Harperite cult.
The kind of guy who would cheerfully borrow a government aircraft to go fishing.
Or borrow the neighbour's dog to try to make Belinda Stronach feel guilty about dumping him...
Even though that WAS unforgivable. Woof !!! Woof !!!
But lately Dumbo has been undergoing an alarming transformation.
And morphing from a useful idiot into yet another brutish Con...
Trying to convince us that his so-called cyberbullying bill is about cracking down on bullies, instead of about making it easier for the Cons to spy on us.
Teaming up with his depraved leader to smear the Chief Justice. Endangering the lives of sex workers.
Or trying to jail even more young people for the "crime" of smoking marijuana.
Even though, as we know, he's no role model...
He's the poster boy for binge drinking.
So strangely enough it's almost a relief to report, that although he's increasingly dangerous, he is still an idiot.
Justice Minister Peter MacKay seems to be standing by his comments that the reason there are so few women appointed as judges is that too few apply. At an event with the Ontario Bar Association last week, MacKay is reported to have backed up his statement by explaining that women have a closer bond to their children than men, and therefore the path to the bench is too demanding for them.
Who would claim that women are responsible for discriminating against themselves.
While conveniently forgetting to mention that the Cons had an excellent female candidate on their short list for the Supreme Court, Justice Marie-France Bich...
But went to extraordinary lengths to reject her.
The most impressive candidate from the Court of Appeal was Justice Marie-France Bich, a former law professor, who was valued for her strong judgments and her streak of independent thinking.
The strategists at PMO/Justice could not ignore Judge Bich. They put her on their long list, but made possible for Harper not to appoint her by loading their long list with the names of no fewer than four members of the Ottawa-based, government-friendly Federal Court of Canada.
Judge Bich made it to the short list, along with two judges from the Federal Court of Appeal. One of them was Justice Marc Nadon, an expert in maritime law. Although the prime minister is not obligated to choose from the short list, convention dictates that he should. He bypassed Judge Bich to choose the semi-retired Judge Nadon.
Because even though she was the consensus candidate of the Quebec legal community, she wasn't conservative enough for them.
Which only makes Dumbo MacKay's arguments even dumber or more disgracefully sexist.
Makes him look like he's living in another era...
And is after all just another hollow eyed member of the foul Con cult.
Where Big Daddy knows best...
And is always treating women differently, or as less equal than men.
And all I can say is, I live for the day when we can bounce this ungodly gang of good ol' boys out of power.
And out of the 21st Century.
Defeat them and their depraved leader.
And send them all back to the time and the place where they rightfully belong...

Justin Trudeau says something intelligent and then taken out of context its a "bozo eruption" Peter McKay says something bozo and the main stream paddles desperately to make it in context.
And yet we will be utterly amazed at the number of women voters who will cast their ballots for him, AGAIN!
And Asians whom he detests except for cheap/slave labor.
And Blacks and we won't even go there . . .
And Brown-skins who, as every good conservative knows, are all "terrists"
"Stupid is as stupid does."
Problem is? Harper and his Cons literally, get away with out and out crimes. Wright did aid, abet, cover-up and paid the bill for a Senator, who was stealing our tax dollars. The PMO also sanitized Sanitized Senators expense claims. Harper uses our tax dollars for bogus ads on, the billboard of Hockey Night in Canada. Now Harper and his henchmen are after Mulcair to pay back what they Cons say he thieved. Scheer to me is just another one of Harper's smarmy creeps.
It will be just fine for what MacKay said, he too is a Harper creep. MacKay spent over $3 million on travel expenses when, he was Minister of Defense. However, Harper's Ministers have no self respect nor ethics, when they support a monster such as he.
so now he has morphed........ its like the old saying goes, "lie down with dogs, get up with fleas".
I do next expect any females to be appointed by the cons to the bench. It isn't in their DNA, the cons that is. of course con dna is some sort of throw back to some other era.
Mackay's recent comments certainly do explain both his and Harper's comments/reaction to the July 2013 phone call from the Chief Justice.

Why hasn't Harper kicked Butt's butt and at least kicked him out of the Con party? Did Butt preview what he was going to say in the House with Harper or anyone in the PMO?
Even the Speaker found Butt's remarks prima facie grounds of breach of parliamentary privilege.
On Feb. 6, Butt said in the House: "I have actually witnessed other people picking up the voter cards, going to the campaign office of whatever candidate they support and handing out these voter cards to other individuals, who then walk into voting stations with friends who vouch for them with no ID."
Eighteen days later (Feb. 24) Butt told the House that his Feb. 6 statement was "not accurate".
On March 5, Thomas Mulcair asked: "Does the Prime Minister think it is okay for his MPs to present fabricated evidence in Parliament as long as they admit it after they get caught?"
Harper's reply: "Mr. Speaker, the member in question, as you know very well, voluntarily apologized. He, at his own initiative, brought this to light in the House of Commons and corrected the record, and he is to be commended for doing so."
Michael Harris observes in his Mar. 9 column for iPoltics.ca: "Stephen Harper is also a man who tells the truth in instalments. The prime minister even said Butt should be praised for correcting the record voluntarily. Evangelical caucus members take note. Harper has amended the Ten Commandments. Number nine now reads, 'You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour, without belated retractions when caught out.'"

I do not question Con men any longer re: their behaviour and world-view.
Their women however...
