Donald Trump's Hellish Day On the Campaign Trail
As you may know Donald Trump has been trying to reach out to to African American voters, by visiting black churches and asking one wacko preacher after the other to bless him.
But it doesn't seem to be working, with his support still mired in the single digits and falling...
And his visit to a black church in Cleveland yesterday can only drive that support down further.
Because it began weirdly, and ended disastrously.
For first came the blessing, with the pro-Trump pastor Darrell Scott asking the good Godzilla to protect him from a "concentrated Satanic attack."
Scott, who hosted the event at his New Spirit Revival Center, told the audience that a “nationally known” preacher warned Trump before he launched his campaign “that if you choose to run for president, there’s going to be a concentrated Satanic attack against you.”
“He said there’s going to be a demon, principalities and powers, that are going to war against you on a level that you’ve never seen before and I’m watching it every day,” Scott said.
And then came the sleazy boxing promoter, and convicted felon Don King...
Dropping the N-word.
"If you're poor, you are a poor negro -- I would use the n-word -- but if you're rich, you are a rich negro. If you are intelligent, intellectual, you are intellectual negro. If you are a dancing and sliding and gliding n***** -- I mean negro -- you are a dancing and sliding and gliding negro," King said, laughing along with the crowd after the slip-up. "You're going to be a negro 'til you die."
And then laughing, while Trump smirked and squirmed.
No doubt for good reason...
And as if that wasn't bad enough, later at another event Trump called for police to be given more power to stop and frisk black people.
Mr. Trump described his enthusiasm for stop-and-frisk during a town hall-style discussion, also in Cleveland Heights, after a voter pressed him on how he would reduce violence in black communities. “One of the things I’d do,” he said, “is I would do stop-and-frisk. I think you have to. We did it in New York, it worked incredibly well and you have to be proactive.”
Which may have earned him a round of applause from the largely white audience, and his many neo-nazi supporters.
But will almost certainly reduce his share of the African American vote down to about two per cent, where it was when the campaign started.
For black voters aren't fools, and they know a ghastly racist when they see one...
And along with so many others will on election day I'm sure.
Send Trump and his Trumplings back to the hellish place they came from...
