David Suzuki: Stephen Harper Should Be Jailed

As you know I've long believed that Stephen Harper has got away with murder, and should be put on trial for his many crimes against Canada.

And for his crimes against the planet.

So I'm really happy to see that David Suzuki also believes that Harper should be jailed

David Suzuki thinks inaction on climate change is serious enough to land you in jail — and he'd like to see former prime minister Stephen Harper behind bars.

"I really believe that people like the former prime minister of Canada should be thrown in jail for wilful blindness," he told reporter Andrew Street.

And of course he's right, for what greater crime can there be than threatening human survival?

For crass political reasons, and short term greed.

And since all we know that Great Law and Order Leader always believed that if you do the crime you should do the time...

And since the grunting climate change denier Lorrie Goldstein is outraged.

At age 79, David Suzuki has taken to referring to himself as an “elder” these days, so it would be nice if he stopped acting like a child.

And would rather jail Justin Trudeau.

We know that Suzuki is definitely on the right track. It is a moral issue not an economic issue.

And since Trudeau did stop Harper...

If there was any justice Stephen Harper would be put on trial...

But even if he isn't history will be his judge.

Its verdict will be a harsh one.

And the man who tried to wreck our beautiful country, and burn our precious planet.

Will eventually end up in the place he belongs...

94. "The House of Commons passed Bruce Hyer’s bill [Climate Change Accountability Act]. When it went to the Senate, I instructed the Conservative senators to kill it. I'm proud to say this was the first time in Canadian history that appointed senators killed a bill without a single day of study in the Senate!"

Harper is not the only one. Even so, as luck would have it, the beast actually did nothing substantive, having built no pipelines to any port and keeping the tarsands mostly and safely in the ground. Will the beautiful Trudeau keep it that way, or will he be the one to make the pipeline dreams of oil execs a reality? I tend to believe this will happen and that Trudeau shall surpass Harper as an arch climate change obstructionist.

The whole lot of the climate change deniers really should be jailed. The lot of them. From the policy deniers to the journos who lied to the lobbyists and scientists who took big coal/big oil/big energy money.

As I said before if it were possible then sentenced to live on a disappearing South Pacific Atoll and explain it to the upset islanders why the melting ice caps have nothing to do with why the water is rising.

hi David....yes, the man is a climate change criminal, the one who finished off Kyoto, and tried to block every green initiative in this country, by muzzling scientists and trying to keep us in the dark. And it really bothers me that climate change hardly being mentioned in the frenzied debate over a pipeline which will do practically nothing to help our economy. It's absolute insanity. Ad there will be a day of reckoning...

Hi Steve...yes I know it will be hard to get Harper into the jail cell where he belongs. But as I said the verdict of history will be a harsh one....

hi anon...who knows where this pipeline debate will go. With the economy in the state it is, and Albertans in a frenzy and even threatening separation, it will be hard for Trudeau to resist this oily fever. However, he has called for a scientific review, and hopefully that will allow Canadians to make up their minds in a more educated way. My position is that we should keep as much of that oily guck in the ground for as long as possible, but many Canadians are very worried about the state of the economy, so I can't say I'm optimistic...

hi Hugh...yes I see that Scott Reid is up to his teabagger games again. The idea of a Con accusing others or rigging an election is beyond belief. But that seems to be their new tactic, accuse the Liberals of being guilty of all the things the Cons have come to represent. They really must think we're fools...

hi Dan...yesterday it was 15 degrees in the place where I live. There isn't a flake of snow to be seen, and not an ice cube in the lake. So the evidence is impossible to ignore, but those oil pimps keep racing along as if nothing was happening. It is a rush to madness, and at some point reality will catch up to them, and there will be a price to pay...
