Lordy. And to think I didn't take Stephen Harper seriously when he claimed he was leading the fight to "liberate" Ukraine.
Who knew that he actually helped bring down a duly elected government?
For crass political purposes.
Or as others might say, was used as a hapless pawn.
As you know, the thought that Jason Kenney is our Defence Minister, sometimes keeps me awake at night. Or makes me wake up screaming.
Because I fear that absurd chicken hawk might use his big mouth, and appalling judgement, to make the dangerous situation in Ukraine even more dangerous.
And lead us cheerfully into the Third World War, or what religious fanatics like him call The Rapture.
So I'm glad to report that Kenney is now deflating his own balloon.
As you know Stephen Harper is leading the charge against the Russians in Ukraine, with his big mouth.
In relentless pursuit of the ethnic vote.
And to try to distract Canadians from all the other enemies he'd rather not face...
David Parkins/Globe and Mail
But if he is posing as a freedom fighter, why is he forcing our military to train neo-Nazis?
Oh no. Somebody do something. Jason Kenney is in trouble, again.
He's supposed to be terrorizing the Russians.
Canada will deploy approximately 200 troops to Ukraine to train local forces fighting Russian-backed separatists, the government announced Tuesday.
But instead he's terrorizing OUR side.
Because nobody at National Defence Headquarters knows what he's going to tweet next!!!
Well I see Great Chicken Hawk Leader is on his way to the NATO summit. With a strong message for his friends AND enemies.
"NATO I'm a raging bull not a piggybank. !!!!!"
"Putin gimme me the ethnic vote or ELSE. !#@!!! "
And the best one eh?
"ISIS you will not stop me from bribing Canadian voters !!!!!!"
Well as you know, no world leader has screamed as loudly about the crisis in Ukraine as has Stephen Harper.
If words were weapons the Russians would have surrendered by now.
But now NATO is demanding that he put his money where his mouth or his snout is.
And the chicken hawk has been plucked.
As the Ukraine crisis continues to escalate, and so does the warlike rhetoric in Europe.
"It is the fact that Russia is in a war state against Ukraine. That means it is in a state of war against a country which would like to be closely integrated with the EU. Practically Russia is in a state of war against Europe."
I'm glad to see that Obama and others in the U.S. are pointing out, that if you want to avoid escalating the situation further, and avoid a potentially catastrophic superpower confrontation.
It's vitally important that you measure your words.
The situation in Ukraine couldn't be more ominous, with reports that some Russian troops have crossed into that country.
World leaders like Obama are calling for calm, refusing to call it an invasion, and ruling out military action.
The need for cooler heads to prevail has never been more urgent.
So what is our ghastly Con Foreign Minister John Baird doing?
Answer: blowing hot air out of every orifice, and fanning the flames of war.
Well as you know Stephen Harper has been posing as a Great Warrior Leader ever since the Ukraine crisis began.
In relentless pursuit of the ethnic vote, he has tried to make it appear like he is leading the charge against the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
By blowing enough hot air in his direction the fascist dwarf must have had to put rocks in his pockets to keep from from being blown through the air.
Or not...
As I mentioned in my last post, Stephen Harper has been making a complete fool out of himself with his latest war of words with Vladimir Putin.
But at least he is getting some strong words of encouragement from his devoted friend Tony Abbott.
Prime Minister Tony Abbott has called Russia a "bully" and demanded it stops "interfering" in Ukraine.
Mr Abbott's strongest comments on Russia to date came while he was in Ottawa, and followed Canadian prime minister Stephen Harper's criticisms of president Vladimir Putin.
Because as we know, Harper is no bully. He's a Great Warrior Leader. Even if his bluster doesn't pass muster.
OMG. Duck and cover. He's back in Ukraine again, posing as a champion of freedom and democracy.
While crushing them both at home.
And of course, in relentless pursuit of the ethnic vote, trying to make it sound like he's leading the charge against the fascist dwarf Putin.
Even if it makes him look ridiculous.
Well I suppose it was inevitable. He would pose as a Great Warrior Leader, and promote democracy in Ukraine, if not in Canada.
He would beat his tiny furry chest, send troops, planes, and ships to the region, and talk tough to the sinister dwarf Vladimir Putin.
In relentless pursuit of the ethnic vote.
Only to see his grand plan to bring Putin to his knees, with a barrage of "crippling sanctions" to be fired out of every orifice, exposed as a hollow farce.
Well there he was in Ukraine, posing as a champion of democracy, in relentless pursuit of the ethnic vote.
Or a Great Warrior Leader.
Blasting Con propaganda out of every orifice.
Or a dangerous chicken hawk.
Someone recently compared the Ukrainian crisis to the beginning of the First World War.
Where new alliances, old hatreds, and excessive nationalism created an explosive mixture until one act of senseless violence set the whole thing off.
And this couldn't be a more a dangerous showdown.
So needless to say I'm not happy to see that Stephen Harper is still planning to visit Ukraine.
Still threatening to inflame the situation.
You'd think Stephen Harper would know better than to visit Ukraine a few days after Crimea votes to separate, as it almost certainly will on Sunday.
And the last thing the world needs is some foreign leader inflaming what will almost certainly be a dangerous situation.
But no, he's going.
It's hard to imagine a scarier situation than the threat of a superpower confrontation in the Crimean peninsula.
The Obama administration said Monday that any Russian threat to Ukraine's navy would be a "dangerous escalation" of an extremely tense situation.
The State Department said that Washington would hold Moscow directly accountable for such an escalation but did not elaborate on potential consequences.
Or a scarier sight than the old Cold War warrior John McCain, banging his tin drum for war with Russia.
If the crisis in Ukraine wasn't so ominous, the sight of the Harper Cons mobilizing for war would be absolutely hilarious.
Stephen Harper sucking in his gut, puffing out his chest, inflating his propaganda balloon, talking tough to the fascist dwarf Vladimir Putin.
Ominous developments in Ukraine have prompted Prime Minister Stephen Harper to strongly condemn Russian military intervention in the country while urging President Vladimir Putin to withdraw his troops immediately.
John Baird going the extra mile to win the Ukrainian-Canadian vote...
Oh boy. I guess it's because we are winter. And this one has gone on for too long.
For what else could explain the grotesque sight of the ratty Chris Alexander, scurrying out of his PMO briefing.
To accuse Justin Trudeau of being a dangerous communist.
