Donald Trump and the Baby Trump Balloon

When I was in Scotland last summer, I was thrilled to be able to witness Baby Trump rise the into the sky at a protest in an Edinburgh park.

Trump wasn't in Edinburgh, he didn't dare leave his tacky Turnberry golf course on the country's west coast.

But I still enjoyed seeing the famous blimp up close, and I laughed so much I almost turned orange myself.

So I was glad to see it being inflated in London other day, just in time to welcome Trump back to Britain.

Especially since I read that he REALLY hates it.

So needless to say,  I was shocked to see a deranged Trump supporter stab the baby blimp.

And the good news?

Baby Trump is OK, the deranged Trumpling also stabbed herself.

And even if Baby had gone down, King Trump on his golden throne would have rushed in to replace him.

Now if only we could flush him.

Although after reading this tweet Trump fired off early this morning, we may not need to do anything:

For he is clearly losing touch with reality...

You know I think the New York Times summed up the situation well.

Once Trump was able to shock people, but now he's just pathetic.

It may come as something of a relief that Mr. Trump’s behavior is increasingly familiar to America’s allies, and so not cause for scandal. But there is nothing to celebrate when mockery of the American president in a friendly capital has become the new normal.

So if Baby Trump can keep up the pressure...

And the Orange Oaf finally realizes people aren't cheering him, they're laughing at him.

Who knows what might happen...

You know, it occurs to me, there's one more way to get plenty of mileage out of the Baby Trump Balloon: Imagine it as his thought bubble every time he speaks. LOL

The whole world has gone mad. Scheer is Canada's version of BoJo the Clown. Love him or hate him, Justin Trudeau would never disrespect a member of the British Royal Family like Trump did. Or attempt to link a Muslim mayor to "terrorism." I can't believe it's been almost 75 years since we fought the Nazis only to see them rear their ugly heads and expel their noxious fumes again. Talk about "inflated" egos!

It was just plain sad to see a once great proud nation grovel at the feet of the singularly most unqualified individual ever to hold the presidency in the hopes of forging a favourable trade agreement now that the UK has shot themselves in the head with Brexit. The EU must have been laughing their asses off. The total humiliation of the UK, May, and the Conservative party is now complete.

When I think of what our betters fought and died for on that day, in that War; or survived as walking wounded, I feel the tragedy of this visit for them, reflected on us. That even our commemoration of it has become a farce.
That this Pretender and his progeny & garbage entourage spent a millisecond among the Royals and occupied their Royal space, and SPOKE at the launching site of that which he knows nothing and appreciates nothing, is an utter disgrace.

Off topic: Not the baby blimp, but,
still political.
Just now saw the CBC interview him and the thought strikes me again, as it does every time, that Ralph Goodale is a Good Man. One of the good things the Liberal party has going for it.
So much of this would seem to still be true of him:

But the goverment has been centrist of twits some immortalized like Churchill.

Fuck Trump

Ralph is a good man, a veteran of the political circus who I'm sure has seen it all. He's one of my favorites on the team along with Freeland, McKenna, Khalid and Hussen. The Liberals, after all, are the adults in the room, led of course by the beleaguered schoolteacher who always gets a "kick me" sign taped to his back and a thumb tack stuck to his chair. Having to corral the juvenile delinquents in detention must be exhausting for them and I feel so bad. They can only dream of ever having a fraction of the Grit (the apt nickname for the Liberals) and decency as someone like Ralph.

On that note, I just read Dale Smith's latest from today's Routine Proceedings where he writes about the Cons' insufferable and hypocritical whining about "Trudeau's fake feminism." You can read my reply in the comments below the article. They're baby blimps in their own right, wailing brats full of hot air. They're also explosive Hindenburgs whose only direction in mind is to set fire to everything they don't like. Oh, the humanity...

"Immortalized like Churchill" as he should be.
Winston Churchill is my quintessential hero, as he was my father's before me.
I was born after WW2 and his finest--darkest Hour--but I still hold onto my father's passionate and stirring reminiscences of that desperate time, and Churchill's critical inspiring place in it. Without Churchill History wouldn't be worth imagining; that's how pivotal he was.
Just as his stirring speeches rallied Britain against the Nazi menace, against all odds, they stirred in my deathly-ill father--refugee from Hitler's Europe, hospitalized with TB--the will and strength to live.

The baby blimp is full of hot air and the adult blimp is full of shit. What a spectacle it was to see the royals and government host this pathetic excuse of a president. Add to that the D-Day anniversary commemorations amid the presence of a draft dodging hate monger and I'm literally shaking my head in disbelief. Shame on you Britain for appeasing Trump's massively bloated ego. It all seems so very 1938.

Trumps MO never changes, his attempts to lever association with the royals dates back to lady Di and fake news about ownership of a suite in Trump tower. The only difference between his formerly private and now public entrepreneurial adventures is the magnitude so the fallout will be a real doozy when he is forced to walk and declares bankruptcy. It will certainly burn more than hundreds of hapless investors but of course someone else will have to shoulder the blame as they try and repair the incalculable damage this idiot is unleashing in the world. GWB on steroids!

OT but speaking of bloated blimps and Hindenburgs -- Oh, Chantal, your keyboard and Simon's to St. Pierre's ears...

https://www.thestar.com/politics/political-opinion/2019/06/06/doug-fords-unpopularity-is-andrew-scheers-problem.html

Doug Ford's unpopularity is Andrew Scheer's problem

The Ontario premier is three years away from an election, an eternity in politics. But time is running out before his federal ally faces voters and a potential backlash against some of Ford’s policies.

While Conservative party fortunes have risen in the national pre-election polls over the first half of this year, Ontario has been significantly slower to jump on the bandwagon than, for instance, Atlantic Canada.

With the Conservatives lagging far behind the Liberals in Quebec, Scheer needs a strong showing in Ontario if he is going to lead his party to government in October.

The Conservative leader may be one of the first to scare more voters than he attracts by promising to deliver a federal government more aligned with the premiers.

These days, more than a few Canadians — particularly but not exclusively in Ontario — find the prospect of electing a prime minister liable to walk in lockstep with Ford more disquieting than reassuring.

Please let this 239-pound orange wrecking ball be the weighted albatross that sinks the S.S. Schmeer in Red October...

HI brawnfire....you mean use the balloon as a thought bubble for Trump? Oh I don't know if I could do that. Ever since I saw the baby blimp up close in Edinburgh I fell head over heels in love with it i.e. I ended up on the grass laughing. So I would hate to make Trump look like an intellectual, or worse make the balloon look bad. On the other hand if I could attach a little basket to the balloon and put a tiny Trump in it that might work...

Hi Jackie...Yes you're right, the world has gone mad. A few weeks ago that got me down for a while, until Seb threatened to tickle me to death unless I cheered up. Whereupon I realized that the world is only crazy because the Cons make it that way so they can try to demoralize us or make people think nothing can be done to make things better. We will show them how wrong they are...

Hi anon...It is sad to see the Brits grovelling before Trump hoping for a favourable trade agreement, even if that means screwing with the NHS. The Cons are in such a state it would be hilarious if they hadn't hurt so many people. But my consolation is that they are only paving the way for Scottish independence...

Simon said...

Hi Brawnfire...Goodale is a good man and a rock solid minister. We could do with a few more like him for he has the experience to deal with the Cons. And never lets them rattle him...

Simon said...

Hi Jackie....I'm glad you read Dale Smith's column, for it's a cut above most of the stuff out there. And I really liked your comment. Justin Trudeau is a victim of a kind of misogyny caused by his support for women's rights and gay rights. I'm surprised others haven't pick d up,on this. I retweeted a story by Susan Delacourt today where she says Trudeau is risking his political life by doubling down on his support for feminism. I think I'll write a post about it later..

Hi Steve...Churchill was not perfect, far from it. But as Brawnfire says, he inspired the British people to keep up n fighting during their darkest hour. And that even though he was afflicted by devastating depression that sometimes made it almost impossible for him to get out of bed. We like our heroes to be perfect these days, but that's not the way most human heroes work...

Hi JD...I know what a hideous combination, Trump in the U.K and the 75th anniversary of D -day. As a cartoonist in the U.S said, Trump seemed to think the D in D-Day stood for him. But the good news is he is now a figure of fun, he is so much less than what he was, and so are Cons like Ford. They are falling out of the sky, and when they are done they will be gone forever...

Someone told Dougie he needs to go on an extended holiday until after the election. The Thug claims that they have been so efficient that the legislature can take an extended break but the real reason is out of sight out of mind. Talk about a coordinated hit job... the biggest Con liability is going on vacation!

Hi RT...In the end Trump will be remembered as a lowlife grifter who went for the presidency for all the wrong reasons, was elected for all the wrong reasons, and ended up out of office being pursued for financial corruption. As it was in the beginning so will it be in the end. I'm not a big fan of the royal family, but I must say the Queen made Trump look like her American butler. And I can only imagine what she really thinks of him. My Mum who is the Queen of our clan has given strict instructions that he should never under any circumstances be allowed on one of our properties which is far too close to Trump's Aberdeenshire golf course. I suspect the real Queen would love to be able to issue and order like that one...

Simon said...

Hi Jackie...yes,, I saw that and although I have predicted that was going to happen I may have to write another post about that happy development...😎

Simon said...

Hi RT....That vacation story is going to make things worse for both Ford and Scheer . I get the feeling things are unravelling. Let's hope I'm right and that we can finally get down to work burying the Cons forever....
