The Con Convention and the Rapture of Jason Kenney

Lordy. Judging by the reaction of the Cons and their stooges in the media, you'd think the Harper Party's convention was such a great success they had all died and gone to heaven.

Or more precisely had risen from the dead, and were now on their way to another heavenly majority.

You know, the Con version of The Rapture.

For what else could explain Jason Kenney's feverish state?

Don't Be Fooled the Cons Are Still the Bigot Party

I see the Cons are trying to make us believe that dropping their long held opposition to same-sex marriage means that they are now a new/nouveau party.

The Conservative Party gave itself a makeover, donning a more moderate and modern face as grassroots members voted overwhelmingly to ditch the traditional definition of marriage from the party’s policy book.

But let nobody be fooled, because I watched the same-sex debate.

And what I saw couldn't be more horrifying.

The Day Rona Ambrose Called Justin Trudeau a Woman

It was a bizarre apparition. At the Con convention yesterday during a discussion on how to modernize the Harper Party, MP Marilyn Gladu came out dressed as the Grim Reaper.

In what was apparently an attempt to make fun of the idea that the Cons are doomed after losing the last election.

But as it turns out maybe Gladu did choose the right costume. And the right words.

Because today the loser party will discuss same-sex marriage.

The Con Convention and the Foul Legacy of Stephen Harper

It was as ghastly as I had imagined. The tacky tribute video looked as if it had been put together by the same Cons who brought us the Porky Action Plan.

But it did bring back horrible memories of the way Stephen Harper loomed over us for so long, trying to brainwash us into submission.

While he brutalized this country, its democracy, and its values, over and over again.

But still won't admit it.

Stephen Harper and the Last Horror Show

They say Stephen Harper's speech to the Con Convention in Vancouver this evening is going to be short and sweet.

A final farewell to the party he created in his own ghastly image.

And that it will be preceded by a lavish video from the Con Ministry of Porky Propaganda and Disinformation, praising him as a Great Leader.

Are the Cons About To Tear Themselves Apart?

After more than six months of self imposed silence, Canadians are about to hear from Stephen Harper again.

When in three days time he delivers a speech to the Con Convention.

But if he is expecting to be greeted with cries of "Steve we miss you." Or "save us Great Leader."

He may be rudely disappointed.

Will the Gay Marriage Issue Tear the Cons apart?

For almost ten years Stephen Harper never ceased to show his contempt for gay Canadians.

He voted against every gay rights bill that came before parliament. He cut off funding to all LGBT groups.

And he never changed the party platform that calls for same sex marriage to be banned.

But now with their convention only weeks away, that issue may be coming back to haunt the Cons.

The Harper Cons: The Scandal and the Incompetence

Well I see the Con Convention is over, and so are Stephen Harper's plans to reboot or revive his tired corrupt Con regime.

He did everything to please his rabid base. He promised them they could grope the rights of women, and preach that gay people should be murdered without being accused of discrimination. He turned the party into a CULT.

But even that depraved and scary cockroach gathering couldn't make that sordid old Senate scandal go away eh?

It just made it WORSE.

Stephen Harper and the Day of the Wingnuts

Uh oh. It looks like the Con convention has ended on a nightmare note for Stephen Harper.

I warned him not inflame his Con base, and above all not to WATER them

But he didn't listen. He whipped them into a foaming frenzy with his ghastly keynote speech.

And now the wingnuts are running WILD !!!!

Stephen Harper and the Men in Black

Well his convention speech was a total bust, a parody of a parody of an empty cliché as Andrew Coyne called it.

Or a deranged quasi-fascist rant that only his rabid base could love, as I did.

But that didn't stop Great Desperate Leader from slipping into a black shirt shortly afterwards, and serenading the faithful at the Cowboy Cabaret.

Stephen Harper's Monstrous Convention Speech

It was without a doubt one of the worst and most disgusting political speeches I have ever heard. One so foul it left me feeling sick to my stomach. And more fearful than ever about the future of our country.

A speech that could have been delivered at a teabagger convention in Alabama, or at the point when Stephen Harper attacked the courts, a beer garden in Nuremberg.

But was delivered to a wildly cheering mob, the pathetic descendants of the once proud Conservative Party, in a Cow Palace in Calgary.

Stephen Harper and the Zombie Convention

Only his fluffers in the PMO know the Cowboy Emperor's state of mind tonight. Those who dare to approach him.

But he must be a scary sight. His elaborate plans to reboot his corrupt old government, and soften his image, are lying like the ruins of Rome... or Pompeii... around him.

The Con regime is in chaos, he's never looked more vindictive or more desperate, or just plain KRAZY.

And now his latest plan to make himself look good, by executing three Senators  without due process, and delivering their shrunken heads to the Con Convention, is being threatened by an outbreak of LENIENCY !!!!

The Great Con Halloween Drag Show

OMG. This is HUGE.

It's the Party of the Year !!!!

The Cons are going to hold their convention, and unveil their new look, on
HALLOWEEN !!!!!

The Conservative Party's national policy convention has been rescheduled to Oct. 31, according to party president John Walsh, who issued a written statement on Friday.

But although I LOVE Halloween parties, I fear this one may be a BUST.
