Stephen Harper's Kinky Attack on Justin Trudeau

We knew that he is the most grotesque political pervert this country has ever seen.

The ringleader of the RepubliCon raincoat brigade who brought American-style attack ads to Canada.

We knew he couldn't wait to screw Justin Trudeau. Because he's so jealous of him, so frightened of him, so DESPERATE.

But did Great Kinky Leader really have to whip out his dirty thing, so publicly, and so soon?

Because don't be fooled by its sparkly appearance, or the phone-sex voice, or the teenage girl's handwriting at the end. This is a foul piece of political pornography, loaded with subliminal messages of the lowest kind.

I'll have more to say about its sinister political purpose tomorrow. But tonight I just want to ask the pornographer in chief these questions:

Did he really have to grope the truth by distorting Trudeau's words?

Team Tory provides what it says is the “full context of the quotation”: “Quebecers are better than the rest of Canada because, you know, we’re Quebecers or whatever. A lot more of us are bilingual, bicultural, a lot more awareness of the rest."

Not quite. Justin Trudeau was describing his father’s beliefs, not his own, as they pertained to separatists and their demands for special treatment.

Is he really giving the separatists a full body massage? Or does lying all the time induce in him a state of permanent arousal?

Did he really fondle the footage? After stealing it.

The video clip was taken from The Huffington Post Canada without permission. (HuffPost is making its concerns known to the Conservative Party.) The Tories slowed the footage down, added carnival-like music and colour corrected in the new spot, which attacks Trudeau’s judgment and statements dating back to 1999.

Like his Con gang stole the election.

Did he really suggest that Justin is a girly man?

When he beat the crap out of his sleazy pal Brazeau...

Oh boy. Did he ever. KAPOW !@#!!

And why does Harper hate drama teachers? Or his clammy ad make it sound like they're GAY?

The nasty creepy BIGOT.

Or for that matter, why does he hate people with liver disease?

Why is he demeaning the excellent work of the Canadian Liver Foundation?

Where is his JUDGEMENT ???

Is it because the only real job he ever had was working for his daddy in the mailroom of Imperial Oil? Are all the voices in his head screaming at the same time? Or did he lose his judgement, or his marbles, where the sun don't shine?

Which reminds me...

Could HE raise money for charity?

By taking off HIS clothes?

Hmmm...I don't think so. Nah.

He'd have to PAY people to watch him. Or handcuff them to their seats. And MUZZLE their screams.

But he sure did expose himself today.

Reveal the man behind the curtain raincoat. In all his grubby glory.

Because let's be deadly serious eh? If we allow those sleazy bully Cons to debase our politics with that kind of political pornography, or accept that kind of American filth, we will be buried in it. Or roll in it like hogs.

For the sake of decency. For the sake of Canada.

Remove this kinky political pervert from office.

Before he corrupts us further...

And of course, in case you hadn't guessed eh?

This is my message to ALL progressives.

When the bullies attack you.

Give them a taste of their own medicine...

Camp councilor, whitewater raft instructor, drama teacher and wait its endless and even a danceathon . Impressive . No doubt. But I'll stick with my NDP.

hi anonymous...let me be absolutely clear. I'm not denouncing the Cons because I support the Liberals. I'm to the left of the NDP and have always voted for it.I'm denouncing the Cons, because they are debasing our political culture, and are the foulest bullies I have ever seen. But I'll tell you one thing. If some in NDP are hoping the Cons will do their work for them, and secretly cheering them on. I won't be voting for the NDP again. And those who don't denounce this American-style political pornography should be ashamed of themselves...

From what I'm seeing now, Mulcair is taking the NDP to the centre-right as we speak (as predicted, mind you) and if they want my vote again, they better get their shit together. "Anybody but harper" is the new "in" bumper sticker, you know. But it doesn't include a new version of harper-lite. Removed the word "socialist" from their constitution?
That's where the NDP and I will part company, if that's the case. I will vote for Trudeau if only to help secure the ouster of that fucking jerk-off harper and his criminal cabal. The bush crime family would be happy to offer him a cushy overpaid, underworked position in 'murka. He'd fit right in with the other cross-dressing sociopaths there.

Hi Simon,

This is only the beginning. I am saddened by the state of affairs and am hopeful that the tide can be turned but the real truth is that the Conservatives use this type of advertising because it works. It tells their base exactly what they believe is true. I'm an NDP riding president in a strong Conservative riding and I talk politics with people all the time and am a political commentator on a local federal political affairs program. Two months ago, support for the Conservative party was dwindling even among loyal Conservatives because of overused talking points, corruption and electoral fraud. I can't believe how solidified conservative supporters I have talked to have become in the last 48 hours, they are preparing for war.

I don't think that the NDP would stoop to this kind of rhetoric, but being silent and letting the Cons do the work of self-destroying is IMHO, just good politics..if the worst of the worst is shooting themselves in the foot, why take the gun away?
There's another old adage that applies here, to the NDP getting (or not getting) involved..keep it simple, stupid..if the Cons are stupid enough to soil themselves with their own feces, no point in handing them a diaper...

That would be great if it worked. In recent political history - in just about every single case and scenario that these type of attack ads have been used, the perpetrators have won the war. To suggest letting them "shoot themselves in the foot" or "taking the high road" is concomitant to defeat. To think differently is very 19th century and naive to say the least. The u.s. rethuglicans and the Canadian cons have proved repeatedly that if you repeat a lie, no matter how egregious it is, enough times, the vast majority of a nation's sheeple will believe it and follow along blindly and never question it. Look at our last elections and what has become s.o.p. in the u.s. if you think I'm wrong.
If we don't wise up quickly, harper and his jack-booted minions will run this country for a hell of a long time to come.

Agree with everything you say, but still wouldn't vote for Trudeau "just because..."
Probably wont' vote at all..which is sad, I hate it when people don't vote, but sometimes it's your only option..if there was a viable write-in candidate, I would do that, instead of 'none of the above'
I really wish that people would quit sashaying out the Greens as a viable alternative..when you look at May's voting record, she usually votes with Harper! No surprise, since the Greens started with a bunch of disaffected Cons..now full of sincere younger people who are one issue voters...*sigh*

Justin and/or his advisors are very naïve if they think that Canadians will not fall for their negative ads about him. These ads are really aimed at the voters who are not well informed, and disengaged, since Harper needs to fool only about 5-10% of them (he already has a solid base of 30% who will never vote for another party). In other words, the same set of voters he was able to persuade that forming a coalition is illegitimate in our electoral system (and helped by the fact that there was no response from Iggy because he was convinced that Canadians would be smarter than that).

Just talked to a Conservative voter. He was livid about what Justin had supposedly said about Quebecers. When I pointed out to him that the ad had misrepresented the situation, and that many papers had already pointed out that out, he was shocked. He admitted that he thought from the ad that they were Justin's words because he had seen the ad. Case closed.

I don't think their attack ads worked very well, they just made me have a laugh attack and like Justin Trudeau more. But still, our favourite PM's gotta be pretty desperate to release something like this.

hi anonymous...You're absolutely right when you say this ad is really aimed at their base. And the Cons are in fact using it to collect more money for their War Machine. And I did say in the post that it contains subliminal messages that act as dog whistles for that base. But I don't think it will work as well as the others did, because for an ad to work you have to trust those who made it, and by now most Canadians don't trust the Cons as far as they can spit. So don't lose heart, the forces of history are working in our favour. And if they want a war we shall give them a good one...

Simon said...

hi lefty...maybe it is good politics, but you know I still think the NDP should denounce those ads for it won't hurt them with those who waver between the Liberals and the NDP. It will help make the Cons look even worse. And of course, because it is the right thing to do, and the NDP is a party full of many principled people. Being noble and principled may hurt you in the short run, but in the long run it can only help you...

Simon said...

hi anonymous...As I told another commenter I agree that the ads could have an effect on a certain segment of the population, the ignorant or the uninformed. But remember that Con base is shrinking, and what they use to turn on some, could turn off many others. And you're right about the Quebecer part, because it's designed to inflame, and I haven't the slightest doubt that Harper plans to campaign against Quebec in the next election. By accusing the Liberals and the NDP of being in bed with the separatists. Which is why I think it's very important that the Liberals counter that, and as I tried to caricature, turn the distortion against the Cons...

Simon said...

hi anonymous...as I and others have discussed above the ads will work with their rabid base who start foaming at the very mention of the world Trudeau. But I think a lot of other Canadians will not only find them laughable, it may serve to turn many against the Cons. For as you say, they do make the Harperites look ugly and desperate...

Simon said...

hi lefty...don't be discouraged, it's always darkest before the dawn, and I can see that tiny ball of fire on the horizon. Or is it the pony in the manure? ;)
The situation may appear the same, but things have actually changed quite a bit. The Cons are a tired burnt out government, and a lot of people are anxious for change. Just in Trudeau and Tom Mulcair will both get a chance to make their cases to Canadians, and although herding progressives is harder than herding cats, I'm extremely optimistic that in the end, by one way or the other, our side will prevail. So please whatever you do, take yourself and as many others to the polls. For I herded six of my young and fool friends to the polls last time, and if I could do that so can you... :)

Well I think most girls found Trudeau hot in the ad anyways, but still low blow from conservative. Hopefully it backfires.
