Stephen Harper and the War on Gay People

He has always been an enemy of gay people. A man who would murder their rights tomorrow, if he thought he could get away with it.

He has voted against every bill that would make them equal, or protect them from hate crimes.

He discriminates openly against gay organizations. He won't spend a dollar to help save the lives of gay children who are being bullied to death.

But he does have oodles of sticky blood money to fund an anti-gay group in one of the most anti-gay countries on earth.

An evangelical organization that describes homosexuality as a "perversion" and a "sin" is receiving funding from the Government of Canada for its work in Uganda, where gays and lesbians face severe threats.

A nightmare place where American evangelicals have stirred up a genocidal hatred against LGBT Ugandans. A place where lynch mobs run wild in a frenzy of blood lust.

And love is on the run.

Five police officers force three young men out of their one-room slum dwelling in Kampala, with no explanation. As they are dragged down the slum's main shopping street, their neighbours' hateful shouts make their "crime" all too clear: "Beat those gays up!" "Kill those monsters!" "Give them what they deserve!"

A country where LGBT people are called "Kuchus" and must live in fear of being murdered...

Like poor, gentle, brave David Kato, bludgeoned to death in his own home, assaulted again at his funeral.

While we live in a country with a Con regime that would send out its pathetic gay stooge John Baird to condemn the bigots and religious fanatics in Uganda, while secretly funding those who think like them.

Until Tuesday, the organization's website carried a list of "sexual sins" deemed to be "perversion": "Turning from the true and/or proper purpose of sexual intercourse; misusing or abusing it, such as in pedophilia, homosexuality and lesbianism, sadism, masochism, transvestism, and bestiality."

Just hours after The Canadian Press contacted the group to ask a spokesperson about the site, the page in question disappeared from public view.

And who like the theocons in the PMO would hide in the shadows.

A ghastly alien teabagger regime that is blatantly and outrageously favouring the religious over the secular.

A study by the Canadian Research Institute on Humanitarian Crisis and Aid concluded that, between 2005 and 2010, the funding for religious non-government organizations increased 42 per cent. Secular groups saw an increase of five per cent.

A theocratic right-wing cult whose plan is to destroy government, hand the poor, the old, and the sick over to religious groups, and have them sing for their supper.

And of course the scariest part is that so many Canadians are so ignorant they still don't believe the Stephen Harper has a weird and hidden religious agenda. Or would CHOOSE not to believe it. Or like those in his rabid base, would make genocide smell like roses.

Great eh? You know three years ago I made a little video about Great Ugly Leader's anti-gay record, to warn what might happen if he ever got a majority. And it's so humble, so incomplete, so outdated, so inadequate, I'm almost ashamed to play it again.

But I will make a better one. I will include the bullied kids, and the Kuchus of Uganda. And all the other indignities of Harper's war on gay people.

I will fight this ugly bully regime of religious fanatics every day of my life until it is driven from power and this country is safe and clean again.

And in the meantime, I will bludgeon them with their bigotry.

And this is STILL who they are...

What sickening, retrograde people. I'm so tired of having to endure their shit.

Simon, one day, I hope that this particular gang of idiots is imprisoned, and that we, the sane, decent people, will go from strength to strength.

Then we can listen to the hypocritical, self-pitying bleating (and witness the occasional acting-out) of these garbage-brained cretins.

It will be interesting to see if there is a last minute "reconsideration" of funding this cult under the guise of humanitarian efforts. The group has a clear and explicit agenda and no doubt acts in similar fashion to the US based hate groups who travel to vulnerable countries to act out their witch hunts on gay people they can't do quite as openly as here. Disgusting that we have one of our own, John Baird, who is promoting this crap at the federal level.

Notwithstanding the presence of at least two gay cabinet ministers in Baird and Kenny.

Harper was Policy Chief for his, Northern Foundation Party of 1989. He was linked with Christian Fundamentalists, and other dubious links. He certainly fits that profile. The axis of evil. I think that's where Harper's abusive Dictatorship comes from. Dictators of yesteryear and today, have no morals nor ethics, what-so-ever. Harper's character is every bit as hateful as, Stalin, Hitler and Mussolini.

Harper's robo-call election cheat, has now spread to the Saskatchewan Tory's. Harper has given permission to lie and cheat, to win Canadian elections, just as he did.

hi thwap...yes it is sickening, but I'm afraid it's only going to get worse. When the Cons cut the subsidies to political parties, to try to destroy the Liberal Party, they also cut off all the money they were collecting. So now they are even more dependent on their rabid base and must please them to keep their Jesus Dollars coming in. And yes, hopefully one day we will have a chance to find out what they have been up to, and jail them accordingly...

hi bcwaterboy...I'll be surprised if the Cons stop funding the Crossroads cult, for they're big and the have a TV channel. They'll take pictures of them digging some well somewhere, and then hope that it all blows over. For as I just told thwap, they need all the hate dollars they can get to keep feeding their War Machine... especially with another election looming. As for John Baird, if he had any credibility left, which I doubt, it's all gone now...

hi anonymous...I don't know if Kenney is gay or just chaste as he claims, and his anti-gay record speaks for itself. Baird is not one to place humanity before ideology. And since the conservatives depend so heavily on their religious base, nobody dares question the PMO dictates. In the U.S. the gay vote helped Obama win the election. In Britain the gay marriage issue has split the Conservative Party. So being able to portray the Cons as anti-gay is definitely helpful...

hi anonymous...I still can't be sure whether Harper is doing it to pleasure his rabid base or himself. But either way a decent person would know better, and sooner or later this evil with catch up with him, and he will pay for it at the polls...

hi wazz...no I suppose you can't, so we just have to get rid of Fantino. And since we can't cure evil either, we'll just have to get rid of Harper as well... ;)
