The Capitalist Pigs and the Cream Separator
Uh oh. I mean oink oink. I see the unrepentant capitalist pig just can't help itself. Stuffing itself with human misery. While the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer.
A new report finds that the gap between the rich and the poor just keeps getting wider in Canada.
So much for the Con plan to cut government jobs, drive down wages, reduce benefits by attacking unions, while giving the rich juicy tax breaks.
The study suggests there may no longer be truth to the notion that the poor will automatically benefit as the rich get richer, said OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurria.
"This study dispels the assumptions that the benefits of economic growth will automatically trickle down to the disadvantaged and that greater inequality fosters greater social mobility," Gurria said in a statement.
So much for the trickle down theory...
So much for the redeeming power of human greed.
You know some people believe that capitalism wouldn't be in such a mess. And Italy's Welfare minister wouldn't be weeping.
If the pigs had manners.
And the rogue traders weren't so greedy.
But they're wrong.
As the great Canadian Tommy Douglas explained so many years ago, it's the nature of the system...
And we believe that too.
Because Tommy was our kind of Canadian.
And we belong to a movement whose time has finally come...
The tents may have come down but the struggle continues.
We will not let the Harper Cons steal our future. Or turn our society into a jungle. We will not look on helplessly while they torch the planet.
We will change the world and make it a better place.
History and life itself are on our side.
And this was just the BEGINNING...

That Tommy Douglas video was great. Thanks for linking it.
Overheard on the inter-toobs:
"I look at those scruffy protesters and their drums and I think: 'they don't represent me.'
Then I look at the business class in their power-suits who shut down my factory, slashed my unemployment insurance, and now pay me $12 an hour as an independent contractor, and I think: 'they don't represent me either.'
Then I sit like an idiot in front of my tv and masturbate to Hollywood gossip shows and wonder dimly why nothing ever seems to change."
hi anonymous...you're welcome. I found it on the Occupy Canada website. Not only is the Occupy movement changing the world, it's educating me as well... :)
hi thwap...yeah...it would be hard to say it more simply or more powerfully. The amount of misery and humiliation those greedy pigs are inflicting on ordinary people is totally unbelievable
and absolutely unforgivable...
