How The Con Hate Mongers Are Slowly Poisoning Canada

I've spend the last few days flying around all over the place, so it's great to be back home.

And to make matters even better, the rink is fully functional.

But just as I was saying to myself, yes, that's MY Canada.

Andrew Scheer's Insane Attempt To Try To Change His Image

Not long ago I warned that Andrew Scheer's shadowy inner circle of religious fanatics, the group known as The Conclave, was in a full blown panic, or a friggin' frenzy.

Their attempt to destroy Justin Trudeau had failed, and worse, had left Schmear looking like Mr Ugly.

So the time had come to try to make him look like Mr Nice Guy, or a nicer guy than Trudeau.

Which I thought was ridiculous. 

I mean who would you rather get stuck in an elevator with? Justin or Schmeagol?

But if that was ridiculous, this is INSANE.

The Cowardly Attack on Refugees and the Silence of the Cons

I'm glad that police in Vancouver are calling it a truly disturbing hate crime. 

Vancouver Police Chief Adam Palmer is calling a pepper spray attack outside a welcome event for Syrian refugees a very troubling hate crime and asked the perpetrator to turn himself in.

I'm glad that Justin Trudeau is saying it's not who we are.



But what I also find truly disturbing is the silence of the Cons.

The Con Regime and the First Shadows of a Police State

When I saw this photo during the hearings into Bill C-51 it sent a chill down my spine.

Because that posse is a horrible combination of stupidity and brute force, it looks like something out of a police state, or Pinochet's Chile.

And I knew those three amigos would lead us to a bad place.

And sure enough, now that their totalitarian bill has cleared parliament, they're smiling like cats who just ate a bucket of mice.

And threatening those who would peacefully protest against the policies of Benjamin Netanyahu's racist settler regime.  

Justin Trudeau and the Monstrous Con Hate Mongers

In my last post I said that the break-in at Justin Trudeau's home was a clear attempt to terrorize him and his young family.

And I accused Stephen Harper and his Cons of having created a climate of hate. Which is so obvious in the comment section of this Sun story.







As well as in the comment sections of other newspapers and on websites like Twitter.

But while condemning those vile comments, the National Post's Michael Den Tandt somehow manages to save most of his scorn for the ones he calls Harper haters.

Ezra Levant and the Apology Song

Well I'm glad to see that Ezra Levant has apologized for his hateful comments about the Roma.

Although it did take him forever to put his lips together and spit out the words I'm sorry.

And knowing him, I'm pretty sure he's even sorrier that he had to write this formal apology. 

Harperland and the Foulness of the Cons

Sometimes these days when I go looking for my Canada, strong, noble, and decent, I can't find it.

Instead of a young country charging confidently into the future, I see a country full of angry, bitter, crazed Cons, filling up with hatred, and heading for the bottom. 

Instead of the cool, fresh wind of the Canadian fall in my face, there is the stink of Harperland, and foul stench of Rob Anders.

The Quebec Shooting and the Hatred that Kills

For a Montrealer like me, who lives and plays happily in both solitudes, and is always trying to bring Quebecers and Canadians together, it was the ultimate nightmare.

An old Anglo, in a balaclava .... and a bathrobe ... screaming "The English are rising up!!! There's going to be fucking payback !!!"

After killing a poor stage hand, throwing a molotov cocktail at the back entrance, and trying to shoot-up the PQ victory party.

For no sane reason.

What world is this that playgrounds have become killing grounds? The murder of hope, love, creativity, passion, ingenuity, individually. This goes unpunished. Unnoticed. Why? When these die, our very person dies.

If there’s one thing I hate, it’s when people don’t care about bullying. I hate when people say, “It’s no big deal” because it is. I hate when people say you won’t get affected because everyone is and I hate when people say it’ll get better because it won’t.

Jamey Rodemeyer, the Bullies, and Lady Gaga

The other night I wrote about the tragic story of Jamey Rodemeyer, the 14-year-old boy from Buffalo, New York, who was bullied to death for being gay.

So I'm glad to see that the bullies may be held accountable.

Police are looking to bring criminal charges against three or more teens following the suicide of a 14-year-old who had been bullied for being gay.

At least three teens are said to be of particular interest to police and may be charged with hate crimes, harassment or cyber-harassment following the tragic death.

Because bullying is a hate crime. And I don't believe bullies can ever be punished enough.

It's such a sad story. So tragic in so many ways. And one of the things that moves me the most was how Jamey thanked Lady Gaga before he killed himself, for giving him the strength to endure, until he couldn't anymore.

On Saturday night he posted a lyric from Lady Gaga's song The Queen on his Facebook page which said: 'Don't forget me when I come crying to heaven's door.'

On 1.30am on Sunday morning, he left two final messages on one of his blogs saying he was looking forward to seeing his great grandmother, who recently died, and one as a tribute to Lady Gaga, thanking her.

And how Lady Gaga responded today.

I know a lot of older people don't like Lady Gaga. And I'm a bit too old to be one of her little monsters eh?

But no straight artist has ever worked so hard for the LGBT cause.

I think she's FABULOUS.

Bullying is a hate crime.

Hate Crimes and the Rainbow Cupcakes

Statistics Canada has released the latest figures on hate crimes in this country and the results are depressing.

Statistics Canada said hate crimes reported to police increased by 42 per cent, rising to more than four incidents a day from less than three a day in 2008.

Not just because they continue to rise, but also because although all hate crimes are hideous.

Some are more bloody than others.

In 2009, three-quarters (74%) of incidents motivated by sexual orientation involved a violent offence, usually assault. In comparison, 39% of racially motivated incidents and 21% of religiously motivated incidents were classified by police as violent in nature.15

Victims of incidents motivated by sexual orientation were more likely than other victims of hate crime to suffer physical injuries. In 2009, 63% of victims of violent hate crimes motivated by sexual orientation were injured compared to 39% of victims of racially motivated incidents and 23% of victims of religiously motivated incidents.

But get so little attention. One brief mention in that Globe story, and ONE comment in more than six HUNDRED.

And then there is this chart that points to another problem...

We're not doing enough to fight bigotry in our schools. And sadly in some religious schools homophobia is still being encouraged.

Despite a ban on any rainbows at the St Joseph Catholic Secondary School anti-homophobia event June 3, the student organizers found a creative way to get their message across: hiding rainbows inside the cupcakes.

Oh boy. You've got to love those young bakers, but don't gay kids deserve better?

And why in more than five years have the Harper Cons done NOTHING to fight homophobia? Answer: because Great Godly Leader voted against making it a hate crime to attack gay people.

And like so many members of his rabid religious base, he believes they CHOOSE to be gay. So presumably if they changed they wouldn't be attacked.

Yup. As I've always said, we need to fight this government. We need to do more to fight bigotry in this country.

Religious schools should be abolished, before they hurt more children.

And I'm still waiting to see a video on Canadian TV.

Vic Toews and the Crime the Cons Forgot

Oh. My. Voodoo. Now that's SCARY. The old Con zombie Vic Toews has stumbled out of his crypt and declared he wants to fight hate crimes.

But only if the victims are religious.

A group of religious centres in Toronto will receive government funding to help protect their communities against hate crimes.

Mr. Toews says he wants to ensure that vulnerable communities are able to protect themselves against hate-crime incidents.

Which is great eh? All vulnerable communities should be protected.

But how come he forgot this one?

The agency says all three major categories of hate crime increased in 2008, but the largest increase was among crimes motivated by sexual orientation, which more than doubled from 2007 to 2008.

Hate crimes motivated by sexual orientation were also the most violent: 75 per cent were violent compared with 38 per cent of racially-motivated incidents and 25 per cent of religiously motivated incidents.

Answer: because he's a hideous homophobe and a holy hypocrite.

Which reminds me...remember how Stockwell Day was going on the other day about un-reported crimes and invisible criminals?













How come Doris forgot to mention one of the most un-reported violent crimes of all? 

And the gay victims...


















Answer: because he's also a homophobe. And like every other disgusting ReformCon he's never lifted a finger to fight homophobia. Only encouraged it.

Oh boy. I try very hard not to hate any group of people. Because I want to be better than that.

But when I see what these foul, misogynistic, homophobic, racist Cons are doing to my beautiful country.

I just can't help it...

Cons, Homophobes, and Hate Crimes

Another day in Stephen Harper's Canada. Another violent anti-gay attack.

Holtzman said he and Regier were attacked without provocation. He received about 50 punches to his head and body and was twice bitten by his attacker.

Both Holtzman and Regier suffered concussions, with Regier beaten so viciously he was taken to hospital, where surgical staples were put in his head to close a wound.

Because if you think 2008 was  horrifying.

Police services are reporting a big jump in hate crimes, and they say gay men are being targeted more often and in the most violent incidents.

Hate crimes motivated by sexual orientation were also the most violent: 75 per cent were violent compared with 38 per cent of racially-motivated incidents and 25 per cent of religiously motivated incidents.

Now it's even WORSE. Last year was the bloodiest year. This year threatens to be even bloodier.

And don't forget  that most cases aren't reported because many gays don't trust the police. And who can blame them eh?

When police decide that this isn't a hate crime.












This isn't a hate crime.



And neither is this one.















The fact is a wave of anti-gay violence is sweeping across the country, and as someone who could be hurt or killed, I blame Stephen Harper's homophobic government.

Because when you treat an oppressed minority like second-class citizens, you send out a message that it's OK to treat gays like garbage, and human scum everywhere can interpret that as a green light to bash them. 

At the very least you might expect the Cons to fund anti-homophobia ads, instead of spending millions promoting their Porky Action Plan.

You know ads like this British one...



But I have never ever seen an ad like that in Canada.

And how can you expect the Cons to fight homophobia when they are part of the problem?

Organize, unite, defeat these ugly bigots.

Before they cause a BLOODBATH...  

When is a Hate Crime a Hate Crime?

When I look at the video of those three redneck bigots attacking a black man in British Columbia, I feel almost dizzy with anger.

I have to take deep breaths to clear away the red haze, and the bloody memory of so many fights. Because when those miserable bully cowards shout "nigger" I hear "faggot."

And I want to fight them all over again.

But what makes me even angrier is why the police are taking so long to declare this assault a hate crime.

RCMP Const. Tammy Douglas said there are indications the attack was racially motivated and the Mounties have asked their hate crime team to look into it.

It is, however, being treated as an isolated incident and will not be labelled a hate crime until all the evidence is in.

Because what the fuck else could this be?


When they attack you for who you are....whether you are black, gay, Jewish, Muslim, Asian or whatever.... it's a HATE crime. Period.

And if the cops can't see that they're either blind or ignorant.

Like Courtenay's idiot Mayor.

As the shock waves continued to reverberate over a race-based assault in Courtenay, B.C., last Friday night, Mayor Greg Phelps defended his council's refusal to join the community's latest anti-discrimination efforts.

“We were told it's just a feel-good document, and I have trouble signing a feel-good document.”

The good news? Jay Phillips handled himself BRILLIANTLY.

Phillips suffered cuts and bruised ribs when the trio got him to the ground.

But his background in mixed martial arts made him more than a match for his attackers.

You know after taking martial arts for 14 years, and with my degree from the Glasgow School of Street Fighting, I probably would have done a few things differently.

But he really SHOWED them anyway. Made them look like circus klowns riding away in that pickup.

But here's the thing, if he didn't know how to fight he might now be DEAD.

And a hate crime is a hate crime is a hate crime.

"I'm nobody's slave. That's a hate crime to me and I want these guys prosecuted to the maximum."

You said it brother. Throw the book at those cowardly racist bully bigots. Make an example out of them.
