A B-movie where Thomas Mulcair gets swarmed by a small army of Con oil pimps, for warning the Americans the pimps are trying to scam them.
While the Con pimps, who are selling us out to foreign interests, accuse him of snitching on them. Or betraying Canada, like Alison Redford charged today.
Well there they were again. The same tired old Con gang and their weird and whacked out leader.
Blowing smoke out of every orifice, trying to smear their opponents.
Lying like thieves.
There’s only one problem with this alarmist scenario, which has been dutifully parroted by Conservative robomaulers across the country.
It’s utter bovine-enhanced fertilizer. In other words, B.S.
The Cons and their stooges in the right-wing media have gone after him like a pack of rabid hyenas.
They have attacked the man, claiming he was too angry and divisive to be a leader.
They have mocked him for pointing out the dangers of the Dutch Disease, that is ripping the guts out of our manufacturing sector and hollowing out our country, just to make Alberta rich.
Well I see the Big Oil Cons have finally released their attack hogs.
The Harper Conservatives have finally unleashed the attack dogs on Tom Mulcair.
They've pounced on the newly minted NDP leader's musings about the economic impact of Alberta's oilsands to paint him as a divisive, ill-informed, irresponsible enemy of western Canada who is unfit to govern.
And that in the absence of Great Napoleon Leader, James Moore led the charge, with this humungous hog fart.
OK. So I was wrong.
When Christy Clark became the latest Con stooge to denounce Thomas Mulcair, for simply pointing out that the Dutch Disease is killing our manufacturing sector, I said it could only mean one thing.
Big Oil and its Con puppets were scraping the bottom of the barrel.
But I forgot I was living in the sinister petro state of Harperland.
Where the bottom of the dirty oil barrel goes all the way to China.
And I forgot about the Con Senate...
Ever since Thomas Mulcair warned that the Dutch Disease is killing this country, every shabby oil pimp and Con huckster in Canada has been lining up to denounce him.
And now we've finally reached the bottom of the dirty oil barrel.
Christy Clark, the Liberal Conservative ConLiberal Premier of British Columbia is calling Mulcair goofy.
It's been one year since Stephen Harper stole an election and finally got his majority.
And you should have seen him at his Great Majority Party today, wearing a silly hat, and blowing his own trumpet.
I'm sorry to see that Liberals and the NDP are attacking each other, and that Bob Rae is calling Tom Mulcair a "mini-Harper."
“If there was any doubt in anyone’s mind in Canada, let me just say that the era of love and good feeling is clearly over inside the NDP. It’s a new regime,” he said.
“We’ve now moved to the world where anger apparently is better than love, arrogance is now better than humility and petulance is much stronger than respect.”
Because I'd rather see the opposition parties focus all their fire on the Cons. Mulcair is no Jack Layton, but no mini-Harper either.
And although I can understand why Rae is angry at the way the new leader is asserting himself, the truth is that thanks to the NDP leadership race, Rae has had the stage to himself for months. He has had trouble recognizing that the situation has changed.

Oh boy. What a difference a week makes. It seems like just yesterday when I was waiting for the fog to lift, and wondering who will save us from Stephen Harper's ghastly regime?
Because I really don't want to live in a country like this one.
What matters in the budget is not the immediate impact of $5.2 billion in annual spending cutbacks announced by Finance Minister Jim Flaherty. Rather, it is the attempt to gradually transform Canada, from a country in which private and social needs live in uneasy balance to one where the urge for profit dominates.
In the ideal world of Stephen Harper, social programs — including public pensions for the elderly — would not exist. Retirees would be expected to get by on their own savings.
A country where there is not enough money to help old people live in dignity, but gazillions for killer planes we don't need.
Well I see that even before Thomas Mulcair rose in the Commons today, the Cons sent out one of their attack chihuahas to try to "define him." Or in their mob lingo, bite his balls knees ankles.
“This hug-a-thug, soft-on-crime leader will return Canada to policies favoring the rights of criminals over those of victims,” said Mr. Watson who labelled Mr. Mulcair an “opportunist” with a “divisive personality” and “ruthless ambition.”
But since the designated chihuahua was the Con wingnut Jeff Watson, and he probably said worse things about Nick Kouvalis.
Justice Lloyd Dean acknowledged testimony by two campaign workers who told the court they heard Nick Kouvalis say, "If I could ... kill Jeff Watson with my bare hands and get away with it, I would."
It was the result I was hoping for, the only real choice the NDP could have made.
For Thomas Mulcair is the only leader that can win back support in Quebec from the Bloc, without which everything else would be in vain. He is the only one who can make the NDP more popular in the rest of Canada, and take it all the way to power. And above all he is the leader Stephen Harper fears the most.
Which is why, like many others, I was disappointed by his victory speech. For it was not the Mulcair I know. Mulcair the fighter who takes no prisoners, and will give the Con thug Harper no quarter.
I wasn't planning to write anything about the NDP leadership race today, but after yesterday's attack on Thomas Mulcair by Ed Broadbent, I feel I have no choice.
For that attack was ill advised, intellectually dishonest, and cognitively challenged. And mark my words, if the NDP rejects Mulcair it will not only condemn itself to irrelevancy once again, it will help re-elect Stephen Harper, and threaten the very future of this country.
It's like a recurring nightmare. The ugly images, the leering voice. Stephane Dion is NOT a leader. Michael Ignatieff didn't come back for you. Jack Layton did it once he'll do it again.
And now comes the latest attack ad from the diseased brain of Stephen Harper: Thomas Mulcair is NOT a Canadian.
Thomas Mulcair, the Quebec MP and NDP leadership contender, carries two passports. One is Canadian, the other is French.
