Hallelujah !!! We have our David Daniel. Somebody has finally stood up to the ghastly Con Goliath Rob Ford.
Toronto Star reporter Daniel Dale has served Mayor Rob Ford with a libel notice over comments the mayor made during a televised interview earlier this week.
Mr. Dale published a statement on the Star’s website Thursday saying he served the notice against both the mayor and Vision TV – which aired the broadcast – as the first step of a defamation lawsuit.
He’s asking the mayor to retract the “false insinuation that I am a pedophile,” his statement read.
And now the monstrous bully is going to have to explain himself. Or GROVEL.
Well yesterday he was looking for any camera he could find to try to keep his face in the news.
But tonight he was hanging on for dear life and dodging the media, after police documents finally revealed the true heart of the Rob Ford scandal. Not just a mayor out of control.
But one at the mercy of CRIMINALS.
Gosh. I've never started a post with the same picture I used to end the last one eh?
But you really can't repeat this enough times: You can't put lipstick on a Con hog.
Mayor Rob Ford threatened to sue former staffers Thursday, but it was his reference to allegations of oral sex with a former staff member that sent shockwaves through the city.
At last he stands revealed, the Bubbah Lord of the Ford Nation, in all his grubby glory.
The political thug, the violent rages, the dangerous drunk, the crude sexual remarks, the hookers, the racism.
Oh boy. I have to admit that when you're a blogger and a progressive in Harperland, some days are better than others.
And at first glance today really sucked eh?
For starters as I walked home this evening I was finally forced to admit what I have being denying for so long:

Well I'm sorry to report that Rob Ford is still clinging to power, and that the big question seems to be will he go to rehab before he drops dead?

Instead of when will he resign before he kills Toronto?
Or who were those sinister characters with the suitcases full of money?
It couldn't have been a more disgusting sight, or a more depressing day for Canadian democracy.
Three Canadian Senators sacrificed, along with due process, on the altar of political expediency.
The Senate flexed its muscle Tuesday and in an unprecedented move tossed three of its members — Senators Mike Duffy, Pamela Wallin and Patrick Brazeau — out of the chamber, cutting their salaries and use of office resources.
While the morally depraved leader who appointed them, and ordered their summary executions, denied that the RCMP was investigating his own office.
OMG. What a nightmare. Rob Ford is still the Mayor of Toronto, still clinging to power.
Nobody can get rid of him, he won't resign, he won't go to rehab.
And now the Fordzilla is out of CONTROL !!!!!.
They may appear like an odd couple. The monstrous Machiavellian and the monstrous buffoon. But they both spent the weekend doing the same thing.
Stephen Harper trying to reframe the Senate scandal by blaming it on the Senators he appointed and the Senate he corrupted.
Rob Ford trying to refocus the crack video scandal on his battle with the bottle.
“I’m not a crack addict. I’m not an addict of any type of drug, even alcohol,” he said. “I’m not an alcoholic. But do I like to have a couple drinks? Absolutely, I do.”
Because that could happen to anyone eh?
And both men clearly thinking they can fool Canadians into believing ANYTHING.
He denied there was a video. He denied that he smoked crack or hung out with criminals.
But it looks as if the police have finally caught up with Rob Ford.
When I stare at that mugshot of Rob Ford. The one that was taken after he challenged a Florida cop to take him to jail for drunk and stoned driving, and was promptly arrested.
I can't help wondering whether more people should have realized where that spoiled son of a millionaire was heading.
Because now we all know eh? And it's not pretty.
I thought it was strange that at a time when Toronto was convulsed over the police shooting of Sammy Yatim, Rob Ford had nothing to say about what had happened.
Nothing to say about the way the police acted that night.
But instead ducked reporters, and when finally cornered while campaigning for Tim Hudak's Ontario Conservatives seemed incredibly nervous...
Golly. I'm sure Stephen Harper must look back fondly at the time when he had big plans for Rob Ford.
Those happy days when him and Big Boy could pose together under the logo of the Toronto police, declare they were for law and order, unlike the opposition who were for the criminals.
And Boss Harper could still dream that the Ford gang and the drooling rednecks of the Ford Nation, would deliver the bleeding head of progressive Toronto to him on a silver platter.
But sadly for him, that was then, and this is now.
He's spent the last week running from the media.
Refusing to answer questions about a video that shows him smoking crack with a bunch of criminals.
Then he gets to go on his own radio show and claim that there is no video, and the media are maggots.
It was another chilling moment in a story that just keeps getting more and more disturbing.
Doug Ford, Rob's big brother, turning to the camera this afternoon to say this to the editor of the Globe and Mail:
"John Stackhouse you are a disgusting human being...if you have a family if you have kids how would you like me to do some investigative reporting on you?
