A few days ago I wrote a post about Stephen Harper's appearance on an American right-wing talk show.
Where he claimed that the only reason he lost the 2015 election was because the media was united against him.
And like others I wondered whether he had returned to replace the hapless Andrew Scheer as interim leader.
But now I believe that we can all relax, because it doesn't look like Harper will be going anywhere...
When I first saw Canadian soldiers arriving at long term care homes in Ontario and Quebec I must admit I was shocked.
I didn't think they had the training or the equipment to be able to do much good.
But boy was I wrong.
It seems like only yesterday that Peter MacKay was claiming that Canadians had lost faith in the Trudeau government, and was demanding an October election.
But he's not doing that any longer.
Peter MacKay, one of four candidates left fighting to be the next leader of the Conservative Party, says he doesn’t believe that Canadians want a federal election this fall as the country continues to grapple with the impact of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
MacKay is blaming Covid-19 for his change of heart, but I'm sure these latest poll numbers also helped cool his jets.
In my last post I looked at how Stephen Harper is now blaming the Con media for his humiliating loss to Justin Trudeau.
And I had a good laugh, for it sounded so ridiculous.
But I'm not laughing anymore.
Because now a Con in Quebec is comparing Harper to Churchill...
In October it will be five years since a pale, shell shocked Stephen Harper stumbled out into the night after being humiliated by Justin Trudeau, the leader he claimed wasn't ready.
Since that fateful night Harper hasn't had anything to say about why he lost the election.
But now in an interview with the right-wing talk show host Dennis Prager, Great Failed Leader is finally pointing the shaky finger of blame.
And believe it or not, he's blaming the Con media!!!
It was Andrew Scheer's birthday the other day, but as you can imagine the celebrations were somewhat muted.
None of his Cons felt much like celebrating, not when so many of his Cons are afraid that thanks to Scheer they are going to lose their seats in the next election.
And of course, this was a lousy birthday present.
Justin Trudeau was looking very spiffy at his regular briefing this morning.
Maybe it was just the sunny Spring day, or his new jacket.
Or maybe it was this shiny new poll.
As we all know the depraved Donald Trump has been posing as a U.S. President for what seems forever, and failing miserably. Over and over again.
But the raging pandemic, and those 90,000 dead Americans, have spooked him almost as much as Joe Biden's rising polls.
And now he's playing doctor, and claiming he's taking the dangerous anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine...
He tried to hide it for many years. He didn't want anyone to know that he was also an American citizen.
Especially since he had gone after Former Gov. General Michaëlle Jean for holding a French citizenship.
And when he was finally exposed, he promised to renounce his American citizenship as soon as possible.
But sadly the Ugly American was lying. Again.
As I'm sure you know, I believe that Andrew Scheer is the most morally depraved leader in modern Canadian history. He was already known to be a serial liar, a racist, a misogynist, a vile homophobe, and a climate change denier.
But the pandemic has dragged him into the foul depths where only the cruelest and most dirty beasts roam.
For first he accused the CERB program of encouraging suffering Canadians to be lazy.
Now he's accusing Justin Trudeau of turning a blind eye to fraud.
