Soon after the Great Plague began I started collecting bits and pieces of pandemic art, so that one day I could remember that it wasn't all darkness.
And that not even Covid could suppress the artistic spirit.

For most of his political career Justin Trudeau's strongest supporters were young Canadians.
While most older Canadians voted for the Cons.
But not any longer.
Now most seniors are preparing to support Trudeau.
It wasn't easy to secure enough vaccines for Canadians in the early days of the pandemic.
A person I know who had a front row seat described it as something akin to a wrestling match, with knives.
But somehow Justin Trudeau managed to assemble a mighty team, and now we're reaping the benefits.
He was standing in his late mother's garden. He looked terrible, wasted even. He wanted to convince people that after three days in self-isolation he was OK, and in full control of the situation.
But instead he gave the opposite impression. He looked like a man who was losing it, and like so many other Cons doesn't know what he's doing.
First the picture froze, then they lost the audio, then they went to black. For poor dumb Doug, who doesn't know even how to operate a computer, it must have seemed like a nightmare.
A few days ago I predicted that Justin Trudeau's Liberals could be heading for a massive majority.
Although my prediction was based on a number of sources, many of those I know didn't believe it.
Which wasn't surprising, it's not easy to be optimistic in the middle of a pandemic, in a country with so many grumpy Con croakers.
But here is what the road to a super majority looks like...
He wasn't in the Ontario legislature today. The Con coward has gone into hiding. He knows what he has done, knows that he has mishandled the pandemic, and what that is doing to his once sky high popularity.
In my last post I predicted that Justin Trudeau would get a boost for his exemplary leadership, which has made Ford look like a bumbling buffoon.
Well guess what?
It looks like the surge has already begun.
He played Russian roulette with the deadly Covid variants, and lost.
Now Ontario is facing a human catastrophe that could result in as many as 30,000 Covid cases a day.
Its hospitals, its ICU units, and its health workers are struggling to keep from collapsing.
Erin O'Toole has rarely looked so ridiculous, standing in front of a moving video green screen.
So he could look like he was floating way above the earth, as he flogged his new/nouveau climate plan.
But then in a crazy way I suppose that made sense.
For if O'Toole looked ridiculous, so is his plan.
For a long long time Justin Trudeau put up with all the lies and smears Erin O'Toole excreted in his direction.
But not any longer.
Now he's fighting back, using the truth as his weapon.
And O'Toole has never looked more like a loser.
There is only one story I wanted to write about today. The story of our heroic front line workers who are in a desperate struggle to try to stop Covid's deadly third wave from swamping our hospitals.
But they know how I feel about them.
So instead I'm going to write about one of the so-called Covidiots, who is trying to stab those heroes in the back.
The ghastly bigot Ezra Levant.
It has now been exactly 104 years since Canadian troops assaulted German positions on Vimy Ridge.
The four divisions were fighting together for the first time, they were proud to be all in it together. At last.
And despite suffering more than ten thousand casualties they carried the day, and their victory was a significant milestone in the birth of this nation.
So you can imagine how disgusted I feel when I see that even as we battle the Covid monster threatening the lives of thousands of Canadians, the Cons are making it clear that this time we are NOT all in it together.
He didn't blame Justin Trudeau for anything, he praised him. He called for an end to partisan squabbling.
It was such a shocking sight I couldn't decide whether he had finally seen the light, or was finally losing his marbles.
But then Ford does have so much to be humble about.
As we all know Erin O'Toole is growing more and more desperate. His newser this morning was a horror show.
He's lying like a thief, his polls are tanking, his party is out of control. Nobody listens to him anymore.
But no matter how desperate he is, nothing can excuse this.
I have never found anything Erin O'Toole and his Con clowns have ever done to be even remotely amusing.
I consider them to be foul far right extremists who are threatening our country and its precious values.
But I have to admit this is hilarious.
It was a boxing match, nine years ago last night, that many believe changed the course of Canadian history.
The night the then Liberal MP Justin Trudeau took on the Con Senator Patrick Brazeau.
Back then I was a bit of a boxer or brawler myself, and I have to admit that like many others I thought Trudeau was the underdog.
