The Excellent Humiliation of Pierre Poilievre

For years Pierre Poilievre has been the loudest and most annoying Con attack beast in the House of Commons.

A pension porker who learned his ugly trade on the knees of Stephen Harper, and who now spends his time trying to eviscerate Chrystia Freeland, and of course his arch enemy Justin Trudeau.

While his many groupies scream for Trudeau's head, and wonder why the boring Erin O'Toole is Con leader instead of Poilievre.

So you can imagine how they must be feeling now that their darling Skippy has been cruelly deflated

Or cruelly demoted.

Conservative Leader Erin O'Toole scripted more of his party's electoral strategy Wednesday, creating new critic portfolios to signal where his focus will be when Canadians go to the polls: a plan for economic recovery.

His move to shuffle his front benches included punting longtime Tory finance critic Pierre Poilievre out of the marquee role and replacing him with B.C. MP Ed Fast.

Demoted. By Erin O'Toole. Could there be anything more humiliating?

But then of course Poilievre deserves it. His increasingly deranged musings about "The Great Reset" made him sound like a member of the QAnon cult.

And threatened to ruin O'Toole's plans to try to fool Canadians into believing the Cons are now a moderate party.

Which of course they're not.

They're the Trump Party of Canada.

And Poilievre's big mistake was that in a party like that one, he was too popular, and a threat to O'Toole.

As these members of our Con media, and the grotesque Ezra Levant, make only too clear:

Which also tells you all you need to know about Poilievre and our scummy Con media.

You know, it was once a marriage made in heaven...

And he was Harper's darling...

But he grew too creepy for even O'Toole...

Who being a snivelling coward came to fear him.

Especially with O'Toole's polls going nowhere but down.

Which is no doubt why the cowardly fool forgot that Ed Fast aka Fast Eddy, is no saint himself.

With just days to go before Parliament is scheduled to shut down for a two-week constituency break, tempers flared after the New Democrats accused a Conservative cabinet minister of making "an inappropriate gesture" at NDP member Niki Ashton.

Rising on a point of order after a particularly rancorous question period, New Democrat MP Dan Harris claimed that International Trade Minister Ed Fast had directed what he described as "an inappropriate gesture, a gun, while saying 'Boom'," in Ashton's direction.

But then of course, that is who the Cons are. The ugly party of Canada, more American than Canadian.

And truly evil...

Pierre Poilievre tried to poison our democracy, only to help poison his own party.

And with a little luck his bitterness will destroy it...

No matter how shrill little PeePee got he never seemed to hurt the liberals or help the reformatories: the numbers stayed relatively the same. Harper-bald needs to both grow support and can only do that by attracting liberal voters. Peckerhead pete couldn't do it so he's going with ol' half-fast. Good luck with that.

Those tweets show O'Toole is losing the Reich wing. He's completely misread the mood in his party. The base wants to go full Trump and PP's pandering to them with his opposition to the (((globalist))) Great Reset. PP's actually being quite clever, since whenever he says Great Reset the party's drooling base hears Great Replacement.

Anyway, if a knife fight breaks out between PP and O'Toole, I'm rooting for injuries.

First off I want to congratulate peewee on his demotion. However, I don't understand why the tool would demote such a partisan outrage machine as peewee when his "credentials" should have him in a high profile position. Now let's look at some of peewee's achievements.
Real world experience- None. A political lifer nurtured by his dear leader Harper. In return, peewee suckled Harper's teats and he's been suckling the taxpayer teats ever since.
On root causes- Terrorists are the root cause of terrorism said peewee. Which goes well with idiots are the root cause of idiocy.
Voter suppression- His unfair election's act was taken right from the GOP playbook. Peeweemandering, as it were.
Creating fake scandals- Another gem from the GOP playbook and peewee excels at it. One could say that that's all he does.
Lifetime achievement award- The destruction of the Canadian arm of the WE Children's charity. I wonder if his parents are PROUD of their BOY after that.
The irony here is he will be jobs critic to which he has zero experience of what real world people in real world jobs are going through. Fealty to Harper doesn't count as a job and neither does his affronts to democracy he's committed during his failed career.
Peewee's condescending look of having just sucked on a lemon fits him well. My daddy used to call that "a face that looks like a crushed can of arseholes". Can't argue with that. He's just an ugly reminder of the ugly Harper years and along with the other Harperites, they should all help to ensure another election loss when the time comes.

The big tent election strategy is to dim the lights and hide the creepers in the back row while decorating the front entrance with bright shiny baubles in the hopes no one will notice its a one way turnstile. In true Trumpian style once inside a series of mishaps (blamed on the others) will ensure the voting majority can never leave their carefully constructed alt reality maze. Harper nibbled around the edges, Trump brought his version of a twisted reality out into broad daylight and almost succeeded in retaining power. Its a learning process, why else would a no platform party with creepers patiently sitting quietly in the darkness want to lie their way into power only to be turfed in 4 years unless they have an ace up their sleeve. To paraphrase Harper their true strategy is... you wont recognize Canada in 4 years time.

The nasty little troll must be fuming. Pierre has fooled himself into thinking he is Prime Minister material, but even the dastardly Harper recognized that Pierre's attitude rubs most Canadians the wrong way. Pierre would make a great red state senator down south or a Wildrose/Reform MLA in rural Alberta.

A well deserved humbling for Pierre. He is in politics for all the wrong reasons.

O'Toole is a total joke. Pretends to be a "true blue" conservative to win the Con leadership and now is trying to turn the party into Liberal Lite.

Hopefully, many right wingers see through his BS and will vote for Max Bernier instead.

What a buffoon, makes Scheer look competent.

Its a good story line. Get out of the Con tent while you can because the dim lighting is taking on a red hue and you are liable to loose your way if you stay. Trouble is there is no mass exodus so its more likely they have bought into the game and are patiently sitting in the dark waiting for revolution day.

Beware the Tool saying he is a middle class monkey wrench when actually he is an elite screwdriver.

Nevertheless Canada is better of one penis short.

I love the Cons, they are cannibals. The way the leaders push-down anyone effective is hilarious to watch. Don't get me wrong, Polievre is a complete piece of c***p, but he appeals to the base. It is the Polievres that generate the outrage that keeps Con war coffers full. So thanks to O'Tooles less than consistent performance as opposition leader and now that attack dogs are being kept on a short leash for fear of them turning on the leader, we can expect the base to be looking for other places to put their money to get those gotcha moments as they criticize progressives.

Hi Rumleyfips....Yes, Poilievre is a big favourite of the Con base, but for most decent Canadians he is a complete turnoff, an ugly little fascist with a voice like nails on a chalk board. It will be interesting to see whether his demotion helps or hurts the Cons. However, I don’t think it will make much difference since O’Toole is their biggest problem...

Hi anon @1:55 PM..I’m getting dizzy watching O’Toole. He won the leadership by pandering to religious bigots and far right extremists. Then once elected he tried to portray himself as a moderate, only to return to his far right wing persona, and now he’s fired Kevin Sloan and demoted Poilievre? He doesn’t know what he’s doing, because he doesn’t believe in anything or anyone except himself....

Simon said...

Hi JD...As I said in my post, I think O’Toole demoted Poilievre for two reasons. One, he’s trying to fool Canadians into believing that the Cons are a now a more moderate party, which is of course a joke. And two, as his polls tank, I think he probably views Pigeon Pierre as threat to his leadership. As for me, I’m glad that we will be hearing a lot less from Poilievre, your very good list of the ugly things he has done brought back some very bad memories. And of course, I earnestly hope that his demotion will help spark a Con civil war....

Hi RT....Maybe I’m too optimistic, but I can’t see the Cons making much of an impression, at least before the next election. Their ugly negativity in the midst of a pandemic I don’t believe has helped them recover from the Scheer years. They are the blue meanies of Canadian politics, and their flirting with Trump and his gang only sealed their fate...

Hi BX...Ever since he suddenly dropped out of the leadership race Poilievre has been acting strangely. According to some sources in Ottawa, he didn't want to resign. So he became really bitter, and started playing the role of the district attorney in a Perry Mason movie, which was weird. And now he's gone silent on Twitter. I think the man is in trouble...

Simon said...

Hi MC...It's tragic, if your Cons hadn't listened to me I would have warned them that O'Toole will say or do ANYTHING for votes. But sadly, I doubt many will leave the party. But will continue to vote on cue, and send in their precious dollars. The Cons are falling apart, and I think they are past the point of no return...

Hi Steve...Yes, if the media had bothered to examine his wild claims, they would have discovered that beneath the folksy facade is a ruthless corporate lawyer. How he was able to fool so many Cons is beyond belief, but he won't fool the rest of us....
