Andrew Scheer's Long Day of the Loser

When we last left Andrew Scheer and his Rebel buddy Hamish Marshall, they were still trying to blame Justin Trudeau for ISIS and its cages.

Only to remind Canadians that Stephen Harper had used that line before, and end up caging themselves.

And now I'm afraid the same thing has happened again.

For now Schmear is blaming Justin Trudeau for everything, when in fact Trudeau has the Midas touch, and everything he touches turns to gold.

Like our booming economy, the best in the G7.

And if that wasn't bad enough the Schmeagol is also blaming Trudeau for the Phoenix payroll system disaster.

When in fact the disaster was created by Stephen Harper, when he promised in 2010 that 550 employees in a new pay centre in Miramichi, could do the work of 2,700 compensation advisors scattered across the country.

In his never-ending attempt to kill government, and balance the books...

By hook or by crook.

In what was just one more sorry episode in his serial abuse of power.

Stephen Harper and his Conservatives have racked up dozens of serious abuses of power since forming government in 2006. From scams to smears, monkey-wrenching opponents to intimidating public servants like an Orwellian gorilla, some offences are criminal, others just offend human decency.

Or his record of sheer incompetence.

Or should that be Scheer incompetence?

For shortly after being reminded of that, the new Con leader was also reminded that Pierre Poilievre, his favourite Mini-me after Hamish Marshall, also had his facts wrong.

When he accused Morneau-Shepell of inspiring Bill C27, a proposal to allow federally regulated institutions to introduce targeted benefit pension plans.

But then the grubby little Poilievre has been wrong so many times before...

And one can only hope that this latest epic fail was enough to convince Scheer to stop looking for his inner Harper.

And start looking for his inner Schmeagol...

Before it's too late,

Because yet another poll seems to be suggesting that his approach is all wrong.

The latest Nanos federal ballot tracking has the Liberals at 39.3 per cent support, followed by the Conservatives at 30.7 per cent, the NDP at 16.6 percent, the BQ at 5.0 per cent and the Greens at 7.0 per cent.

Suggesting that he's going backwards, while the Liberals are climbing again.

And that the writing is on the wall, as it once was for Stephen Harper...

And so it shall be for the sinister religious fanatic Scheer.

Who is even more disgusting and even more of a loser.

Yup, as I said yesterday, give us another six months.

And there won't be much left of him...

Have the Australian authorities been asked for help ? Has IBM been removed from the approved list ?

The Cons and MSM scream about personal responsibility as the average Canadian
is totally raped by the financial system. Why is it only the Toronto Star
that indicates when it comes to the important things, only Government can take care of Bidness. Scheer wants to personalize the CPP what folly.

If anything, it was the cons' fault that Canada got dragged into America's longest (and seemingly endless) war. Stockwell should be in the stockades for life and a Day, and Harper should be in a kennel with his feral cats under quarantine for toxoplasmosis. You go back 40 years to Vietnam, and it was Pierre who angered Nixon by welcoming in the draft resisters, and Pearson who started the process when he told off LBJ (who was a Democrat, but barring some exceptions, American politics in general has been to the right of Canada by design, practically since the first of the Loyalists fled north). Then Harper came along, swindled the body politic, and got on board the Bush bandwagon -- which the son of his pacifist nemesis is now trying to shift away from. Justin's damnatio memoriae of the Harper legacy (which Harper intended to do to Pierre's, just like Trump and the GOP are more or less having success doing with Obama's) will be all the better for Canada, and for the prospect of some stability in other parts of the world.

This is not the party of Diefenbaker who criticized Apartheid, any more than the GOP is the party of Eisenhower who warned of the military-industrial complex or Teddy Roosevelt who sought to crush the robber barons. This is a party that wants to turn Canada into a blood-and-soil apartheid theocracy, mired in perpetual warfare for profit and the appeasement of foam-at-the-mouth white nationalists and apocalyptic wannabe crusaders. They are indistinguishable from the GOP except maybe for the occasional French-speaker (except for exploiting the rest of the world and insulting progressive allies as "socialist failures," the GOP tend to be isolationists and monolingual "English-only" assimilationists through and through).

It's the same old, same old, everywhere you go. Conservatives make a mess, and Liberals have to clean it up. Move fast and break things. That goes for international relations between the two countries too: It took 150 years for Republicans to put a nail in the coffin for the USA, and the same duration for the prodigal son of the Liberal Party to raise up Canada out of its shadow as the next North American "beacon on a hill" of the free world.

Stick a fork in this turkey -- er, eagle -- and its cold-weather cousin, the blue loon. The ancient dodos are soon to go extinct.

Another great post Simon. Andrew Scheer is a terrible leader, and may yet turn out to be an even worse liar than Harper. As you have pointed out, him and Hamish Marshall are the spear point of an Alt-Right invasion of this country. When will the MSM finally wake up?

I've read that Phoenix is a poison pill left behind by the Harper regime to cripple a new government's ability to pay its employees correctly and to basically make them look bad as they try to fix what is becoming an unfixable mess.
I believe Harper would stoop that low for he hated the PS and he hates the Libs, so what's a few hundred million wasted tax dollars when Stevie can sate his lust to be an asshole extraordinaire.
To hear Scheer trying to pin blame on the Libs for Phoenix makes me sick. It's your classic Con exercise of not taking responsibility for their actions, a true cowardly way out.
The Libs need to fix this mess ASAP to regain the trust of the PS and to once again prove that when the Cons are in power, their utter incompetence at anything they do or their many abuses of power will require a full mandate for any new government to repair.

Cons are disgusting and any person who votes for them is an idiot.

Scheer is certainly like a Floogie bird with policies that fly in ever decreasing circles until the inevitable happens. Unfortunately he suffers from an incurable disease called anal vision that is moderately contagious.
The simple facts are that unless the Cons manage to quickly destroy modern society to the point where there is nothing left for white people to do but breed; the pure white variety will be in a minority in both the US and Canada by 2040. The 50% level could possibly be delayed by sealing borders and accepting a decline in total population numbers but would just delay the inevitable. There are two basic strategies to address this eventuality A) a multi cultural society with enshrined human rights and basic rights for everyone or b) a controlled society where the white minority retains power similar to the South African / Rhodesian models before the collapse. Seems to me some version of a) is a better choice.
Eventually if technology keeps moving at an ever accelerating pace future parents will be able to use "Dial-a-Gene version XXX" to select the preferred characteristics of their offspring. Ethnic origins will be a thing of the past. Wonder if the Scheer Floogie bird will be fashionable?

The other question that has been asked elsewhere is: Did any of those senior servants who played major roles in bringing in this sham called Phoenix lost their jobs when the government changed hands? Or are they still there defending the indefensible?

Simon said...

hi rumleyfips...I don't know the answer to your questions. In fact, since I'm not sure how the Phoenix system works I have no idea how it has become such a monumental screw-up. You would think that IBM would pay for the system's failure, or that the Cons would have the decency to stop blaming others for this turkey they left the Liberals. And of course I'm haunted by the question of whether the Cons knew it was a turkey but left it in place to punish civil servants and the new government...

hi Steve...I have long advocated that the CPP be enriched and allowed to cover many Canadians who are not properly covered today. I have worked with seniors, I see too many of them, especially women, suffering from grinding poverty that threatens their health. And just the thought of allowing the bestial Cons to get their hands on our pension system is to me an absolute nightmare...

Simon said...

hi anon...I share your beliefs about the Cons, and how they have deteriorated over the years. You can see it in the U.S., you can see it in Canada, and what's happening in Britain is almost beyond belief. The Brexit monsters have ruined he country, and even the proud NHS once a model for the world, has been brought to its knees. I find myself defending it to my family who don't trust it any longer, and that makes me so angry. The Cons of the world should be rounded up, and dumped on some faraway island, where they can gnaw on each other, and leave the rest of us alone...

Simon said...

hi anon...thank you, I'm glad you liked the post. Not many people read what I have to say any longer, but since the MSM is not doing its job, I'll just keep reminding Canadians how scummy and dangerous the Cons are, as long and as hard as I can...

Simon said...

hi JD...As I said above I wouldn't be surprised. Harper left all kinds of poison pills hidden all over the place, from the NEB to the CBC. And since he hated the public service with a passion he was quite capable of doing anything to hurt them. It's very unfortunate and I feel sorry for all those who are getting screwed by Harper's incompetence. And when I see Scheer trying to make it a Liberal problem it makes my blood boil. Whatever needs to be done to fix it must be done, so as you say Canadians can see the true cost of a Con government...

hi anon...people are always telling me my posts are too long. Maybe I should take my cue from you, and right something short but sweet like that. Goodness knows you're not wrong, and it would be so much easier... ;)

hi David...Not only have I written a post about that David Lynch video, I have saved a copy so I can make my own video version. And I'm greatly looking forward to turning it into a real horror show... ;)

hi RT...I like to think that Scheer is flying in decreasing circles, but we live in dangerous times, there is the smell of gasoline in the air, and that monster is quite capable of setting our country on fire. The return of the ISIS terrorists, and the impending increase in the number of migrants crossing the U.S.-Canada border are just two issues that the Cons might be able to use to their advantage. So while I remain confident that history is on our side, I fear we are in for a very bumpy ride...

Simon said...

hi lulymay...thats a very good question. For while most civil servants despised the Cons as much as the Cons despised them, the Harperites created a ruling class that was firmly on their side. I don't know whether the Liberals were able to get rid of them, but I fear progressives are too nice, so I wouldn't be surprised if they're still in place and doing what they can to damage the Liberal government. It's time progressives realized that we are in a war, and took no prisoners...
