Sending a Message to Stephen Harper

I see that Great Batty Leader has been flapping around the darkened halls of Parliament claiming that Canadians don't care about democracy...or the Con Torture and Rape Scandal.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper says Canadians aren't really concerned about allegations that the government engaged in a cover-up over the abuse of Afghan detainees.

"I think polls have been pretty clear that that's not on the top of the radar of most Canadians..."

Uh oh. Run for for your lives!!!! It's a moral implosion !!!!! I fear the winged would be dictator may be desperate...or RABID.

But who cares eh?

The grassroots revolt is growing.

"The audacity. The epic scale of the cynicism. The arrogance of a regime that thinks it can get away with just about anything."

And all I know is that after looking on helplessly for so long as our beautiful country was dragged through the gutter, it's going to feel sooooo good to join other Canadians in sending a loud message to Harper and his Cons.

Enough is ENOUGH.

Our Parliament belongs to the people, not to a power hungry thug and his ugly pack of baying jackals.

Democracy IS important. Covering up torture is beneath contempt.

We need a public inquiry.

And we want our country BACK...

I don't know much about Canadian politics, but this Stephen Harper reminds me very much of our Republicans, and that's a bad thing.

I thought Canada would have learned from watching the most powerful country in the world implode under conservative leadership.

hi BrightenedBoy...yes unfortunately that's what Harper is, a northern version of George Bush...from religious fanaticism to Big Oil.
The big problem in Canada is that the progressive side is divided while the right is united. So the northern Republicans can govern with 38% of the vote.
And trying to get the left to work together is like trying to herd cats :)
So not only didn't we learn from our neighbours, we could do something about this nightmare but we....um...can't.
So please don't tell your neighbours eh?
It's bad enough that thanks to Harper we're now regarded as planet destroyers by most of the civilized world.
But being known as dummies would just about finish us off... :)
