Only to be kettled by the riot squad, and then arrested. Like they were again this weekend.
For seven long and dark years Stephen Harper was able to hold this country in his iron grip.
For years him and his Cons were able to fool Canadians into thinking they knew what they were doing.
For years he was able to make the stooge media dance to his tinny tunes.
But now it's all going horribly wrong.
When I woke up today, the sky was blue, the sun was shining, and for a moment I thought that Spring had arrived in Harperland. Finally !!!!!
But then I stepped outside, realized that it was still horribly cold eh? And my day went rapidly down hill.
Before I could even finish my first coffee, it was Sean, my very good and very NDP friend, on the phone and very angry: "Since when did YOU become a LIBERAL?" #@!!!

And I have to admit I had almost given up hope that anybody would ever be charged in connection with the RoboCon Scandal.
But finally somebody has picked up the ringing phone and answered my prayers.
After 21 months of investigation, Elections Canada has charged a former Conservative campaign staffer over misleading robocalls in Guelph, Ont. in the 2011 election.
And now I can't help but think that this is just The Beginning....of the end of Stephen Harper.
When you stare at the public face of Stephen Harper's sinister Con regime, what you see is horrifying enough.
A tired, morally corrupt regime, that is willing to lie, muzzle people, or do anything to cling to power.
But what most Canadians don't see, what is hidden from their view, is even more frightening.
Well it has been a year since Stephen Harper declared war on environmentalists.
And started going after the Green Menace like Joe McCarthy went after the red one.
Calling respected environmental groups "radicals" and "extremists" and ordering that they be investigated.
Now the first results are in, and no doubt Harper is rolling on the floor of his bunker tonight, screaming with disappointment, and/or biting the carpet.
