It was always going to be an ugly spectacle, an assault on the values that make this country great.
A Con convoy demanding the end of vaccine mandates that are allowing us to at least hope of winning the war on Covid.
And threatening to bring down the government, and even kill Justin Trudeau, if they don't get their way.
But when they arrived in Ottawa it became a real horror show.
The Con convoy started laying siege to our democracy last night, and by this morning the air must have been thick with the stench of beer, piss, and feces.
As well as the stench of bigotry.
Because now there can be no doubt who they really are.
And it couldn't be uglier.
Many of them are religious fanatics who want to bring down the government, and arrest and even kill Justin Trudeau.
Which is why I'm glad that police are getting ready to make sure that they don't get anywhere near the heart of our democracy.
At least nobody can accuse me of not trying to warn Canadians about the FreeDumb convoy.
Warn them that it had a heart of darkness, and that it could be very, very, dangerous.
Many Canadians didn't want to hear about it, they didn't believe it could happen in Canada.
But it is happening, and it's a horror story.
They are roaring down the highway, hundreds of them, heading for the heart of democracy.
Some of them are vowing to bring down the government, and arrest Justin Trudeau.
They call themselves the FreeDumb Convoy.
But many decent Canadians are calling them the Karen Convoy.
It's been almost three years since hundreds of truckers surrounded Parliament Hill demanding an end to the war on climate change.
And Andrew Scheer and Pierre Poilievre went out to welcome them, even though many of the truckers were spouting racist and anti-semitic slogans, and demanding that Justin Trudeau be jailed or executed.
It was a disgusting spectacle, one that never should have happened.
But one I'm sorry to say, that seems about to happen again.
I've always had the feeling that Jagmeet Singh sees himself as some kind of medieval warrior.
A shining King of Khalistan who would not look out of place on a throne.
But who knew that throne would be so expensive?
Sometimes these days I feel like I'm living on some kind of bizarro planet, where Erin O'Toole and his alien Cons stumble around with their shiny pokey noses, lying like thieves.
But almost nobody in our corrupted media calls them out.
So the truth must struggle to survive.
I must admit I had no idea Erin O'Toole could endure so much humiliation, and like the Eveready bunny still keep going.
I honestly thought that when Harper's former flak Andrew MacDougall, accused him of "flapping around like a coked-out, second-string Fox News host," O'Toole would finally get the message, and resign.
Before his own ugly Cons chew him up, and spit him out.
But he didn't resign. So now he has been humiliated. Again !!!!
The big snow storm came rushing up from the south, it hit Toronto hard, and for a while it made getting around much of the city difficult and dangerous.
