Stephen Harper has whipped up hatred against a group of Canadians. He has made hooded bigotry the centrepiece of his foul campaign.
He has tried to set this country on fire.
He has shamed us in the eyes of the world, by making us look us look like dumb rednecks from Alabama or Albertonia...
And now we are reaping his harvest of hatred.
It was almost dark when I got back to the waterfront. A cold wind was whipping across the lake. But I could see the lights of the boat coming to pick me up.
Just like with only ten days to go, I think I can see the light at the end of our long Harperland nightmare.
For what a difference a day can make.
He insisted that he had done all he could to help those desperate Syrian refugees.
He tearfully claimed that he was torn up by the death of poor little Alan Kurdi.
But now it turns out that months before that tragedy he personally intervened to deny help to the most vulnerable refugees.
He just can't let go of that burning issue. He's got the bit, or the niqab, between his teeth.
Stephen Harper really is trying to use bigotry to win the election.
And he will miss no chance to pour fuel on the flames.
Well we know how the Cons tried to steal the last election, and that most of the robocall gang got away.
And we know Boss Harper and his mob.
We know that if they are prepared to use naked bigotry to try to win an election, they are capable of ANYTHING.
So call me paranoid, but I find this rather alarming.
Well I'm sure you remember the time comedian Mary Walsh aka Marg Delahunty, surprised Rob Ford in his driveway dressed up as a warrior princess.
And how that shocking confrontation ended badly with Mayor Bobo calling the police.
And I can certainly remember how shocked I was to catch her in the act back in 2004 French kissing Stephen Harper.
I was going to write a post about young Canadians and the campaign to get them to vote. But like so many of them I was just too tired, after attacking the punching bag at the gym like I wanted to kill it.
I had to, I was that angry.
For this this was the day when the horror of this campaign finally sank in, and made me explode with rage. Rage at the bigotry of the Cons, or at other bloggers for seeming to surrender.
Because I just can't believe to what monstrous place Stephen Harper has taken us.
In my last post I wrote about how Stephen Harper and his filthy Cons want to torture and kill gay kids.
And since we all know how he is using bigotry to hijack this election.
When I see how some progressives are moaning and groaning or surrendering to despair. Or playing stupid partisan games. Or trying to figure out how many angels can fit on the head of a pin.
I've gotta say I really like this song.
Stephen Harper has always been a stealthy but vicious enemy of the LGBT community.
He has voted against every bill or measure designed to protect their human rights.
He believes that being gay is just a choice.
And now I see one of his candidates is following in his master's ghastly footsteps.
And advocating the torture of gay children.
Stephen Harper and his Aussie attack monster Lynton Crosby must be delighted.
Not only do they now have the Trans-Pacific Partnership deal to wave around as a shiny bauble to try to distract voters.
The niqab issue is back in the spotlight.
The Federal Court of Appeal has denied the application for a stay of the Federal Court ruling in favour of Zunera Ishaq, clearing the way for her to wear a niqab during a citizenship ceremony.
So they can hope to keep riding it to victory.
