Homosexuality is kind of Engle's core issue: He helped organize a huge rally in support of California's Proposition 8, which affirmed that marriage was between one man and one woman. He called gay marriage "a sexual insanity" that would "release a spirit" in California "more demonic than Islam."
Most recently, Engle has been in the hot seat again for saying that the Joplin, Missouri tornado was the beginning of "God's redemptive judgment" against abortion.
Gawd. I mean Jebeebebus. The good news? The stadium was half empty. And it might have been billed as a Day of Prayer and Fasting.
Because can you IMAGINE what might have happened if it wasn't? In Amerika? Praise the Lord, and pass the cheeseburgers !!!!!
And my absolutely fave part? The wingnuts from the International House of Prayer (IHOP) are apparently embroiled in an ugly legal dispute with The International House of Pancakes.
(In case you're wondering, yes, the International House of Pancakes did sue IHOP-KC for trademark dilution and infringement last September. The case was settled out of court in December. Correction: The trademark infringement lawsuit filed in California has been dropped; a new suit against International House of Prayer was filed in the U.S. District Court in Western Missouri and is ongoing.)
Because somehow that seems so fitting.

Because that old hooker will say ANYTHING for money. And I also see that the equally ridiculous Con bore Mark Steyn says Coulter is asking for it. And he's outraged. I mean OUTRAGED.
As I say, be polite but withering. He has after all explicitly threatened a visitor to Canada from a friendly country in a manner more suited to banana republic police chiefs.
And, if he insists his threats are not mere masturbatory posturing, tell him to contact Chief Commissar Jennifer Lynch, QC direct, and advise her that I'll be covering the hearing.
Yawn. And I'm sure our own Speechy Weechy Warriors are OUTRAGED too. Because Coulter is such a good friend of Canada. "They better hope the United States doesn't roll over one night and crush them," she said on Hannity & Colmes in 2004. "They're lucky they're allowed to be on the same continent as the United States."
And I bet those Cons would LOVE to roll over, have the RepubliCon hooker put on some pointy heels, and walk all over them. As for yours truly... I think La Coulter should be allowed to make a fool out of himself herself. Because better a hooker than a martyr eh? Besides it's always useful for the Cons to show us how AmeriCon they are. And I'd give ANYTHING to see Kathy Shaidle show Coulter how much she admires him her. And then if we don't like what he she says, we can tell him her what we think. Or send the RepubliCon hooker a love letter. Like Henry Rollins did...

I just heard about the murder of the heroic abortion provider Dr George Tiller. I'm too angry to write about how I really feel. So I'll leave it up to JJ. Or Dave at the Galloping Beaver. And all I ask anyone reading this post is to read this story. I can take an anxious woman, who is in the biggest trouble she has ever experiences in her life, and by performing a five-minute operation, in comfort and dignity, I can give her back her life. Then watch the first minute of this video.

Some crazed loser may have pulled the trigger, but the Christian Taliban of the anti-choice movement set him up to it with their deranged, violent rhetoric. So they must share the blame. And that's all I can say without losing it. Except to say that George Tiller was a good doctor, a brave man, a quiet champion of women's rights, and my hero FOREVER. As are all the other heroic abortion providers. The anti-choice movement is riddled with dangerous terrorists....and their supporters. And they must be CRUSHED...
