As I'm sure you know, I have always believed that the Con clown Doug Ford is totally unfit to be the Premier of Canada's largest and most powerful province.
And the pandemic has made it even clearer that he doesn't know what he is doing.
But yesterday the bloated buffoon hit a new low on the Con scale of incompetence.
With a Con clown comedy show that wasn't funny, but was truly scary.
Just over two years ago the Con fluffer Paul Wells promoted this ghastly gang of Con carbon tax deniers, calling them The Resistance.
And claiming they were "Justin Trudeau's worst nightmare."
Less than a year later Trudeau defeated Andrew Scheer and shrunk him down to size.
And yesterday he turned the others into big time losers.
It's hard not to feel just a little bit sorry for Erin O'Toole, after the way he was humiliated by his supporters at the Con convention.
And the way the whole world has been laughing at the Con climate change deniers.
But that would be a mistake, for O'Toole does not appear to have learned his lesson.
Conservative Leader Erin O'Toole brushed off the idea Tuesday that a vote by the party's grassroots on climate change should colour Canadians' opinion of his party.
"I'm the leader, I'm in charge," O'Toole said a press conference as he reiterated his pledge that his party will present a plan to address climate change ahead of the next election.
And is instead leading his broken party in a new and dangerous direction.
It was supposed to be Erin O'Toole's big night. His Cinderella moment when he would step out of his shiny outhouse coach.
And announce that his Cons had to become new/nouveau if they were going to overthrow the evil Justin Trudeau.
And make O'Toole Prime Minister.
But sadly for him, as in the old fairy tale, the ball ended badly.
There are now only two days to go before the Con Policy Convention is due to begin, and Erin O'Toole is trying to pretend he's looking forward to it.
The truth is he's TERRIFIED.
He seemed to have a cold, and a steady stream of snot flowed out of his left nostril, until he finally picked up his mask, and used it to wipe himself.
*Shudder*
But I don't think it was the cold that was making him look so diminished.
I think it's this existential threat...
In my last post I wondered whether Erin O'Toole was losing control of his ugly Cons.
Now just a few days later, it's clear that old Outhouse is in big big trouble.
Not only is he losing control, many of his SoCon zombies are revolting.
The nice guy part went down the toilet, literally, the other day. When he was seen on tape cackling with glee at the thought of forcing Justin Trudeau to move into an outhouse.
Which was weird and disgusting, but did make only too clear why old Outhouse must NEVER be prime minister. Not when he has no class.
And not when he can't restrain himself or his ugly Cons.
Sometimes when the sun shines, and it almost feels like Spring, I can feel the optimism in the air. The feeling that we have finally turned the corner in the war on Covid-19.
There are fewer Covid patients in our ICUs. The number of deaths is going down. The number of vaccinated Canadians is steadily growing.
But I also know that all kinds of variants are spreading like wildfire.
And that while many of us have been damaged by the pandemic, in one way or the other.
