Donald Trump and the End Game Scenarios

They've been praying up a storm at the White House, laying their hands on Donald Trump.

And begging for heavenly intervention, or at least a get-out-of-jail card.

But it's going to take more than the power of prayer to save Trump and his corrupt regime.

And nobody knows that more than the mad king himself.

For why else would he be proclaiming his power to pardon everybody, including himself?

A defiant President Trump unleashed a flurry of nearly a dozen tweets Saturday morning, asserting that he has the “complete power to pardon” aides, family members and possibly even himself — an apparent response to the special counsel’s widening Russia probe — and decrying “illegal leaks” in the “FAKE NEWS.”

If he hasn't done anything wrong.

And why would he defend his Attorney General Jeff Sessions from this story?

The Post reported late Friday that U.S. intelligence officials had collected information that Russia's ambassador to the United States had told superiors that he had discussed campaign-related matters and policies important to Moscow last year with Jeff Sessions, then a senator who had endorsed Trump.

After threatening to fire him just the other day, for daring to recuse himself from the Russia investigation, and acting like a monkey or a gremlin on his back.

And what with Robert Mueller expanding his investigation to include Trump's business transactions.

The U.S. special counsel investigating possible ties between the Donald Trump campaign and Russia in last year’s election is examining a broad range of transactions involving Trump’s businesses as well as those of his associates, according to a person familiar with the probe.

And Trump and his mob looking for ways to discredit Mueller and/or fire him...

Jennifer Rubin has seen enough, is declaring that his presidency can't be saved.

And offering up these end game scenarios.

With this one being the one I consider the most likely:

Republicans join Democrats in warning Trump not to fire Mueller. Mueller remains and keeps digging. Mueller subpoenas damaging documents; Trump refuses to comply. A court orders him to comply. He declares this a witch hunt, an attack on his family (or whatever). Then he resigns, claiming he has already made America great. He tells the country that Vice President Pence will carry on in his place.

LESSON: Congress must protect Mueller and preserve the possibility that Trump may be forced to resign.

And of course, this one being my favourite:

Republicans join Democrats in warning Trump not to fire Mueller. Mueller subpoenas damaging documents. Trump complies. The evidence of collusion and/or obstruction is overwhelming. Mueller recommends prosecution or impeachment. The GOP turns on Trump, who is impeached and removed (with the GOP by that time possibly in the minority in one or both houses).

LESSON: Congress must protect Mueller and pay the price for failure to oppose Trump’s nomination and election.

The one where the Republican Congress is reduced to a smoking ruin.

Trump is found guilty of collusion or massive corruption.

And sent to the place where he can be treated...

Or the place where he belongs...

Talk about beating a dead horse. Do you really want Mike "Shock The Gay Away" Pence to become President?

He will fire Mueller, but Mueller like the decent and brilliant Comey, will have a back up plan. It will only get worse after he fires him.
What is crazy is that you just now that the pardon and indictment issues will be heading all the way to the Supreme Court. Robert Mueller has a lawyer on his team who has argued 100 cases at the Supreme Court, the most ever. We can all see where this is headed and I could see fuck face begging Russia to take him and his grifter family in.
Another name you probably haven't heard yet is that of Eric Schneiderman....but you will...

Your preferred scenario rests on a shaky foundation, namely that "Republicans join Democrats." A party willing to vote to kick 23 to 33 million Americans off health insurance for no other reason than to stick it to Obama is not a party that will "join Democrats" in impeaching a Republican president.

The orange orangutan seems to be following the his real estate developer playbook. Promise the marks immense riches and when it doesn't work out and the legal issues start, counterattack with an army of "lawyers" well trained in the art of guerrilla warfare. This includes counter suits, smear campaigns on any opposition (plaintiffs /lawyers/judges),bribes,withholding evidence, stalling tactics, etc. The net result is usually a stalemate/bankruptcy where the plaintiffs get pennies on the dollar and he walks away with the millions that were siphoned off during the course of the venture. Its not inconceivable that his presidency will end the same way. The family walks away with billions and the American people although somewhat poorer are wiser for the experience. Its not the best case but the scales are heavily weighted to worse outcomes, many which were well underway before he arrived on the scene.
Game On! We are starting to see the formidable depth of his well tested playbook.

My American friends tell me that Pence is even scarier than Dolt 45, however, my Albertan friends tell me they would trade Trudeau, their current premier - 2 for 1 - and take Trump any day.

Please, tell me who are these Alabambertans!

He won't start a nuclear war

hi anon...I don't like Pence, but his anti-gay agenda doesn't scare me one bit. While Trump on the other hand is a clear and present danger to life on this planet. There are no good choices, but one is marginally better than the other...

hi Lulymay...I have no idea who these Alabambertans are, but I will find out, and I will join others in fighting them. For those Trumplings are rearing their ugly heads all over Canada, and we must remind them what country they live in...

hi anon...well I would give anything to see the Trump mob arriving in Moscow to claim political asylum, it would be hilarious and I want the screen rights. But yes, I don't think Trump understands that he can't push Mueller around, and get away with it. And I think he's going to learn that the hard way...

hi anon...I admit that my favourite scenario where the GOP turns on Trump and impeaches him is pretty optimistic if not wishful thinking. But remember, it's not that I believe that the Republicans will suddenly sprout wings and halos. I just think that when they come to fear that Trump could drag them down with him, they will do anything to save themselves...

hi anon 11:40...Yes, not starting a nuclear war definitely works in Pence's favour... ;)

hi RT...yes you're right, it is right out of his real estate developer playbook or the Art of the Deal. And I wouldn't be surprised if he loots the U.S. treasury before he is evicted from power. But remember, he is splashing around in the deep end of the pool, he is making it up as he goes along, so sooner or later he could sink to the bottom like a lead balloon...
