Well as you know, and as I mentioned the other day, Stephen Harper has set out to try to woo the province of Quebec.
Or at least the people in the relatively small region in and around Quebec City, where he is planning to hold a special cabinet meeting.
The rare cabinet meeting to be held outside Ottawa, which is in preparation for early September, will allow Mr. Harper to promote the role of Conservative Fathers of Confederation in protecting the rights of the provinces when Canada was founded in 1867.
Because in the rest of the province his amatory advances wouldn't stand a chance...
But so deranged and desperate is Great Leader, that he has started comparing himself to George-Étienne Cartier.
And claiming credit for vanquishing the SEPARATISTS !!!!
I only wrote one post about the Quebec election, because I knew that Pauline Marois' hideous version of the Parti Québécois was going to lose, from the moment she embraced Pierre Karl Péladeau.
And he raised his fist in the air and with a crazed look on his face demanded a country. Even though polls showed that an overwhelming majority of Quebecers didn't want another referendum.
And would make absolutely sure that the PQ couldn't hold one.
But who knew that the Concrete Lady would hit the ground so hard?
Well it wasn't a total surprise, but it was still a stunning sight.

Pierre-Karl Péladeau, controlling shareholder of the Quebecor media empire, on Sunday announced he will run for the Parti Québécois, saying his top motivation is to make Quebec independent.
“My joining the Parti Québécois is tied to my most intimate and profound values and that is to say I want Quebec to become a country,” he told supporters in the riding of St-Jérôme, just north of Montreal, where he will be running in the April 7 provincial election.
There are many things to worry about what Stephen Harper might do to Canada, especially now that he is desperate.
From forcing through his pipelines at gunpoint, to threatening the future of our medicare system.
But what I fear the most is that he might, for cheap political reasons, harness anti-Quebec sentiment in this country, and leave Canada shattered and broken.
And this is definitely a step in that direction.
It was a wonderfully warm sunny day in Toronto today.
A great day off to relax and pretend that summer is still here.
I went to the beach, I spotted my second Monarch butterfly of the season in some flowers near the Island Club House, and I got to pet the baby alpaca at Far Enough Farm.
In short, it was almost the perfect day eh? Until I got home, a friend from Montreal called me and said: "I suppose you're going to write something about the Quebec Charter of Values."
And I felt like collapsing and screaming NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Golly. I see Stephen Harper FINALLY got a chance to show why some weird religious organization, named him the Statesman of the Year.
No. Not at this meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu, the creator of the "Bibi Bomb" as inspired by the Road Runner.
Because that was just man love.
Like every other Canadiens fan I was stunned by tonight's result.
How could this happen I wondered. For the first time in the playoffs we outshoot a team and we LOSE?
And the brilliant Halak turns into a sieve. And I put the lucky wooden chicken I bought in Mexico on top of the TV and it doesn't WORK?

And then I realized what was behind this shocking result. It was obviously the sovereignty curse.
In her closing speech to a Parti Québécois meeting Sunday, PQ leader Pauline Marois drew a parallel between her party’s goal of making Quebec a sovereign country and the Montreal Canadiens’ quest for the Stanley Cup.
“The whole nation is vibrating in tune with a team of players who were called too small, not talented enough, not proud enough to win” Marois said.
“Today, like Quebecers, it is because they played as a team, that they sacrificed themselves for the team, that they can aspire to the highest honour,” Marois said.
“When we have solidarity, determination, pride we can succeed at everything, starting with the sovereignty of Quebec.”
Or the curse of Pauline Marois. What an idiot. And trust her to forget to mention this:
