For months Andrew Scheer tried to keep his hyper inflated India story going, in the hope that it would make him more popular than Justin Trudeau.
And for a while it seemed to work.
Just a few weeks ago an Ipsos poll suggested him and his Cons were heading for a crushing victory, maybe even another majority.
If an election were held tomorrow, the Liberals would receive 31% of the national popular decided vote (down 2 points since early March), while the Conservatives would receive 38% of the vote (unchanged) and would win the election.
But not any longer.
Ever since Justin Trudeau's trip to India was made to look like a disaster by the shabby stooges in the Con media, Andrew Scheer has gone crazy with Indian fever.
He's still trying to make the India story sound like it's the biggest story in Canada.
Even though it died of old age weeks ago...
But so desperate is Scheer to try to revive it, and get some of that poll boosting buzz back, he has been scouring every newspaper and supermarket tabloid in India hoping to find some evidence to use against the Prime Minister.
So you can imagine how horribly excited he must have been, when he thought he had caught Trudeau being humiliated by the Indian government.

Andrew Scheer was without a doubt the worst Speaker of the House of Commons in modern Canadian history.
A Speaker so biased, so incompetent, and so depraved, that he allowed his fellow Cons to make a mockery out of our Parliament.
Cutting off debate, heckling and howling like beasts, stomping around like bullies, defecating on our values and traditions, until the Commons resembled nothing less than a Roman or fascist circus.
And now Scheer has shown his contempt for Parliament again.
A few months ago, Hamish Marshall, the Rebel co-founder who is now the Con's campaign manager, addressed the annual gathering of uber right-wingers at the Manning Centre.
And told them that if the Harper Party was ever going to return to power, it needed to regain the support of ethnic communities it had lost during the last election campaign.
But his new boss and fellow Rebel groupie Andrew Scheer clearly wasn't listening.
For in his desperate attempt to dump on Justin Trudeau's trip to India, with the help of his Con media groupies.
He may have just shot himself in the foot, and further reduced his slim chances of winning the next election.
Ever since the Liberal government tabled its new budget, Andrew Scheer has been looking distinctly under the weather.
Or as one might say a little less delicately, looking like a man losing his marbles.
But while we can all understand how he feels. The new budget is a masterful political document that will boost Justin Trudeau's already very good chance of winning the next election.
Scheer's behaviour can only be described as bizarre.
