Oh no. Call the Old Boys Club. Peter MacKay has made a complete fool out of himself. Again. He just can't get sexism out of his system. Justice Minister Peter MacKay has raised eyebrows once again over what some consider old-fashioned and patronizing attitudes toward women. And still has one message for men and one message for women: "By the time many of you have arrived at the office in the morning, you’ve already changed diapers, packed lunches, run after school buses, dropped kids off at daycare, taken care of an aging loved one and maybe even thought about dinner." And I have to be brutally honest eh? I'm starting to think that they don't call him Dumbo for nothing.
Uh oh. Mayday. Mayday. It seems that Peter Dumbo MacKay is more of a frequent flyer on Air Taxpayer than even I thought.
Peter MacKay has racked up nearly $3 million worth of flights on the government's Challenger jets since assuming the role of defence minister in 2007, documents obtained by CTV News reveal.
And the worst part? When his office was asked about it YESTERDAY, this is what one of his flunkeys said:
"In approximately 50 per cent of the total challenger flights minister MacKay has taken, he has taken these flights to attend the repatriation of fallen military personnel," spokesman Jay Paxton told CTV News in an email.
When in fact:
Documents show that out of 35 flights, only nine were for repatriation ceremonies. In fact, many of the flights were for press conferences and political announcements.
And the best news? When Stephen Harper was asked about this airborne scandal TODAY, he also lied.
He invoked fallen soldiers in defending his minister, saying half of Mr. MacKay’s flights were to attend repatriation ceremonies where the remains of dead troopers were returned to Canada.
“Half of those flights are for repatriation ceremonies so that he can meet the families of those who have lost their loved ones in the service of this country. He goes there to show that we understand their sacrifice, we share their pain and we care about them,” the Prime Minister said.
The latest problems emerged when the ethics commissioner Mary Dawson said it looked fishy that MacKay took a private vacation at the Burnt Rattle fishing camp, which is reportedly partly owned by the chairman of a Crown corporation that runs passenger and commercial ferries between Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.
Oh no. Poor Dumbo. First he lost the PC party, then he lost Belinda, then he lost Afghanistan, then he lost his credibility, then he lost his ethics.
And now he'll probably lose his job, or be grounded, for making Great Ugly Leader look like an IDIOT.
Because I can only imagine the ghastly scene in the PMO tonight. Great Ugly in a rage, rolling on the floor, biting the carpet, and screaming: "I know I'm now the Dictator of Canada but didn't ANYONE read yesterday's press clippings !!#&#!
In fact, I understand the atmosphere has become so unbearable, that Harper's kittens... the ones he keeps in a drawer in his office for use during photo-ops... have heard how easy it is to rent an executive jet.
And they're desperately trying to escape...
Before Darth Harper force feeds them MacKay's liver.
Seriously eh? We always knew they were incompetent, ridiculous, dangerous, and definitely fishy.
Golly. I went down to the farm this afternoon to check with my financial advisers, after hearing about this horrible meltdown.
But when I got there I discovered little Jimbo Flaherty had beaten me to it. Because he's DESPERATE for any kind of advice. And who can blame him eh?
He didn't see it coming, he doesn't know what he's doing. And now he's reduced to jumping up and down and screaming like a tiny banshee.
"As you can see, the markets are reacting," Flaherty said, alluding to Thursday's plunge on global stock and commodity markets. "There's a need for an exercise of political will -- a political decision making in Europe."
Can you believe it? Trying to blame the Europeans for HIS mistakes. Because let's be clear. The Europeans have all of us fastening our seatbelts wondering which country is going to hit the ground first. And what's going to hit us a souvlaki or a pizza pie.
But little Jimbo's fatal error was putting all our eggs in one basket. He turned us into a nation of hewers of rocks and drawers of oil. He allowed the red hot market for commodities to destroy our manufacturing industries. Instead of using the stimulus money to diversify our economy, and create new green jobs, him and his Con gang used it to build gazebos, and BUY votes.
And he forgot what even my feathered advisers know. When it comes to commodities, what goes up, ALWAYS comes down...

And now we're ALL screwed.
Oh boy. If I wasn't so scared of being poor, and never being able to afford a fancy iPad, I'd be really worried about Jimbo. I fear he's blowing so much hot air out of his tiny pie hole he might just EXPLODE.
I think it's about time Dumbo MacKay picked him up and took him on a little vacation training mission.
Holy Flying Ravioli God. Now we know why those fancy jets are going to cost so much. They have to have two seats instead of just one. One for the pilot and the other for the cabinet minister or the general. And a baggage compartment big enough for golf clubs and fishing rods.
Gawd. Who knew the Cons could be so incompetent and so corrupt so soon? Who knew so many Canadians could be so stoopid as to vote for them?
And will they please identify themselves, by tattoing a big scarlet "D" for dumb on their cro-magnon foreheads? So we can shun them, try to prevent them from reproducing, or throw goose eggs at them in the streets.
Or better still...how about we line them up? Get a humungous skipping rope.
And see if they can beat these jumping doggies...
Golly. They're so dumb I bet they could. And wouldn't that be great eh? Then Stephen Harper and Jimbo Flaherty could puff out their chests, and strut around like geese squawking "We're number one !!!" And for once they wouldn't be WRONG.
Yup. Con times are hard times. And these are going to be brutal. But there is some good news.
We can use the coming recession to unite the left and destroy the Con brand. Grind them down and humiliate them. And when the next election finally arrives, or they're forced to resign, they'll be gone for a GENERATION.
Hey. The way I see it, if it takes a brutal recession, or a meteorite hit, or the sight of hundreds of thousands of people marching in the streets, if it helps drive those incompetent, ideological maniacs from power.
Oh no. Duck and cover. Where's the Red Baron when we need him? I KNEW it was a bad idea to make Peter Dumbo MacKay the Minister of Defence.
First he lost the PC Party, then he lost Belinda, then he lost Afghanistan, then he lost the secret base in the UAE. And now I fear he's losing hismind.
Canada is looking at setting up bases around the world to better position the military to participate in international missions, Defence Minister Peter MacKay confirmed Thursday.
OK. Let me get this straight. We're spending billions in Afghanistan. A disaster if ever there was one, no matter what Great Warrior Poseur Leader says.
We're about to spend billions on new stealth fighters. We're spending millions every week bombing Libya. And who knows how long we're going to be there.
And now we are looking to lease bases all over the world? So we can get involved in even more little warlets, when the U.S. is running in the other direction, because it can't afford them anymore?
Even though we're running a massive deficit, sitting on a personal debt balloon, on the razor edge of another brutal recession?
Oh boy. If we must build bases wouldn't it be better to build them in the north, so we can figure out who is splashing around in our territorial waters? And how about we declare war on poverty in Canada instead? Or launch an all-out assault on this shameful problem?
Dr. Robert Schroth, a specialist in pediatric dentistry at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, says he has seen aboriginal children from remote communities with 18 out of 20 of their baby teeth rotting away.
Because some wars are more important than others. And there is only so much money to go around. Especially since the Cons are cutting corporate taxes.
So you know where this one is going...
But what also bothers me is the grinding jingoism of these Cons. And their absurd delusions of grandeur...
"The focus of the planning, let's be clear, is our capability for expeditionary participation in international missions.... We are big players in NATO. We're a country that has become a go-to nation in response to situations like what we're seeing in Libya, what we saw in Haiti...
Because I can't imagine anything more embarrassing than seeing Canadians strutting around the world, beating their little chickenhawk breasts, bragging that we're the "go-to nation" that can't fight enough wars. Like a mouse that roared.
Dumbo, Dumbo, you loser. Who do you think we are?
The Duchy of Grand Fenwick ?
But at least the go-to nation of Grand Fenwick set out to lose. And won by mistake.
With these dangerous Cons setting out to conquer the world.
Now that Gen. Walter Natynczyk has jogged his memory, changed his story, and fired a torpedo into the Con torture and rape cover-up.
Gen. Walter Natynczyk, Canada's top military commander, is now saying a suspected Taliban fighter abused by Afghan police in June 2006 had been detained by Canadian troops, contrary to comments he made Tuesday.
And we know that the detainee who was abused wasn't the only one. The sergeant also wrote that the man was photographed "prior to handing him over, to ensure that if the [Afghan National Police] did assault him, AS HAS HAPPENED IN THE PAST, we would have a visual record of his condition." And that the Cons are liars or idiots. Or both. The Conservative government has said there is no evidence that Afghan detainees in Canadian custody who were subsequently handed over to Afghan officials before 2007 were abused. All I need to know now is why did it take them 18 long months to do something about it? Why did they make sure that the detainees we handed over to the Afghans were the LAST to get a visit from the Red Cross? It was while this odd Kandahar to Ottawa to Geneva to Kandahar shuffle was going on that detainees would be under the greatest threat of torture and other abuses.
Was it just a case of bureaucratic hyper-caution, flowing possibly from the micro-managing style of the Harper government? Or was there something more sinister at play? And will Peter MacKay resign or be fired? Because I've got a blue party hat and a black one, and I need to know which one to wear. Although after reading that, and seeing this picture of the Con front bench in Question Period today, I'm guessing FIRED...
Because as they say a picture is worth a thousand words eh?
And when Stephen Harper looks like he's praying while you're up on your feet trying to defend yourself, you know it's the Con equivalent of finding a horse's head in your bed. Next comes the stinky fish wrapped up in the Globe and Mail. The record speaks for itself on what the Canadian government knows, or should have known, about the torture of Afghan detainees. It speaks far louder than the falsehoods from the government that have by now become routine. If these falsehoods are offered unintentionally, one wonders how senior government ministers can be so ignorant of the contents of such an important file. Gawd. Is this an organized cover-up...or an organized crime? Is this a government or the MOB?
Wow. What a difference a day makes.Yesterday it looked as if we were going to war with Russia. It was the Big Story in our dumbo media. Yesterday they couldn't stop yapping about it. Today it had fallen off their radar screens. All was quiet on the Eastern front. And at least one journalist was wondering what the fuss was all about. And why the MSM was played like a fiddle. The military officers I was talking to yesterday were full of kudos for Defence Minister Peter MacKay for a move that one described as “playing the media like a finely-tuned fiddle.” The officer was referring to the breathless Canadian news media coverage of the flight of two Russian bombers that were “intercepted” by Canadian CF-18s. Yesterday’s incident prompted some amusement at NDHQ about how gullible some in the news media can be and how easily some journalists swallowed the government’s bait hook, line and sinker. Gawd. Can you believe it eh? A dumbo like Peter MacKay playing the dumbo media like a finely-tuned FIDDLE? Eeeh AWW Eeeh AWW. Talk about a symphony of IDIOTS. What kind of criminally irresponsible Con do you have to be to create a diplomatic incident for the sake of a PR stunt? What kind of dumb carp do you have to be to go for it..... hook, line, and SINKER? Oh well...I suppose we should be grateful at least ONE member of the MSM saw through the sham. Although I suppose so did Paul Wells...sort of. Because when a government pulls a stunt like that it really deserves to get nailed. And a picture isn't enough. You just GOTTA run the video...
And then make sure that Harper and his gang of irresponsible Con Klowns ride this bomb...this diplomatic doo doo drop....this Strangelove FARCE. All the way to the next ELECTION. Is that too much to ask of our useless dumbo media? Oh probably. How do you say " I surrender" in Russian AND Canadian? Vodka anyone?
