As we all know Andrew Scheer would prefer to spend all his time trying to smear Justin Trudeau with his own unique brand of political pornography.
But while that does get his base into a sticky state of ecstasy, every now and then he has to give his more moderate supporters another slightly more positive reason to vote for him.
So he appeals to their naked greed, with ads like this one.
For more than two years Andrew Scheer has been screeching and wailing about how the Canadian economy is an absolute disaster.
And of course accusing Justin Trudeau of "failing" about ten times a day.
But he won't be able to do that any longer without looking even more like a Con clown or a sad little maniac.
I can't imagine what the mood at Con headquarters must have been like today.
Or how Andrew Scheer and his ex-Rebel campaign manager Hamish Marshall must be feeling after their ghastly gang was hit by two massive blows, that just might cost the Cons the election.
First the Admiral Norman Affair, that they had been hoping would be another fake scandal they could use to destroy Justin Trudeau, went down like a lead balloon. Or the Titanic.
And made the Cons rather than the Liberals look bad.
Pity poor Andrew Scheer, he's never looked more like a loser. He just can't seem to do anything right.
He has tried everything to try to smear and destroy Justin Trudeau. And I mean EVERYTHING.
But it's just not working.
Last week he was rummaging through the closet of kooky conspiracies, claiming that the U.N. Global Compact for Migration was a plot to undermine our sovereignty and erase our borders.
Only to be made to look like a serial liar. Again.
He must have been nervous when he left Ottawa early yesterday morning to go and see Donald Trump.
He knew he would be dealing with a maniac, and that one false step could cost Canada millions of jobs.
But when the time came, Justin Trudeau made it look easy.
