Harper's Traitors and the Blogging Pollies

When I think of Stephen Harper's Conservatives these days I can't help but remember this famous picture of a group of Young Republicans during the darkest days of the AIDS crisis. Those frat boys probably thought they were funny and clever. But actually they were dum ugly and evil. Just like our Cons are...

They have debased our Parliament with their lies and their fascist tactics. They have disgraced our country in the eyes of the world. They don't know how to govern...all they can do is attack

Or carry on like Bush and his thugs tell them to do. These Cons aren't Canadians they're Amerikans.

"Everything we do serves our ultimate goal: a stronger, safer, better Canada ..."
-- Stephen Harper, Feb. 6, 2007.

"I not only want America to be safer and stronger, I want American to be better."
-- George Bush, Washington D.C., June 18. 2002.

And they're trying to destroy Canada. Take this latest hatemongering website.

As Rick Mercer notes...it's really an anti-French site.

This is the genius in the comedy. The dumb Frenchie can't speak English! Dion is not a leader because English is his second language and he makes mistakes. I am very curious to see if this will be the blog that breaks through in both English and French Canada...

As in breaking up the country....

And then there is the daily diet of Amerikan-style hate that spews out of the Blogging Tories like raw sewage.

Isn't that nice? Comparing the death of a kid who was killed because of who he was to that of another poor kid who was killed by sexual predators. Just to whip up hatred against gay people.

I guess we can whip up hatred against straight people because of these murders right? Wrong.

Look I know the people behind the Politic.com are known as The Pollies by a lot of my gay friends. Because they spend so much time talking about gay men ....just like Ted Haggard did...that we can't help feeling that those creepy closet queens are after us. As in before I kill you can I suck your cock?

You know how they say your ears turn red when somebody thinks about you? Well during my last tangle with The Pollies my dick practically glowed in the dark. I could FEEL the love.So I suppose I should thank them. Huh?

But it's still pretty vile stuff. The kind of bigotry and hate that is dividing Canadians and destroying our country. So they can hand it over to the United States.

If any Canadians still can't see what these traitor Cons are trying to do to Canada they must be blind, deaf, and really dum.

The good news? All of this is also a sign of desperation. The neocons are dying. George Bush is dead man walking. Jerry Falwell is rotting in his grave. And when it comes to gay rights...even in their beloved Amerika...we're winning.

And they're losing.

Gallup's annual Values and Beliefs survey, conducted each May, finds current public tolerance for gay rights at the high-water mark of attitudes recorded over the past three decades.

And the best news is this:

only 45% of people of over 55 years of age support “homosexuality as an acceptable alternative lifestyle”; whereas young people from ages 18-34 years old are 75% in favor...

Isn't that great ? Most of our enemies will soon be feeding the worms just like Jerry Falwell. Isn't life sweet?

The Pollies can squawk all they like. Suck you suck you. Kill you kill you. The neocon traitors can do their best to destroy this country. But nothing they do will work or save them. The raw sewage will be cleaned up.

Time is on our side.

And they're getting flushed...

The french in Quebec are the most rasist people in Canada, that is why they demand that they control all aspects of their province, i.e. immigration, so they can keep other cultures out, under the guise of preserving their culture.
Unillingual Quebec,Lanuage Police, what a load of shit!
The rest of Canada is forced to be billingual to cater to a few, costing billions of dollars.
If you think Dion is in any way the man to lead Canada then we are in deep shit, he couldn't operate an outhouse.
The downfall of Canada was electing french Prime Ministers to office, period!

In the unlikely event that anon is not a troll ?? .....

I am an Anglophone Canadian who recently spent almost two months in Quebec (and not as a tourist). I struggle with the French language and am sure I do it not justice - that is to say I did not blend it, I was obviously "from away". My experience was nothing short of wonderful, the people were very nice, totally accepting, very warm and most welcoming. I was made to feel so much at home that I will return again and again.

Anon – you would serve yourself better if you took the time and made the effort to see the residents of Quebec (like any other place in Canada and the world), as people, just like you and me, instead of forming a blanket opinion.

Sure there are good and not-so-good folks all over the world. Just look in your own back yard.

Sassy, and
i'll bet you think Cuba is a wonderful place as you stayed on the grounds of a hotel compound.

JJ, Canada has two official languages, Quebec has one, the reason they are becoming less and less a welcome partner in Canada.
Wise up!

Hi everyone!! I guess I should spell out my bias right away. I'm operating on the belief that English AND French together make this country a stronger, better, and more interesting place for EVERYONE. And I can say categorically that French Quebecers are NOT racist. They have passed laws to preserve their culture...they are after all only an island in the middle of an English-speaking sea...but poll after poll shows them to be the most tolerant people in Canada. It's not easy for English-speaking people to learn French...and after all these years I still don't feel like one of THEM. But as a proud Anglo-Quebecer I've always been made to feel at home and I've never experienced any racism.I'm not saying they are perfect...who is? But our country developed a genius for accomodating differences...and as long as we do we will remain strong and united.Which is what I want almost more than anything...
As for the poll on attitudes to gay people you are right UR it is something to celebrate. And we will win because our cause is noble and just. We just want want others have and nothing more. That's why we can't lose.
As for Dion...I was just making a (bad) joke about Stephane Dion who is leader of the Liberal Party of Canada who are the Official Opposition in Parliament. He speaks with a very thick French accent...which some people make fun of though they shouldn't...because he's actually a pretty decent man.
And Scout I guess what I thought Rick Mercer was picking up on is the whole idea of trying to ridiculize Dion (at least in English Canada) just because he's French.Just like they did with the first set of ads. It's like playing with fire. I can't imagine anything more irresponsible for a Canadian government to do.But then this one never ceases to surprise...or horrify me...
