When Even a Blogging Tory Dares Call the Harper Cons Thugs

The Blogging Tories isn't the Con aggregator it once was. It has fallen a long way since the days it once dominated the Canadian political blogosphere.

With only five posts in the last 24 hours by early this afternoon, compared to thirty-three for Progressive Bloggers.

And it remains the home of the kook, the crank, the anti-Muslim bigot, and the climate change denier.

But you know things are changing when one of them has dared take aim at Stephen Harper and his ghastly Cons. 

Why Progressives and Cons are so Different

Ever since I began blogging I've racked my brain trying to figure out why the progressive blogosphere and the Blogging Tories seem to exist in two different worlds.

Why our sites are so decent and nice, while the Con site seems to be written by a bunch of angry old white guys in their underwear...or WORSE. One hairy hand on their keyboards, the other one on their...um...tree branches.

And a few weeks ago I was soooooo excited because I thought I had found the missing link.

But it turns out they're not apes after all. Who knew eh? They just don't share our values.

While liberals tend to focus on questions of individual interaction, conservatives are placing greater emphasis on binding together groups with essential institutions.

He found that those on the left feel strongly about the first two (harm/care fairness/reciprocity) while being relatively indifferent toward the latter three. Conservatives however are drawn more to loyalty, authority and purity.

Which explains so much about those Cons.

Their herd mentality...
















Their racism, their Daddy knows best views, their homophobia, why so many are religious fanatics, why they view all "outsiders" as a threat.

Once again the Harper government is behaving just as an earlier Canadian government did with Jews anxiously seeking asylum from the Holocaust: slamming the door in their desperate faces.

Scary isn't it? It really makes you wonder what kind of totalitarian society.... LOYALTY... AUTHORITY... PURITY....they might impose on Canadians if they ever got a majority.

You know the kind of society the PMO's favourite blogger is hinting at here.

Now that we know how they think, and what they are planning, it's going to be so much easier to convince most Canadians that a Con majority would be a living NIGHTMARE.

Oh yeah...and one more thing. Since I know it will drive those Con climate change deniers bonkers. And it's Friday night.

The Blogging Tories and the Homophobes

I don't like a lot of things I read on the Blogging Tories. The racism, the xenophobia, the relentless assault on modernity. And of course the mediocrity of it all.

But I never bother to leave comments because I'm not interested in flame wars. And what's the point ? Why stir up the batty cave? And have them fly out at you... SQUAWK SQUAWK ...FART FART....IT'S THE LIEBERALS AND THE MOOOOOOSLIMS !!!!

But today I HAD to eh? Put on my rubber booties and wade into the pigshit and the insanity. Because this is the LIMIT.

I'm not going to bother explaining to Shane Edwards why the Cons are donating money to the Gay Pride parade. I'll leave that up to brother Mark.

But I do want The Politico.com to explain to me why they would allow the disgusting feminist basher and homophobic hatemonger Karol Karolak to promote hatred against gay people in the comments.

And why they would allow him to slander me.

(Note Karolak's vile comments have since been removed ....see note at the end of the post. But this is the line that concerned me)

BIG HOMO propaganda machine in a full swing again; Montreal Simon calls for confrontation and violence against heterosexuals in Canada.

By accusing me of promoting violence with this post.

Which of course is outrageous because I don't promote violence against ANYONE.

But here's what I don't understand. Karol Karolak is well known as probably the most disgusting homophobe in Canada. When he tried to hijack a thread on the BT Forums recently, Craig Smith had the decency to take it down.

So your Honour ....why won't The Politico.com ? And do you think they'll have the decency to apologize for giving Karol a forum to promote hatred, libel me, channel his crazies my way, and possibly endanger my life?

NOTE: The administrator who deleted Karolak's comments says he was not aware of them for 48 hours. And as soon as he saw them he deleted them. And that furthermore that neither he or his blog condone Karol's views. Not that I said that ...just asked why they were not deleted. See note at the end of the post.

Or at the very least bore me to death, or cause my fingers to hurt from hitting the delete button.

Hmmm...I wonder how much I can get for that? Especially since I play the piano eh?

And what does Stephen Taylor have to say about this? Is he proud of Karol? And will he share the court costs.... or put up his bail ?

I also want to say that I'm not intimidated by any of the death threats I'm receiving...although I recognize the police may think differently. In fact, in a certain way I'm DELIGHTED. Because I started off thinking I needed a new i-phone.... but now I think somebody is going to buy me another big-screen TV !!!!!

But seriously....can you imagine that kind of hatemongering material ever appearing on a progressive site? I can't either.

Which only goes to show what kind of people the ReformCons really are. Why this country has to be cleaned up.

And why we're so much BETTER than they are. Pat yourselves on the back my progressive family.

UPDATE: 22/06/09

This afternoon I was informed by the administrator of the Politic.com that all of Karol's offensive and libellous comments have been removed from that blog. And that the delay in deleting them was due to the fact he was unaware of them. And NOT because the Politico.com condoned Karolak's views. And I accept that explanation, although I still cannot understand how such comments should have been left up there so long.

I also want to say that although in my original post I believed the blog's author Shane Edwards was responsible for moderating comments I have been told that only the administrator can do that. So I can't blame Shane, and I'm sorry I did. Although I can't understand that since it was his post, and he was aware of my request he didn't write something or alert and administrator. For the complete exchange read the last few comments...

The Cons and the Big Black Squirrel

If I was a Stephen Harper Conservative I'd be very very afraid. The Big Black Squirrel is giving them the evil hungry eye.

As they become ever more desperate. And even more NUTTY.

This week, Conservatives fought back.

Against whom I wonder? Surely not the GritGirl? Who hasn't posted a video in more than a MONTH.

And what are we to make of this?

Good week for Conservatives, don’t you think?

No Stephen. I don't. And neither do SOOOOOO many others.

In fact the only way the week could have been WORSE, is if the entire Con caucus had been busted in a hotel room.....handing out envelopes of cash to underage hookers..... as part of their stimulus plan.

Which of course brings me to Taylor's next line:

I hear that Brian Mulroney did pretty well too!

OMG. When does a critical disconnect from reality become fullblown insanity? Somebody please tell Stephen that in the real world...as opposed to the fantasy one he lives in... it's three strikes and you're OUT.

Still yearning for affection like an annoying suitor who cannot accept rejection, he will not let Canadians forget what it was about him that they so disliked when he left politics 16 years ago...

But it gets worse. After a cheap joke carefully designed to hurt both Dhalla and Ignatieff...one no doubt carefully crafted by the crass political thugs in the PMO...we get this:

That's a rimshot? Or did he mean a rim JOB? And if so whose doing the rimming? Not Jason Kenney I hope. We wouldn't want another senior Con caught with his tongue in the cookie jar. Would we?

When the media pack got there, they found out that two officials, let's call them Kory Teneycke and Dimitri Soudas (as CanWest did), had taken a leave from their jobs. Just a one-day leave, so they could be Conservative partisans and talk to reporters about the ads they were releasing.

Oh boy. Are these Cons sleazy and DESPERATE? And how could Stephen Taylor get EVERYTHING wrong in one post? By suggesting that keyboard cat is a Con.

When everyone knows he's on OUR side. The Conservatives are the ones played out.

And the only animal act these pathetic Con pitbulls can expect at THEIR farewell... is John Baird in heat ... fighting off the rest of the caucus for one last chance to hump Great Loser Leader's leg.

And of course....bien sur.
