How The Star Joined The Con Media And Went After Trudeau
Over the years I've become accustomed, or numbed, to the disgusting way the ratty Con media have gone after Justin Trudeau.
I've become accustomed to the flinty ideologues at the National Post, wearing their Con sympathies on their sleeves, working feverishly to destroy Trudeau to pleasure themselves and their Big Oil Masters.
I've become accustomed to the dirty little Sun, and its stable of hacks, spewing Con excrement out of every orifice.
But who knew the Toronto Star was now one of them?

Why The Scheer Cons Are Still The Harper Party
Ever since it was recently revealed that Andrew Scheer consults his mentor Stephen Harper before making any major decisions, an old and deeply disturbing question is being asked again.
Who is the real leader of the Cons?
Some say Scheer aka Weak Andy is just humouring Harper because he's afraid of him...

Why The Trudeau Liberals Are Rising Again In The Polls
It was a grim winter for Justin Trudeau and his Liberals. A series of fake scandals, whipped into a frenzy by our shabby Con media, dragged down their polls.
And at one point it seemed that Andrew Scheer's sinister Cons were heading for a crushing majority. One that would finally allow them to mutilate Canada beyond recognition.
But after a cold spring, summer has finally arrived, and it seems that Scheer's shining vision of that godly majority is melting, or whatever...

Why Andrew Scheer's Climate Change Plan Is Such Sad Joke
When Andrew Scheer finally announced his "real plan to protect the environment" it was clear to me from the look on his face that he knew it was fraudulent.
And that only Cons and other furry creatures could believe him.
But since then the reviews have become even more brutal, even in the Con media.
With Andrew Coyne calling the "real plan" just a "prop" and others going even further.

Margaret Wente: The Clickbait Queen Finally Call It Quits
I've always amused myself by portraying the right-wing Trudeau hating columnist Margaret Wente as Marie Antoinette.
I can't remember why I started portraying her that way, but it was probably because of her snooty approach to everything.
But at any rate, I'm happy to report that our Marie Wente will keep her head.
But she is losing her job.
Will Climate Change Lead To Fascist Hell?
It's going to be a really hot day in France, and the beginning of a heatwave in Europe that some are already calling Hell Week.
Authorities have urged children and older people to stay indoors and issued severe warnings against dehydration and heatstroke as an unprecedented week-long heatwave begins its advance across continental Europe.
Meteorologists said temperatures would reach or even exceed 40C from Spain to Switzerland as hot air was sucked up from the Sahara by the combination of a storm stalling over the Atlantic and high pressure over central Europe.
And as if that wasn't sobering, or sweaty enough, then there's this grim prediction.

Why A Top Environmentalist Decided To Run For the Liberals
Steven Guilbeault is one of Canada's most distinguished environmentalists, and the co-founder of Équiterre, Quebec's largest environmental organization.
So when he let it be known that he was interested in entering the political arena, the Liberals, the NDP, and the Greens practically fell over each other trying to recruit him.
The NDP and the Greens were sure he would choose one of them because he is strongly opposed to any kind of fossil fuel pipelines.
But he disappointed both of them by choosing the Liberals.
Toronto Pride and the Inspiring Courage of Justin Trudeau
In the Ukrainian capital of Kiev yesterday about 8,000 people took part in a Pride march, that country's biggest one ever.
It was a proud moment for that country's oppressed LGBT community.
But police had to protect the marchers from neo-Nazis and other fascist scum who were threatening to attack them.
And if you thought that a similar threat couldn't happen here, at Canada's biggest Pride parade, you'd be wrong.

How Justin Trudeau's First Mandate Has Transformed Canada
In the dying hours of the 42nd Parliament, Justin Trudeau and his Liberals were still hard at work, trying to pass two major bills which the Cons and their Big Oil masters had been desperately trying to kill.
Bill C-48 which would ban oil tanker traffic off the north coast of British Columbia, and Bill C-69 which Cons like Jason Kenney call the "No More Pipelines Bill."
So needless to say when both bills passed, Kenney went ballistic...

Andrew Scheer's Disastrous Climate Change Announcement
Andrew Scheer must have put a lot of effort into finding a suitable green backdrop to finally unveil their long awaited climate plan.
Before settling on a watery body near Chelsea, Quebec.
But sadly for him he obviously put more thought into that than he did into his fake plan.
So only the Cons and other furry creatures were impressed.
The announcement was an epic failure.
Andrew Scheer, Doug Ford, and the Con Assault on Medicare
I still like that bobble-headed Andrew Scheer ad. It still makes me laugh.
But I do have one small problem with it.
It does make Scheer look like a bumbling weakling, a man who would never NO to Doug Ford. Or a man who always says YES to Jason Kenney and Stephen Harper.
But it also makes Scheer look like a nice guy, Canada's Howdy Doody Con doll.
When he definitely is NOT a nice guy.

The Greedy Canadians and the Pipeline Follies
If I was the Prime Minister of Canada I
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his cabinet have again approved the Trans Mountain expansion project, a crucial next step for the much-delayed pipeline project designed to carry nearly a million barrels of oil from Alberta's oilpatch to the B.C. coast each day.
I would have told Jason Kenney to shove that pipeline where the sun don't shine, and saved a good ten inches for Andrew Scheer.
For the world needs more oil pipelines like it needs a hole in the head, or another hole in the permafrost.

Stonewall and the Cowardly Homophobia of Andrew Scheer
This month will mark the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots that helped spark the rise of the gay liberation movement.
And all over the world Pride marches are taking place to celebrate the anniversary, and fire up the seemingly never-ending struggle for basic human rights.
A struggle that continues all over the world, even in Canada.

The Glory of the Raptors and the Hypocritical Cons
It was a neighbourhood party that began in a subdued manner, with Raptor's fans lining up for hours in the pouring rain to get into Jurassic Park.
But it ended with me needing a full day to recover.
For when the final buzzer sounded, and the Raptors were the new reigning champions, a massive roar rocked the neighbourhood.
And the place exploded.

Andrew Scheer's Most Painfully Embarrassing Week
It's been an embarrassing week so far for Andrew Scheer. On Monday he skipped Question Period so he could pose for pictures of himself dressed in a Raptor's red hoodie.
So he could pretend to be a fan, bask in the glory if they won, and no doubt blame Trudeau if they lost.
But as we know they did lose, there was no fake glory.
And instead the desperate Schmearmonger had to deal with not ONE, not TWO, but THREE massive embarrassments in a row.

The Day Doug Ford Was Made To Look Like An Ape

Doug Ford's Vacation and the Hidden Hand of Stephen Harper
When I heard that Doug Ford had decided to give himself and his government a five-month vacation until the federal election was over, I wasn't really surprised.
I'd heard he'd found running a province about a
But then I starting hearing stories that Andrew Scheer's Cons had put pressure on him to crawl under a rock before his plunging popularity also took them down...

The Raptors and the New Canada
It was another exciting and very loud night in my neighbourhood. The Raptors were playing and defeating the Golden State Warriors in Oakland, California.
But as they do every game thousands of Raptor fans had gathered in the place they call Jurassic Park, to watch the game on giant TVs and cheer on their heroes.
And when the Raptors won the party went on for hours.
The Total Humiliation of the Con Clown Lisa Raitt
Lisa Raitt has made a fool of herself many times in the course of her long and sordid career.
With one of the most notorious examples being the time she was overheard telling an assistant that cancer is "sexy."
And now that Con clown has done it again, with this ridiculous tweet.

Doug Ford's Sad and Pathetic Anniversary
He is without a doubt the worst premier Ontario has ever known, a dumb Con beast who has disgraced himself over and over again.
But as he prepares to celebrate his first anniversary in power he is giving himself and his government a five-month paid vacation.
And although many believe he is doing that so he can hide under a rock during the federal election campaign, so as not to do even more damage to Andrew Scheer's Cons.
He's bragging about his accomplishments, as only he can.
Is Justin Trudeau Risking Defeat By Supporting Women's Rights?
I've always suspected that the toxic Trudeau haters who swarm all over this country like foul smelling roaches, despise Trudeau for more than just his policies.
And that many who claim they hate him for buying a pipeline or whatever, really hate him for standing up so strongly for the rights of women like no prime minister ever has before him.
So I'm glad to see Susan Delacourt write about the misogynistic elephant in the room.

The D-Day Anniversary and Doug Ford's Ghastly Con Clowns
Guillaume Souvant/AFP/Getty Images
Today is a very special day in the history of Canada. The 75th anniversary of D-Day, when 14,000 of our soldiers joined the assault on Hitler's Atlantic wall.
Storming the beaches of Normandy to strike a massive blow for freedom.
Or in the immortal words of Toby Barrett, a Con member of the Ontario legislature, to pave the way for Doug Ford to sell beer in corner stores.

Donald Trump and the Baby Trump Balloon
When I was in Scotland last summer, I was thrilled to be able to witness Baby Trump rise the into the sky at a protest in an Edinburgh park.
Trump wasn't in Edinburgh, he didn't dare leave his tacky Turnberry golf course on the country's west coast.
But I still enjoyed seeing the famous blimp up close, and I laughed so much I almost turned orange myself.
So I was glad to see it being inflated in London other day, just in time to welcome Trump back to Britain.

Why Andrew Scheer Would Never Really Punish Michael Cooper
It's been only a week since Andrew Scheer declared that bigots are not welcome in his party.
“I find the notion that one’s race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation would make anyone in any way superior or inferior to anyone else absolutely repugnant. And if there’s anyone who disagrees with that, there’s the door. You are not welcome here.”
Only to have one of his MPs Michael Cooper behave like a bigot.
And receive only this gentle slap on the wrist.
Do The Liberals Have The Wind In Their Sails Again?
If any of you have been wondering why I haven't been blogging as often as I usually do, well wonder no longer.
For as you can see it is the sailing season, and after a long winter of fake scandals, Doug Ford, and bleak polls suggesting that Andrew Scheer could win the next election, I'm determined to enjoy every
However, even as I skim over the waves and let the cold clean wind scour away the horror of that nightmare winter, I can't forget that we are now only about four months away from an election.
And that if the Cons win that election we could soon be living in a nightmare world.

The Fake Rebranding of Andrew Scheer and his Cons
As you may have noticed, Andrew Scheer has been trying to remake the image of him and his Cons.
Trying to convince Canadians that he's really a nice guy.
Not the man commonly known as Schmearmonger, the depraved leader of the most bigoted party in modern Canadian history.
But unfortunately for Schmear, his record speaks for itself, and ugly is ugly.
