The Day Doug Ford Was Made To Look Like An Ape

As we all know Doug Ford's mental capabilities reside somewhere in the twilight zone between Con man, and angry ape.

So he's capable of saying and doing ANYTHING.

Saying he's FOR THE PEOPLE.

When of course he isn't...

Most of the time he gets away with it, because nobody has ever seen a horror show quite like it.

But occasionally the Fordzilla goes way over the line, like he does here...

Promoting an article by his hapless minister Lisa McLeod, claiming that the left-wing icon Tommy Douglas would have approved of Ford's slash and burn politics of austerity.

It may seem odd that a Conservative minister from Ontario would speak so highly of the former socialist premier of Saskatchewan. And yes, we would differ on a lot of things. But whatever our competing views on the role of government, Tommy Douglas recognized, as few have since, that a vision is meaningless without the means to make it a reality.

Put another way, it’s time to make government work for the people again — not the other way around. I think Tommy Douglas would approve.

Which had me staring at the screen in disbelief, wondering how low can those Cons go? And no doubt had Tommy Douglas spinning in his grave.

But that's when I was able to say thank goodness for Kiefer Sutherland...

For setting the record straight, making Lisa McLeod look even lamer...

Making Ford, who just gave himself and his government a five-month paid vacation look even more like a loser...

If that's possible.

And making Andrew Scheer no doubt regret the day he met Ford...

For every time he appears in the same picture with him Scheer loses even more points in Ontario.

And as for Ford what more can I say?

Except where is Jack Bauer when we need him?

Who will save us from the beast?

And when will this nightmare be finally over?

  1. The campaign must have struck a nerve because now they've gone nuclear. CTV/Fox North, Grossmedia and Scheer's propaganda team have already sent out countless op-eds and tweets on the defensive. They want to "expose" Engage Canada but of course say nothing about the various Proud groups or One Persuades. The fossil fuel cult that underwrites the Con media has so much riding on this election. So now the Cons have doubled down on the cruelty and are making fun of Justin's speech dysfluency. I have a nervous stammer in social situations myself that I've been bullied for. Seeing what Rempel did yesterday to Justin actually made me start shaking and sobbing because it triggered memories of when I was in school. This isn't journalism, or normal politics. It's harassment. It's just like the Chretien ad insulting him for his Bell's Palsy, or when Trump mocked the reporter who had ALS, or the British press bullying Greta Thunberg over her selective mutism and the monotone inflection that arises from her autism. It's a hate crime against someone with a disability and it should be illegal to do what they do. I get that people may not agree with Justin on everything, but why do they have to stoop to the level of abusing him like that? I know, because they're Cons. Greedy, selfish, amoral, gaslighting abusers who care only about themselves. They make me literally sick.

    1. Hi Jackie...I feel the same way. I am absolutely disgusted by the way the Cons are behaving. I absolutely loathe bullies, and Scheer's gang are the most depraved political bullies I have ever seen. The good news is that they are clearly desperate, and I'm pretty sure that their bullying will cost them rather than win them votes...

    2. Both Prince "Bertie", later King George VI (after his quisling brother abdicated) and Nye Bevin, the father of the NHS, had severe stammers.

    3. Simon, I heartily agree, but why slight our simian cousins? They are our closest relatives. As you know, I feel the same about insulting non-human animals as you and I do about bullying.

I wonder what the Sask. personal and corporate income tax rates were under Tommy Douglas and if Ford would care to implement them in Ontario? Wow, budget surplus without service cuts!

    1. Hi anon....Ford , like Trump and other grubby right-wingers is only interested in dismantling what other governments before them have created. And for what he has done to demolish Ontario's climate change defences he deserves to be arrested....

I'm trying to imagine how Ape Ford must have reacted to Kiefer's tweet. It must have taken at least three of his stooges fanning furiously to cool him down. Too bad, nobody deserves it more than he does.

    1. Hi anon...it must have been an ugly sight, and may have required a fire hose to properly sedate him. Like so many bullies Ford secretly wants to be loved, and having a celebrity like Sutherland put him in his place must have been excruciating. Please sir, can we have more....

Kudos to Kiefer for setting the record straight. The only believable comparison Ford can make of himself to anyone's "achievements" would be Trump, Idi Amin, Lard Boy and Bozo the Clown.

    1. Hi JD....That's a very good list. Ford is a mini version of Trump, and since he must be blaming Lisa MacLeod for this debacle, his inner Idi Amin must be screaming for her to be served on a platter with an apple in her mouth. During the depraved reign of his brother I used to squirm with embarrassment when people in Europe would tell me how much they were enjoying his Bozo the Clown show. And only the arrival of Justin Trudeau managed to drag our image out of the gutter. Let's hope that Trudeau can put down this latest Ford pig and save our country again...

There couldn't be a better example of the dumbitude of the Ford Nation and their ape leader. It's scary thinking what they might do to Ontario before they are finally given the heave ho. I hope those who voted for him regret what they did until the day they die.

    1. Hi anon...Judging from the latest polls a lot of Ford voters now regret supporting that ugly ape. And when he starts dismantling the province's Medicare system those numbers will only grow. Unfortunately he won't start doing that until after the federal election, so some people in Ontario won't realize what they've done until it's too late. And if people in other parts of Canada think it could only happen in Ontario, they are in for a rude awakening...

    2. We are all great apes. This is what homo sapiens is, and no shame there. I'd rather compare Dougie with other human bullies and demagogues.

  6. Lisa is a three time or more loser at social media or just media. At least Pierre Peinis has some craft to his shot.

    1. Hi Steve....The thought of a loser like Macleod being the minister responsible for childrem is simply horrifying. She is a clear and present danger to vulnerable kids, she lacks empathy, and her comment about Tommy Douglas reveals her to be either a heartless Con ideologue or an absolute idiot, or both. God help the province of Ontario for unless those Cons can be stopped it will never again be what it once was, and that's Canada's loss as well...

  7. A very stupid move by a very stupid man. Nothing but bully and bluster with Doug Ford and the likes of Lisa MacLeod whose claim to fame is yelling and bellowing in parliament and cruelly going after kids with autism. The one good thing to come out of this POS being elected is that hopefully Andrew Scheer gets to wear Ford as a boat anchor and sink his way into political oblivion.

  8. Hi bcwaterboy...yes, it is a bully government of the lowest order. I never thought I would be living in a place more crass and bestial than even Harper's ugly Canada and I find it enormously depressing. But as you say, if Ford manages to drag down Scheer he will have done our country an enormous favour, and will be our useful idiot...

  9. I keep remembering how he "supported" his brother Rob, who was really a sad case with multiple addictions, including to food. I hated Rob, but would have preferred seeing him getting unscrewed.
