Julian Fantino and the Horrible Ketchup Scandal

Oh no. Not more weird Con scandals. And not bloody Julian Fantino !!#@!!!

What with Stephen Harper whipping up bigotry to try to snatch another bleeding majority, I don't know if I can handle it eh?

This could be the story that finally drives me over the edge. And sends me tumbling into the moral abyss this country has become.

The story of Julie, the Ketchup, and the buttocks.

A construction worker has pressed assault charges against MP and former Toronto Police chief Julian Fantino for allegedly smearing ketchup on his behind during a raid in 1973.

He says officers roughed him up for several minutes and one officer kneed him in the back while his friend was being assaulted in a bedroom. He alleges an officer then poured ketchup down his buttocks and Fantino spread the condiment by stroking the outside of his pants with a police baton.

“You look like you’re enjoying this, Bonnici,” he quoted Fantino as saying.

Because I can't even imagine such depravity. I can imagine Fantino lecturing veterans like they were children and saying this:

"Julian Fantino remember that name."

Or running from them in Europe...

And of course I can imagine Fantino as a bully, so I suppose anything is possible.

But then I don't know if that story is right or wrong, just like I don't know for sure whether the Con MP Rick Dykstra was encouraging underage drinking.

One girl, who is now 17 but was 16 at the time, tweeted: “Lol Rick Dykstra just paid for our bottle service”

Another girl, aged 18, tweeted the next day “Thanks for the bottle service last night @RickDykstra #voteDykstra #Mansion”

When the 18-year-old was asked on Twitter how much Dykstra covered she answered “everything, there was at least 6 Ciroc [vodka] bottles.”

But let's just just hope that if it's true WE didn't pay for it.

Mansion House lists bottles of Ciroc vodka at $170 each.

And of course, I can only wish that Rona Ambrose was there to lecture those young people about the dangers of binge drinking, which is a REAL problem in this country.

Instead of going on and on about the imagined dangers of marijuana...

And looking like an idiot. Over and over again.

But then of course their depraved leader Stephen Harper doesn't exactly set the best example himself...

Not after that notorious swimsuit party at his place, where some underage girl was found half naked suffering from alcohol poisoning...

Only to somehow get away with it, instead of being arrested.

But yeah, they are the Harper Cons, and every one of those little scandals can only help cement their image as the worst and scummiest government this country has ever known.

Because we really do have to defeat them before they degrade this country further.

So kids please, put your vodka shooters down for a minute, make sure you vote.

And in this ghastly Harperland, please be socially responsible...

Dykstra’s rep made a statement blaming it on the bar owner and staff. While those individuals actually do bear a legal responsibility in the matter, they share it with the person who made the purchase if that person was someone other than the underage person who consumed it. By stating incorrectly that underage persons are not permitted to be present in a licenced establishment, the spokesman was suggesting that Dykstra and his people could reasonably have assumed that anyone present was not underage. This evasion of responsibility is complete bullshit. It would be fitting if the bar owner were to take Dykstra up on it, but it’s doubtful that he would want to draw more attention to a situation in which he has some liability. My questions are: who made the purchase; how and by whom was the booze served; and what the hell is the candidate doing slurping it up with a gaggle of groupies, all of whom appear to be under the age of twenty-five and some of whom are obviously adolescents?

Our national affairs gossip punditry subjected us to over a week of references to the guy who pissed in a cup, but covered the incident at Ben Harper's underage booze party for all of ninety seconds, with no reference to the question of adult or homeowner responsibility. As I said at the time: if this had occurred in your neighbour's house, some adult resident would have been answering to the authorities for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Fantino’s perversity comes as no surprise.

Should have read "neuter your CONS and anyone who voted for harper"......
that way they can't reproduce any more anthropomorphic miscreants like themselves.
N'est pas? :-)

I am optimistic that the tide is turning. The niqab ploy peaked too soon and now they are in the uncomfortable position of trying to defend their over the top propaganda on a non issue. What is Stevie's fascination with telling women ( but not men ) how much skin they can show? Covering above the neck is not enough but uncovering above the waist is too much.

hi John...I agree with you, the Dykstra pictures and quotes seem to speak for themselves. And the more I think about it the more I can see Fantino doing that. Because I believe that was shortly before he became the police chief of London, Ontario and proceeded to terrorize some of its citizens. And yes, the media has let us down, But the good news is two more scandals can't help but hurt the Cons, and at this point that's all that counts...

hi anon...you're right, we can't show them ANY mercy. If they want to avoid being neutered they'll all have to move to Alberta... ;)

hi RT...you know I too am optimistic that the tide is turning. I don't think the Cons would be doing what they are doing if they weren't absolutely desperate. That kind of wedge politics might move some, but not enough to change the outcome of an election in a country where the desire for change is still strong. I can't believe that most Canadians won't see through Harper's bigot game, and consider it yet another reason to get rid of him...
