Putin, Trump and the Terrorist Cons

Vladimir Putin's murderous assault on Ukraine may be turning into a bloody boondoggle thanks to the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people.

But the monstrous dictator knows that he can always count on his stooge Donald Trump to praise him, or shamelessly blow him.

When the invasion began, Trump called Putin a genius, and "very very savvy."

After having tried to help him, by trying to destabilize Canada.

Sadly for Trump, his invasion force, and their good buddies the Con terrorists, were finally defeated by Justin Trudeau, who chased them out of town, jailed their leaders.

And left Trump a very bitter man.

Former U.S. president Donald Trump is assailing Canada as a country of "left-wing fascists" for the way it cleared protesters out of Ottawa last weekend.

He said protesters in Canada were "slandered" as Nazis, racists and terrorists, charged with what he called "phoney crimes" and accused of being loyal to foreign powers.

"We stand with the truckers and we stand with the Canadian people in their noble quest to reclaim their freedom."

But while Trump's deranged statement left most sane Canadians shaking their heads, and wondering when his dementia, or his syphilis, would finally kill him.

It left the grotesque Candy Bergen shaking or quivering with embarrassment...

For obvious reasons.

It also left Andrew Scheer looking like an idiot. For he said some crazy things during the fascist occupation.

And he was always Trump's favourite Con lapdog.

Woof. Woof.

But the Con who stands to lose the most from his master's voice is Pierre Poilievre.

For nobody welcomed the Con terrorists more wildly than he did.

He cheered them as they entered Ottawa, he offered them coffee and donuts. He suggested they were right to try to topple the Trudeau government.

And as even the Con friendly John Ibbitson points out, that's not a good look for a man who would be Prime Minister.

Donald Trump has long been an admirer of Russian President Vladimir Putin. When that suddenly became awkward, a few days ago, the former president and presumptive Republican nominee in 2024 crafted a new mantra: The Russian government is bad for invading Ukraine, but the Canadian government is worse for shutting down the protests in Ottawa.

This is a problem for those Conservatives who stood with the horn-honking truckers and their supporters in opposing pandemic measures. Leadership contender Pierre Poilievre, in particular, championed their cause. Now the MAGA crowd has granted that cause the moral equivalency of Ukrainians resisting a Russian invasion.

This is not a good look.

Not when Justin Trudeau is doing such a brilliant job of standing up to the fascist dwarf Putin.

The government’s response to the crisis in Ukraine thus far has been pitch-perfect: matching and at times leading European and American allies in confronting the Russian threat.

This puts Conservatives in general, and Mr. Poilievre in particular, in a difficult spot. The Carleton MP made a big deal of his support for “freedom, not fear; truckers, not Trudeau.” That places him on the same side of the argument as Mr. Trump.

Does he also think the Liberal government is a collection of “left-wing fascists?” Does he also think that Mr. Putin is smart and his opponents are dumb, that truckers and Ukrainians are equal victims of oppression?

If so, then he is offside with most Canadians, including most Conservatives. And that is not a place anyone who wants to become Conservative prime minister ought to be.

Now there are of course many reasons not to vote for the Cons. No decent Canadians should support the trucker Trump terrorist party.

But Poilievre is the dirtiest of the dirty.

And we can count on him to finish them off...

Planning on going to fight yourself?

It’s funny, I know more guys who are Tories looking to kill some Russians than Liberals.

  2. It does not look fortuitous in the short term for the Ukrainian government, but all signs point to Ukraine being Putin's Vietnam or Afghanistan: a protracted, premature Pyrrhic victory against a stubborn local insurgency, that has already resulted with the economic devastation of his own country and may very well accelerate his own demise. Good riddance to bad rubbish whenever it happens.

So much for being one of the "great men of history." Putin will forever be remembered as a hated bully, a nuclear-age Hitler. Meanwhile, Zelensky, whatever his fate, is already a hero on par with Gandhi or Mandela. A Nobel Peace Prize is surely in the offing for this valiant young "happy warrior," a 21st-century Spartacus who stated himself on his own Twitter account that none other than Trudeau was one of the inspirations for his own political career.

Now, if/when Trump is returned to office in two years, he would make the US a pariah state if he foolishly chose to back his boss Putin. Even more so if he stupidly made enemies of Trudeau and the Canadian people with saber rattling of an unthinkable Kyiv-style siege of Ottawa, as he and his QAnon harpies like Green and Boebert have been perversely fantasizing about as of late. Nonetheless, should Zelensky survive and be forced into exile, it is the opinion of this apologetic American that Canada would be a safer place for him than the US, simply due to Trump's presence down here versus a friendly and welcoming environment with Trudeau and Freeland and the Ukrainian diaspora as a whole.

Now, as for Skippy: he may be all bluster right now about Putin, calling Europe weak sad dopey failing losers for not igniting WW3 to go against a madman, and impugning Trudeau with Ethical Oil bullshit straight from Kenney's rear orifice. But as I pointed out with my nesting doll analogy, he is simply a puppet of Trump, as is Canadian conservatism (Harper/Manning/Byfield-ism) writ large.

Trump's verbatim endorsement of Skippy is not necessary, as the Cons have already been tarred with the orange brush of being a Trumpist branch plant, much like Putin's stooge in Belarus. Hopefully the Liberals blast him with the stain of Cheeto dust around his churlish mouth, and that a breakaway of the Romney/Cheney/Kinzinger-esque legacy Tories 1993-style causes a permanent fracture of the Cons once and for all. Much like the madman of Moscow, albeit on a much smaller scale, it would mean that Pyrrhic Pierre had "won" a bucket-list scorched earth battle, only to ultimately lose the war.

  3. @Anon 8:36 PM: And how many sympathize with the asinine notion advanced by Cons that Trudeau is a dictator (or Freeland, a nazi)? My guess is your ooh-rah buddies are looking to live out some testosterone-infused high school fantasies of reenacting Red Dawn rather than any genuine sympathy for the Ukrainian people. Or that you simply have more cons in your friend group and don't know many Liberals, personally, who I'm sure have either decided to suit up for the Ukrainian international militia force or are fighting the information war at home. Ask them what do they think of the fact that Zelensky named Trudeau personally as one of his inspirations for joining politics, or that he has called Trudeau a friend.

Do explain the silence from your side of the aisle on Putin's stooge who bravely stood his ground in the Bowling Green Massacre on the grassy knolls of Bedminster despite a bad case of bone spurs, and what he said about Trudeau. Or the remarks from his sycophants calling to "liberate Canada" in much the same way as Putin himself is lying about "liberating Ukraine."

Statements of supposed patriotism from the right wing can be taken with about as much validity as anything coming from either orifice of the Mass Murderer from Moscow or his moronic middleman in Mar-a-Lago.

Anon 8:36, you and or your imaginary Con friends going to fight for Ukraine is laughable. War requires personal sacrifices that benefit the many and you morons can't even wear a mask or get the shot without blubbering like spoiled children "my fweedumbs, my fweedumbs, wahhhhhh". Thanks for the laugh though. Know and any other good jokes?

  5. Hi anon@8:36PM...Only a Con could write a comment like that one. You really are Putin's little treasonous bitches. Who is suggesting that Canadians should travel to Ukraine to fight the Russians? And as for suggesting that Cons hate Putin's bullies more than progressives do, get real. Most Cons are bullies, religious fanatics, misogynists and homophobes, like Putin himself, and most of his rabid supporters. Cons are traitors to this country and its values, so it's not surprising that they are suffering as they watch Justin Trudeau get so many compliments for handling the situation so brilliantly. While all you Cons do is lose and lose and lose...

  6. Hi Jackie....Yes, the heroic people of Ukraine will almost certainly pay a heavy price if they try to take on the Russians head on. But they seemed to be preparing for a long insurgency, while their many allies reduce Putin and his gang to a state of poverty, with biting sanctions. Sanctions that should soon reduce the Russians to eating weeds and fighting over the last bottle of cheap vodka. It's sad, because I feel a lot of sympathy for the decent Russians who deserve better. But I'm hoping that their anger will eventually result in one of them fire a few bullets into the dictator. It seems to me to be the only way to disarm him before he kills us all, so the sooner the better...

  7. Hi Jackie@9:20 PM....Believe it or not, the first three comments, that arrived minutes after I published this post, were from three Cons suggesting that Trudeau couldn't fight Putin as well as they could. And that the reason he can't do that was because he doesn't believe in the miraculous powers of "ethical oil." Can you believe it? The Ukrainians are fighting heroically to try to save their country, and all the Cons care about is our dirty oil industry. No wonder they found that fascist convoy so attractive. The one that despite all their calls to "hold the line" faded away like a snowflake on a hot summer's day. What cowards they all are...

  8. Hi JD...Yes, I had the same reaction. The thought of those Cons marching as to war had me howling with laughter. Cons like most bullies are cowards. And as you point out, if they're afraid of getting a needle, what would they do if they met a Russian armed with an AK-47? My guess is they would first try to drink him under the table, and then run for their lives all the way back to Canada, shouting "fweedumb "
"fweedumb" as they ran. As you may know serious scientific studies show that the Cons have unusually large fear glands in their brains. So they are the last people we can count on to defend us....

  9. Hi anon@9:50 PM....Yes the dreaded Konservative Keyboard Kommandos are on the prowl again. Having consumed about 20 beers at some dingy Legion Hall, and not knowing exactly where they are, or where they are going. Or heaven forbid, who exactly they want to kill, apart from Justin Trudeau. I normally delete their comments on arrival, but these day they're so desperate, they're almost funny...

Interesting to see now that Twitter has been shut down coming out of Russia the vast majority of the new or long dormant accounts with little to no followers have stopped posting in support of both the convoys and the government.

Interesting how all the “bots” supporting right-wing political discourse have suddenly dried up. The same bots that supported the “freedumb” convoys in Canada? I mentioned before that I wondered about a connection between the promotion of the convoys and aggression against Ukraine. Meanwhile, while apparently promoting ending the vaccine mandates, herr Putin is becoming Howard Hughes - cowering from COVID-19 by only meeting with key advisers if the keep at least 20 feet away from him. Macron recently noted that Putin has changed over the past couple of years. Let’s hope Putin’s inner circle removes him from power before he can do any further damage. Freeland’s efforts are having worldwide support and turning the screws. Even Switzerland - Switzerland! - is onside. And, apparently the spring thaw is beginning to negatively impact the Russian advance. Every little bit helps.

  12. Hi anon@7:25AM….Yes, the right wing bots have apparently gone to black, but that still leaves a few bot farms in Canada that will have to be investigated when the inquiry begins. And the Con crazies are still out there. I had one comment this morning accusing me of riding a motorbike drunk, even though I don’t drink!! I think a lot of Cons are just so desperate they are drinking so much they don’t know what they are saying…🤡

  13. Hi UU….I think that the Con terrorists were aided and abetted by pro Putin forces. They knew an invasion was coming and they wanted to distract our government as much as possible. I know the police are already taking a good look at some of the biggest donors, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the inquiry exposes a few Con Russian agents. As for Putin, I believe he is suffering from some mental disorder. I personally believe he had Covid a while back and he is terrified about getting it again. I also hope his inner circle and oligarch criminals remove him from power before he kills us all….

I can't even listen to those treasonous Cons speak of Ukraine after they urged on the freedumb convoy and broke bread with or fed known white supremacists. This is no longer an exception but rather the rule with the Cons. They unabashedly support racists and it's been going on for a long time. In fact, I believe many of them are closet racists/nazis. MAGA Barbie Bergen's Trumpy good people on both sides argument is just one of many examples as proof of that and wearing that MAGA hat is equivalent to having a swastika on it. Another, Scheer and peewee at the yellow vest rally, sharing a stage with Fraulein Faith Goldy who had told indigenous protesters to leave the country if they didn't like it here. Funny how the media barely notices stuff like that and that's why they've gotten away with it for so long.
I hope the inquiry exposes all of the ties the Cons have to the hate groups that are infecting this country so Canadians can see for themselves that the official opposition is in fact Canada's version of the 21st century's Nazi party.

Hi Simon: On the issue of the russian bots not being present or as frequent on various platforms, is there official confirmation? I've read about this in a few blogs now (e.g. politicos who buy "likes" and "shares") but it seems anecdotal only.

Also, why would the russian bot farms have stopped? They still need the divisiveness, especially in Ukraine. Could it be that the bot farms have been blocked or hacked? or their funding was blocked? what could be the reason?

    Thank you.

  16. I just blocked Chantal out of anger that with all the turmoil happening in the world, she decides to publish an article out of nowhere pushing for regime change in the LPC (or claiming that she "sees the writing on the wall"). Maybe she should get a spellchecker. She used to be good. Now she's just another Trudeau-basher in her oxygen-deprived bubble like all the rest of them. Fuck Canadian media, they're no better than Sputnik or Russia Today.

  17. Hi JD....I know what you mean. When I hear one of the Cons proclaiming their desire for freedom in Ukraine, after trying to overthrow the government, it absolutely disgusts me. How stupid do they think Canadians are? With Bergen and Poilievre their support for the convoy will serve us as a political weapon all the way to the next election. I saw a Fifth Estate documentary on the convoy recently, and the behaviour of the Con terrorists was even worse than I had imagined. They looked like beasts, it really was a horror movie. And it was the natural end to a long journey to right-wing extremism. If we start running scenes from the convoy and show Bergen and Poilievre cuddling them, I don't see how we can lose....

  18. Hi Marc...All I know about the decrease in the number of bots from Russia is also anecdotal. But some of those who claim the number of bots attacking them has gone down, are very respectable figures in the Twitter universe. So I tend to believe them. As for the reason bot activity is down, it's because Twitter is denying access to people in Russia. Without Twitter much of their message is muted. So it's not as if the bot farms have turned over a new leaf, it's just that they can't reach most of us. And since the Russians specialize in "fake news" and nasty attack stuff, their Con stooges are not what they used to be. Thank goodness....

  19. Hi Jackie…..good for you. I’m smiling a bit, because I’ve been telling people for months that Chantal has changed, and was becoming more right-wing with ever passing day. She’s always suggesting that Justin Trudeau should resign so the party can be rejuvenated. When in fact, at this time in history, having Trudeau step down would be a catastrophe for the Liberals, and Chantal is the one who should be rejuvenated, or even better replaced. My guess is she wants Trudeau to resign, so she can write a book on the Rise and fall of Justin Trudeau, with a beginning and an end. But then she blocked me for absolutely no reason many months ago, so I don’t know what she’s up to, and frankly I don’t care….

just as Justin Trudeau was bear trapped. The truckers dont leave you lose, the trucker leave because of the Emergency power you lose.

The Anglo Saxons have been laying these traps and reaping the rewards for 4 centuries and you are blaming Putin for being a victim.

Chantal Hébert can be a cogent, good writer that calls out bullshit and expresses herself quite well.
She is working for the Toronto Star now though, and the Star is owned by Conservative minds so she likely has to publish pablum like that.
Additionally, she let slip that she is a pro-seperatist force in discussions about Canada Day last year. Essentially, paraphrasing, "As for Canada Day I am agnostic on the issue" in other words, she is a QC nationalist.

So given that we now know this, is it surprising she wants Mr. Trudeau gone? Not in the least, since she thinks Poilievre will probably cut taxes or some other benefit to her.

That said, I've said too much on her already.
The important thing is the PMO is invisible, but not dormant and will eventually use all of those pictures of Pigeon Pierre in front of Konvoy, Candice Bergen dining with Konvoy and all that stuff to drive a stake into CPC, once and for all....

Tasha Kherridin is well-known in political circles and has a column as well. She may be too inside baseball for the crazies, but she'd probably be "reasonable" in today's age, even with her connection to Satan himself, Stephen Harper...
