When Will The Cons Accept That The Fake Scandal Is Dead?

Earlier today I wrote a post about the disgraceful way the grotesque Con media has been behaving in its coverage of the fake scandal.

And after comparing their fevered frenzy to the Lord of the Flies, I thought what Michael Coren had to say might teach them some manners.

Or at least encourage them to control themselves and/or their bowels.

But alas, I was wrong.

Because now the Cons and their shabby stooges are back, and are more hysterical than ever.

First they had the old Con hack Bob Fife promote an emergency meeting of the justice committee, in the middle of the March break.

And then they screamed "Cover-up!" when the Liberals told them to take a hike.

Opposition MPs hurled angry claims of a "coverup" today after Liberals used their majority to shut down an emergency meeting of the committee probing the SNC-Lavalin affair.

The meeting was requested by Conservative and NDP members to press the Liberals to recall Jody Wilson-Raybould to testify again, even though the Liberals already had defeated a similar motion.

As if anybody but the Cons, their media stooges, and other dirty old toxic Trudeau haters, want to hear from Jody Wilson-Raybould again.

As if anybody needs to hear what Pierre Poilievre has to say about anything to do with decency or justice.

Conservative MP Pierre Poilievre accused Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of ordering Liberal committee members to shut down the hearing so "Canadians will never know the truth." He said Tuesday's meeting is "secret" and that the Liberal majority can shut it down whenever it wants.

"Justin Trudeau is transforming the justice committee into the Justin committee," he said.

After the way he behaved when he was Stephen Harper's favourite monkey...

For if he thinks we have forgotten, he couldn't be more wrong.

And it's time the Cons and their shabby media stooges understood that the fake scandal is over.

And that it's time for our parliament to move on to more serious matters.

Like holding a public inquiry, or calling for a police investigation, to try to determine why so many of Andrew Scheer's Cons are alt-right extremists, misogynists, racists, homophobes, and climate change deniers....

So we can try to figure out what Scheer might do to this country and its precious values if he ever got to form a government.

Which luckily for us, and sadly for the Cons, doesn't look like it's going to happen.

Not when despite all the excrement the Cons and their filthy media stooges have been throwing at him, Justin Trudeau isn't in trouble, he's doing rather well...

And maybe even heading for another majority.

Although don't tell this scorched magpie because he seems to think the Con media can be trusted, and Trudeau is ready to be embalmed.

Right.

Oh boy, as I said the other day, the old toxic Trudeau haters can scream all they want...

But the fake scandal is dead.

And so is the Con media...

Speaking of roasting spam, Simon, can you kickban the obnoxious out-of-nowhere troll, "PR Guy" from stinking up the place anymore? I think he's got issues with something else that's short and snippy, and it's not his comments...

Fifa had another "scoop" Trudeau on vacation with his family in Florida. Hold the presses father with three young children on spring break has a respite in Florida. Fife was retweeting Kinsella's invective. Fife needs to be shot out of a cannon into a vat of his own bullshit and he can take Rex Murphy, Paul Wells, Andrew Coyne, and Matt Gurney with him.

    Dear Simon,
Just for S & G, I googled Bob Fife bias.
Back in the good old days of Harper, who used to go after the government of the day?
Golly it was Bob Fife and the rest of the Press Gallery.
They were doing their job, keeping the government on their toes and selling newspapers).
That's how it usually goes despite partisan selective memory.
Anyway tomorrow's another day and we'll see if the "fake" scandal still has legs.
In the meantime, I enjoy the cartoons, Photoshop work and admittedly the sound of progressive teeth gnashing.
    Take care.

    1. Yeah, you should look up what he did to Arar for "S&G". The man is a tabloid ambulance chaser with zero journalistic integrity.

Thanks for finally admitting that you, yourself are a partisan hack. Why the fuck do you even come here other than to "trigger the libs"?

Fife was pretty much the only journalist of note who did not apologize for smearing Arar.
I take at face value that Chretien was kept in the dark about Arar for a long time before he appealed for his release.
BTW Harper apologized in an unqualified manner for what happened to Arar.
That was then, this is now and Fife's article on SNC has stuck. Deflect all you want.
      Stay classy...

Hi PR GUY, Does the PR stand for Progressive Regurgitive? Just wondering. Fife during the Harper years along with many others in the media had so many blatant abuses of power to go after Harper on, they didn't need to blow what amounts to an office spat ridiculously out of proportion to bring attention to themselves so comparing the two moments in time is pretty lame. Their biggest concerns then was which abuse of power do they go after Harper on on any given day. Bribing Duffy, contempt of parliament, siccing the CRA on charities for having the audacity to disagree with him and my favorites to compare with todays events and should serve as a lesson in hypocrisy for you:

"Harperites Deliberately Sabotage, Stymie Committee System"
Conservatives used tactics such as barring witnesses, closure, time limitations, and in camera sessions to an extent rarely, if ever, witnessed in Canada. In their early days in power, top Conservatives prepared a handbook instructing committee chairpersons how to obstruct proceedings.

"Harper Minister Caught in Advertising Scam with Public Funds"
The Globe and Mail revealed that Harper’s chosen Minister for Democratic Reform Pierre Poilievre commissioned a team of public servants for overtime work on a Sunday to film him glad-handing constituents. The vanity video on the taxpayer dime was to promote the government’s benefits for families.

Here's another 68 you can read up on so you can reflect back to the good old days of the Harper reign.

So therein lies the problem. The vultures in the Con media have so little to go after Trudeau on that they now have to resort to flogging dead horses for attention. It's actually quite sad.

It's hilarious when connies try too hard to be politically incorrect. Trying to act like you're a snowflake, hoping to get the angry liberal response. Only problem is when you give them the laughing liberal instead they get all whiny and sometimes bellicose. I avoid giving the laughing liberal to the ones that are bigger than me, they often get violent when you don't give the expected response.

So now JWR has more truth to tell? Really? What could it be now? "JT made me feel uncomfortable", "JT shouted at me", "JT left the toilet seat up". She had her chance to tell her truth and was shot down by Butts and Wernick so now it's on to plan B as in Bullshit.
She's got a lot of nerve sitting as a Liberal MP while essentially trying to destroy their chances at re-election this October. It's kind of like playing hockey for coach Benedict Arnold. You go out, play as hard as you can and try and score as many goals as you can against your own goalie.
Good luck in your future endeavours, JWR. I wonder what you'll say when asked what constitutes a team player on future job interviews? Good luck with that one.

Aww. Thanks Simon for saving me from having to embarrass BS GUY again. I don't really care to do that but he is a Con and Cons take pleasure in inflicting misery on others so waddya gonna do? I say to PR GUY, try being nice for a change. If there's any modicum of decency in you you'll be amazed at what it does for your soul.

    4. Hi JD....I'm sorry for denying you the pleasure of embarrassing PR GUY again. But he was getting a bit persistent , and although he was a cut above the usual Con trolls, I've decided that I don't want any Cons commenting here, especially those with alt-right tendencies. Also I try to answer as many comments as I can, and I've had so many recently I can hardly keep up, and Spring is coming...⚽️⚾️🎾

With the support of the media and to some extents Trudeau's own personality the Cons spent 3 plus years of heavily invested propaganda to create the Icarus moment. The wings melted as planned but instead of being swept out to sea he appears to have softly landed on dry land, a little shaken but hopefully with both the Unicorn and Satan caricatures shed exposing one of a fallible but dedicated humanitarian. Leadership needs to be tested, although its a rather low bar so far there has not been any Trumpian moments which is a good sign.

    1. Hi RT...Justin Trudeau has an unusual power, that has helped him survive both Harper and Scheer. Because he is fundamentally a nice guy when the Cons attack him like hyenas they can make him more rather than less popular. The amount of abuse of the lowest kind that he has been subjected to is unbelievable. But somehow he's still standing. The Cons should really take their porno show south of the border...

  10. virtue signalling, another Frank Lutz assault on the English language. Turning the strength of thought into a expletive. How about we say when the cons say something its Aryan signaling.

First they renamed "politeness" to be "political correctness". The absurd examples of "political correctness" such as thanking someone for robbing you are easily addressed if you use the original word "politeness". Polite means be civil, not be a fool or a doormat like they love to imply.

But that got old, so they had to rebrand "doing the right thing" as "virtue signalling". Similar idea, being a good person is to be changed to trying to look good.

We're not hearing much about the other canard of court decisions rebranded as "judicial activism" because that would be in dissonance with the current "government interference". Not once, have we heard the Director of Public Prosecutions referred to as "unelected", but it would be plastered all over the place if it was the Cons *commanding* that SNC be given a DPA, which of course they would have done. Disobedient JWR would be gone in September assuming she had ever made the Con cabinet, and we would have heard JWR referred to as Metis Jody, or "Jody, Stephen is sick of your half breed interference" (apologies to Star Trek).

Not only would the Con cabinet inform us that all unelected officials should be at their beck and call, any disagreement with the becking and calling would be called treason.

But my favourite is "liberalism is a form of mental illness". Reminds me of how the Soviet Union used to put dissidents in mental institutions. When asked, they simply pointed out that anyone opposing the police state totalitarian dictatorship would have to be crazy.
